I recommend this one for smaller parrots. Parrots need to have things to destroy to keep them happy. They are not simply contented with plastic, non-destructible toys, they need to shred and chew things. Some wood toys will suit their need to chew things up--but other toys like this one fulfills their needs to destroy and shred things. I've had these before and my bird loves to tear them apart. It keeps him busy and contented for hours and quieter. If you're new to parrot keeping don't buy toys on the basis of longevity alone, but things that they can destroy to fulfill their need for more active chewing activities. This toy last s bit longer than some shreadables and is cute to boot.

UPDATE 2: I ordered another one after my parakeets were done with it, and to my huge surprise this one had a real bell - with a clapper and everything. Now my parakeets have gone batty about it. UPDATE: Added another star because after a month my budgies are crazy about this toy. Still disappointed the bell is fake b/c my budgies love bells and would've been crazier about this. I read that it was going to be small but still was surprised on how small it was. Like another reviewer said, the bell is only for decoration and does not have a clapper or make any sounds unlike all the other parakeet toys I have. I don't mind that it's cheap as long as the parakeets like it, and it's non-toxic.

My Indian Ringneck likes his new toy. Tried to get him playing with it so I could take his picture. I guess compared to my IPhone it still isn’t as cool as the camera 🤣🤣

My two parakeets find this little toy endlessly entertaining and it's big enough they can even hang on it. They are slowly pulling out the little papers but I just weave them back in for more fun. I'll have to replace it eventually but they are getting a lot of mileage out it so I don't mind.

My cockatiel loves this toy. We have now bought this toy twice because he slowly destroyed the first one. Over time he pulls out each of the papers and then chews up the stars. This provides our bird with days and days of entertainment. Plus he likes to ring the bell. Thankfully the bell is not obnoxious. We will probably purchase another one after our bird destroys the most recent one :)

My parakeet loves new toys and favors some over others. She started playing with this right way. I am not sure how long the little paper things are going to last. It is a very small toy and I had to hang it off a latter so it was low enough for her to play with. I hope she doesn't choke on the paper..... :( But other than the fact it is small and came with a few paper strands it is a cool looking toy with bright colors. It brightens up the cage.

I bought three of these for my 2 canaries, 2 parakeets and Finch. Even though the toys are pricey, they were the best size (not too big), and best type of toy that these bird breeds would enjoy. I've purchased toys in the past that were much too big. These are perfect!

My baby parakeet is crazy about this toy. The paper was an instant hit and then it took him all of 10 minutes to discover the wood in the middle and he's been happily breaking off little pieces and splitting them down the center.

Our parrotlet took to it right away. She likes the crinkly papers. It's an interesting toy for her. At first she thought it was an invader but soon figured out it's fun to peck.

Haha… this one got me real good. I’m usually pretty good about reading measurements, but the picture & sale sold me too well. This thing is way too tiny to be worth the listed price of $18.70. Yes, I bought this for around $6, but it’s not even worth that. I’m only giving this 5 stars because this one got the best of me, which isn’t easy to do. Good job Amazon. THIS PRODUCT IS MAYBE WORTH $2.
