I've been making my own laundry detergent using the Arm & Hammer Washing Soda plus Borax and some essential oils. The clothes get super clean and it's pretty cheap as well.

I bought this due to have towels that did not seem soft and no matter what I did I never felt our laundry smelled "fresh". I add half a cap to our usual soap and a full load. WOW, our towels are soft, more absorbent. Our clothes SMELL like our detergent, and CLEAN. I am really enjoying this product, whenever I have an order I add it on for 4 bucks. I have seen it at our local home improvement store too. Can't be beat, give it a shot especially if you have hard water! I don't think the product itself has much of a smell, it is more of a helper to your detergent!

I’m a believer in laundry additives. I’m weird in that I really DO like to wash clothes and see those dirty, smelly things transform into clean, nice-smelling clothing and linens. And I think additives do that. I probably don’t need to always put some additive in when washing clothes, but I feel as if I’m short-changing that batch if I don’t. I said I was weird. Well, this A&H Super Washing Soda has been around for a long time, so it must work. It is also inexpensive. If I asked my husband to buy it in the store, I don’t know what I’d get.

Must have for diy detergent, works wonders and you can customize your own scent!! I used the ever popular recipe: 1 cup borax, 1 cup washing soda, a a grated bar of homemade soap. Blended until powdery and viola stinky towels smell yummy!! I used 3 tbs on a large load of exclusively towels, and it was overkill! Will onky need 1 tbs per average load at my house :D I had never heard of this stuff before, but I don't like to think about those dark times.

Clean, no chemicals ...works well by itself ...I add it to my water and vinegar ...I cleaned both tile and wood floors wonderfully ...no steaks and better than anything I used on both floors ....

I don't know why everyone isn't using washing soda. Detergent is crummy and leaves a film on your laundry. This stuff cleans very well, leaves laundry smelling good and keeps towels more fluffy.

Takes out tough stains. Dried blood. Grass, Oil (for oil i mix this with dawn let it sit and its gone in the next wash) A tablespoon in your dishwater will leave you with the glasses that look brand new. Separates proteins. Stuck on eggs, cheese you name it. You could probably get it cheaper but delivered at this price is a steal. I love it. Im allergic to oxyclean but who cares this is better, has more uses and it cheaper.

This stuff is AMAZZZING! I used to use OxiClean, but its expensive and it discolored my clothes if it didn't properly dissolve in the water. No such issues with this washing soda! I just shake a little in the washer and it gets my clothes super clean. It was nice that for the price I got two boxes. I will definitely be repurchasing whenever this runs out.

I make my own laundry detergent and this is half the recipe. My hard water doesn’t stand a chance. No scent that I detect, but clothes and washer are amazingly clean. 3 ingredients in my detergent, this, Borax and Ivory or a basic soap. Costs me pennies, takes literally 5-10 minutes every 8 weeks to make and I know what is in my detergent. Thank you Arm & Hammer.

I bought it to use as electrolytic medium for rust removal, vs using muriatic acid, and its a lot cheaper. Look it up on youtube. Then I thought to use a dash in the washer with the regular detergent, and the difference was amazing, the whites were brighter, and no faint lingering smell of not completely clean clothes. I dont have to wash really dirty clothes twice anymore. And I dont need to bleach nearly as much.
