This is a beautiful spoon. It seems sturdy and the end portion is a good size. It is not very cupped at all. Almost flat which is a little disapppointing. It is difficult to tell this in the photos. That was my preference. It does not reflect upon the quality of the piece, however. I thinkj this will do years of great service in the soup pot. I was trying to replace my plastic stirring spoons and this looked like it might have been comparable.

Having become sick of melting plastic spoons, I decided to invest in a good stirring spoon. This olivewood shallow-bowl spoon is sturdy, has enough of a curve-out to successfully catch ingredients in the pot or pan, and just requires an occasional oiling. I like that it is one piece. For deep pots you may want to get a 14 inch stirrer, but this is fine for most uses. Hand washable only, there is a small hole for hanging. Recommended.

The quality is excellent and the spoons last forever. I am still using some olive wood utensils from 35 years ago. I wash by hand and apply olive oil or food grade mineral oil once a month. The shipping was extremely fast and I will purchase from this seller again.

I recently replaced my bamboo and other wood utensils with olive wood. I purchased the Cilio spoon in both the 10 inch and 12 inch sizes and have been happy with both.

I haven't used wooden spoons except for crafts until now. This spoon is so pretty I leave it on the counter and I love it for cooking. It doesn't scratch my pans... I wish I'd discovered olivewood spoons a long time ago.

the olivewood soup spoon is the thing to use when making good soup. my husband loves to cook and olivewood is the best.

I bought a bamboo spoon thinking it was a good one. I used it once to mix up meatloaf and it had splintered at the end. It was new when it did this. I didn't want bamboo in my meatloaf or anything else I make so I searched around and came across olive wood spoons. I got this and I've used it to mix meatloaf and a few other things and it still looks like brand new. It's a very attractive wood and also make me look like I know what I'm doing in the kitchen. I don't but looks are important... I would buy this again, but it is so strong, I doubt I ever will need to.

Item came just as pictured and even better. I was slightly concerned that the "neck" would be too thin, it is not. It is quickly becoming my favorite Olive Wood cooking spoon because it has a perfect round cut out, making it easier to move food from the corner of curved pan, and also it can move larger amount of food around than my other spoons, which have more pointed and lengthy shape. The "bowl" measures 2.5" round. Hope this is helpful.
