If you are making a fish or seafood based sauce or soup, a little of this Seafood Stock will absolutely ramp the flavor to the next level. Made from lobster, fish and shrimp stock, just plain water added to this stock produces a good-tasting result. This stock added to your already simmering chowder or gumbo or lobster sauce produces a flavor that you couldn't reproduce on your own with less than hours of work reducing lobster, shrimp and fish down to create your own stock. More Than Gourmet makes several stocks and demi-glaces that rocket liquid or semi-liquid sauces and soups to the next level. If you haven't tried it, you kind of owe it to yourself to give one a try. I'm a seafood love, but the beef, chicken and classic (from condensed veal and Espagnole sauce) are all the bomb-diggety as well. We were provided a sample of this product in exchange for this unbiased review: but there were already several More Than Gourmet containers in our pantry.

I have used this brand of Demiglace before , and have always had excellent results. I usually uses one tablespoon only when I make my pan sauses for fish or shellfish . It really adds a kick to the flavor of the sauce, I normally buy the larger size at whole Foods when I’m there then place 1 tablespoon of Demiglace in each compartment of a empty ice cube tray, it freezes very well and when your making a sauce or whatever and require some Glacé ! Just use what you need in convient 1 tablespoon cubes !

Used this in my authentic creole gumbo and people told me this was the best I had ever made. "Off the chain" was an exact quote. Funny thing is, my recipe is 150 years old, goes to show you can improve most anything. I am glad I found this it shaved hours off my prep time by saving me from the dreaded stock making stage and it has a more robust full flavor than what I have been making all along.

I'm trying to up my game in the kitchen and these products help a lot. Also contacted customer service with related cooking questions and they were VERY helpful.

Not all salt like so many bases. I’m a fan of More Than Gourmet, all their stuff is top notch. A pinch of this makes your gumbo great, your bouillabaisse boss, and your poached pompano peachy!

For years I’ve labored under the tyranny of seafood stock. Stinky fish heads, shattering lobster shells, sandy clams. No longer. This product has brought many of the great Creole dishes back from my enterprising youth, which I thought had succumbed to my recent laziness.

This stuff is great! I’ve primarily used it as fish stock in my ciappino. It is pricey, though. In my area I literally cannot find fish stock on the grocery store shelves, so very happy that I found this shelf-stable concentrated fish stock. I bought a full box knowing I’d eventually use it.

I used the stock for shrimp and grits and it was perfect! I do wish it came in a little bit smaller containers.

This stuff adds a lot of flavor . Easy to use and can save time .

Not salty at all and really richens up the stock I make.
