I don’t write a lot of reviews but, as a mother of two toddlers, I truly appreciate when other consumers take the time to share feedback, especially on sizing. So, I’m going to start contributing my share to help others too! These ballet shoes are great. Keep in mind the “pink” is really “ballet pink” or otherwise known as nude. My 2 year old wears a size 6 toddler shoe. She is soon approaching a 6.5 within the next month. Therefore, I ordered a 7.5 in this ballet shoe. It fits perfect! Glad I went 1.5 sizes up and not just one. Also note, when I first took the shoes out of the box, they looked so small - like little doll shoes. But, to my surprise, it was an illusion because it slipped right on and fit my daughter’s feet perfectly! Great quality. Capezio is a classic. Bottom line: you can’t go wrong by ordering 1.5 sizes up.

These shoes are super cute and very well made. I loved the leather smell right out of the box. They are more of a nude shade. I was so confused on what size to order. My daughter is 2 1/2 and in the 50th percentile for weight and height. She wear a size 7- 7.5 shoe. They were out of the 8.5 so I had to decide between the 8 or the 9 unless I wanted the 8.5 narrow or the 8.5 wide. I chose the 8 regular. When I pulled it out of the box the shoes seemed SOO TINY! I thought for sure they would never fit but to my suprise they fit perfect! I would buy again. I wouldnt say that she has a lot of room to grow into that much, but for less than $20 i dont mind. We should get maybe 6 months use out of them I'm guessing.

Cute! Due to ordering first bloch ballet shoes, I learned my lesson of ordering a wide ballet shoes for my daughter in capezio brand because even if she has a small feet it was quite tight with bloch brand. I ordered size 6.5 for my daughter that wears 5.5 and it fits her perfect theres few mm extra to grow but since its leather it will strech a little more overtime. The color is not really pink more like nude. The straps are wider than bloch and tighter. In comparison with size from two brands mentioned my daughter wears the same 6.5 size with both brands... shes 6.5 W with capezio and 6.5 C with bloch 5.5 with regular shoes

We had ordered the other big name ballet shoe in a size 9.5C just in August when my daughter wore a size 8 shoe. Well I thought I was doing good based on how the ballet shoes fit last year, but my daughter's foot grew quickly and within a month and a half they were already too small (she wears a 9 in shoes now). Needing a new pair of ballet shoes and not being close enough to run to the ballet store, I ordered this pair online (I use this brand tap shoes already). To be safe I ordered a 10.5 wide and they arrived quickly and fit as expected. I got them a little too big on purpose but when you pull the cords and tighten them up they are perfectly fine for the growing foot of a little one.

My daughter is 6, so she is less likely to comment on the pros and cons. I however, will say the previous pair I bought, held up for the entire year, until she outgrew them. Then the shoes are nice enough quality that they even stretched with her feet some, so I did not have to buy a new pair of pointe shoes, just for her recital, then have her grow through the summer again. ALSO, when I ordered the next size up from the previous pair, and apparently she had grown even more than that, when I contacted them, they refunded me, and just let me buy a new pair, I didn't need to return the too small size or wait to receive new ones till then. They were wonderful.

My daughter is very picky with clothes and shoes. She usually complains that it's uncomfortable. We tried several ballet shoes and had to return them because of this. Finally we bought this one (way cheaper here on Amazon than directly from her dance school, but same brand). She LOVES them. Wants to wear them all the time. She's usually a size 11, but I ordered 11.5 so she has some extra space for comfort, and it was perfect. It also helped when I understood that the bow in the front was not just for decoration, but it actually tightens the sides for a better fit.

Great little ballet shoes for my 3 year old. They definitely fit snugly, as ballet shoes are meant to. She wears a 9 or 9.5 street shoe, depending on the brand, and a 10 in these is perfect. The elastic thread does not stay tied very well, but that can be solved with a couple of stitches or a dab of hot glue. I am partial to leather shoes over canvas, but they are more prone to odor (especially if said 3 year old is obsessed with ballet and wears them nearly 24/7...) but a quick swish in soapy water cleaned them up nicely and they didn't shrink at all. Will buy again.

Got this for my daughter as she needed the pink (ballet pink) shoes for her ballet class this session. It worked out well because she had outgrown her last pair that were the wrong color anyway. These are a bit nicer quality than the ones I had been getting from payless. While the other shoes do the job, I believe these will hold up well to weekly dance class and be able to be passed down to her younger sister. There is elastic ties on these slippers that help with a more snug fit. I do tie them in a double knot so they don't come untied too often. And bonus! There is a nametags on the inside of the shoes so if your child has to change shoes during class (we switch to tap shoes) you can usually figure out which shoes are yours.

These ballet slippers are fabulous quality - very soft, flexible leather, and nice soles for grip. My two-year-old usually wears a US toddler size 6, but after trying two different sizes from other brands I decided to get a full size larger from this brand. These fit her perfectly, BUT they JUST fit. Any smaller, and they would be way too tight. So, maybe go a half or whole size up? Otherwise, they are beautiful; and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Accurate sizing and easy to customize as your child grows (within reason). I bought these about 5 months ago and they're great. They still look nice and the stitching is all still tight. I can tighten/loosen the elastic as my child's feet grow/swell or if she decides not to wear tights. The leather outer wipes clean with a damp cloth and so far hasn't flaked or discolored at all. The soles are holding up well with no fraying and the stitches are also still tight. Great buy and a really well made dance shoe.
