Everything I needed and nothing I don't

I just moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago and needed something to make it a little less dreary (and to get rid of the blinding lights in my room). These did the trick! I have one of these in either socket in my room each going to a string of lights. Unlike the ones I've seen in stores near me, these have only what I need -- an outlet. I've tried a few cheap feeling ones that include the ability to screw in a bulb at the same time and they just don't hold up

Great for outdoor Christmas lights

Sometimes you just need an extra plug. These worked out great for plugging outdoor Christmas lights into our porch lights so we could cut them off and on with the indoor wall switch.

Good quality that is worth the price when your needs demand it.

I purchased these for use in outdoor wall sconces that are weather protected. They fit nicely and are strong enough that I can use the inserted plug to snug them into the socket or loosen them up for removal. I am very pleased with my decision to buy this two-pack instead of the cheaper-per-unit four packs of off-brand products.

Basic stuff that works.

These are pretty basic old fashion cheaters aka light bulb socket adapters. They work as advertised ... no complaints ... even in a deeper than average socket. They might not work in some very deep sockets. As far as the complaints about them being polarized ... this is a safety feature, a good thing. There is no "safety problem" with these adapters as long as the bulb socket and the rest of the house is wired in accordance with electrical code as it should be in the first place.

Just what we needed to be able to plug the ...

Just what we needed to be able to plug the Christmas lights in. We have an old home, so no outside outlets. Just screwed these into the porch light and presto now we have and outlet on the porch. Added bonus we don't have to go outside and plug in the lights every evening. We just flip the light switch for the porch light.

They make another type that has a plug and bulb outlet if you want to keep the existing light function. These are the same price at your local big box store if you prefer to buy locally.

Christmas saved

What an absolute life saver for such a reasonable price. So there I was. In the trenches of putting up Christmas decorations. I had won the war with the Christmas tree. I had made advances to the decorations for the living room. I was In the home stretch. I just Had to finish one strand of lights outside. The excitement was overwhelming. I had The lights I had The command strips. And I had The idea. But I did Not have a power outlet.. I wept.. for what felt like hours. Years. Christmas was ruined. I had no place to plug in my Christmas lights. And then a light bulb came on. (My porch light switched on by my beautiful fiancé) all I had to do was order the GE POLARIZED HANDY OUTLET PLUG. And just like that the war was over. Christmas was saved. The tears were Dried up. Santa could see my one bed room apartment front the sky now on Christmas Eve. All thanks to this item.

Exactly what I needed to convert an old fixture into something I don't hate

These outlet plugs were perfect for converting an awkward old ceiling fixture into a set of pendant bulbs. I was going for a "vintage" look and the visible plastic these are made of matches the vintage-y plugs I found exactly. They're also very tight fitting with the plugs, so I have no worries about the one bulb hanging directly from the socket. They come two to a packet and I accidentally ordered two so I have two extra, but I'm happy to hang on to them and see where else I might put them to use.

Save time and money

I bought this outlet plug because I wanted to replace the simple light bulb I had in my garage with a stronger light that came with a power cord and did not want to pay an electrician for fixing that. This plug did the trick and was super easy to use

This thing is great.

This cool little device is great. When i am traveling to remote destination i never know if im going to have an outlet available. if they have lamps I dont need to worry about electric. Just remove the bulb (as long as you dont need the light) and put this in the place of it and viola instant access to charge phones or anything else you need.
