Used for fondant and gumpaste work

I have been using this as a fondant/gumpaste work mat. I cut using exacto blades and so far have not done any damage to this mat. It is very heavy duty unlike some other mats I've used in the past that ended up warping over time. Also please to know that the fondant and gumpaste did stick to the mat.

I'm really happy with my mat, I've never owned one before so I can't compare but this one arrived on time and was shipped flat and it does exactly what it's supposed to. I've used it may times and there aren't any marks on it. I think it's going to last a looking time. The price was great too.

I love owning this mat

I love owning this mat; it doubles and triples as my work surface for so many things! This size is perfect if you've got a lot of things going on at the same time.

GREAT CUTTING MAT!!!

I just bought this cutting mat yesterday and it was totally amazing. It helped me and my kid out with his book project. When we accidentally cut the mat we thought it was officially over, but apparently, the cuts heal over time! Isn't it amazing? I recommend this mat to everyone and anyone who has trouble cutting. Perfect! And it has the little ruler on it and I love that. Cant see the scratches on it and it is sturdy. Plus it is more then half the price of the ones in the store. So that's nice. Would get it again but don't think I will ever need to.

This mat is perfect for my work area at work

This mat is perfect for my work area at work. It can take some deep cuts and really not effect it. I have enjoyed it so much that I think I will need to get one for home to. It really has saved the surface of my desk. No more cuts in my desktop. :)

Very durable cutting mat

I really love that you can use a razor blade to cut vinyl, paper, plastic,... and the mat does not get damaged.

Great Value

This mat works great to protect my desk. I was a little concerned about it coming rolled, but it soon flattened out and I've had no issues since.

do not place a anything HOT on these

Self-Healing Cutting Mat, 18" x 24", Blue I had previously purchased one of these by Alvin. I used it as a mat on top of my desk by I set a warm dinner plate on it and it warped. So first off do not place a anything HOT on these. I much prefer the blue color and this is a much heavier and thicker matt than the Alvin product. It is a shame they offer these in a metric format.

High Quality. Good weight. Not Some Generic Junk Mat.

Seems to be a fairly high quality mat. Feels thick and has some heft to it. My mother, who has had a bunch of (expensive) name brand mats that shes bought locally and uses for sewing, was surprised by the quality and price. She might be looking to get one in the future. Was slightly rolled up into shipping box which gave it a slight curve but 30 mins in the sun fixed that. I'm impressed that it came in a nice plastic sleeve with the company/mat info sheet, as most things I get from Amazon these days come in a ziploc bag with a generic part # and bar code on it, probably from some backwoods shadowy business. Has that nice, fresh new product smell, no weird off-gassing stench. Says Made in Taiwan and Dahle is based in New Hampshire I guess.
