I have trusted Loctite products since my first car, a 1956 Chevy Belair and have used them ever since. Never have let me down. I needed some fresh stuff for a rebuild of an early GM steering column. When you need something to stay put, its a no brainer,... Loctite!

Great permanent bolt locker
I used this to lock in bolts on my boat that will face heavy vibration. Been using it for years and have no had backing out issues. Highly suggest using this for any heavy duty threaded bolt situation. Be advised that this stuff can make it very difficult to remove a bolt later on. Other than that, go ahead and lock up them bolts!!

Motorcycle
I use this on my motorcycle because it likes to vibrate bolts loose. Been using for years and never lost a bolt.

Aways works great.
Great stuff at a good price. I have always used Loctite on all my projects that call for it. As a retired master mechanic I often make the determination as to when to, and not to use a thread locking compound. To be safe, the layman should always follow MFG. recommendations as to when Loctite is needed.

Awesome product.
This works again as advertised, i used it to install my V6 muzzle brake on my KSG and it worked great, that thing has not flinched a millimeter from when i first set it and it's been there for months and hundreds of rounds mostly slugs or 00 buck shot out of it, i think i've shot about 6 shells of birdshot in my life and not with this shotgun. It just works for weapons applications just make sure what you're using it for you're not intending to remove regularly cuz i would assume it would suck for you then, use the blue loctite instead which i have for regular bolts and such.

Making Plugs hold permanently...
I had to use cut-off screws to plug holes in a piece of high-pressure steel, and these "plugs" must never come out or loosen. I have two varieties of Loctite Threadlocker, but they're not strong enough. This "271 Heavy Duty" is strong enough that these plugs will probably never loosen. In fact, I suspect that they would be almost impossible to remove, even if deliberately trying to do so. Great stuff !

THIS IS THE "LOC" IN LOCTITE!
I use the mighty strong LocTite on those parts of my Harley that I would probably never remove and I don't want them vibrating loose. If you use this super strong LocTite you may have to heat the bolt to get it removed. Judicious use is suggested!

Lock it down
Just install 1.75" Rugged Ridge spacers on my Wrangler Sahara Jk and this stuff is the ship it. Been around for over fifties years and does what it says it'll do. Use with confidence.

Pay Attention to the Color Code!
Make sure you know the color codings. I needed something a little stronger than the blue Loctite, even exposed to oil and solvents the Red Loctite won't slip. Red Threadlocker 271 (Automotive Aftermarket Only) is a high strength threadlocker for heavy-duty applications. Especially well suited for permanently locking studs and press fits. Adds 3,000 psi holding power on slip and press fit assemblies. *If you ever to want unscrew anything you've used the red on, use to blue.

It absolutely works great and does what it says it will do.
We use Chicago screws to secure leather straps in places where most people may rivet. This allows for is to create a product that has a longer life. But we had a slight problem with the screws coming loose in certain circumstances. So now we use one of three different loctite threadlockers (based on the usage that our product will get). This allows us to still use screws, and to unscrew the screw it with a little extra work. This product has allowed us to continue our manufacturing process with very little change to our process. It absolutely works great and does what it says it will do.
