How am I this excited about a toilet seat?

As a young adult, it's strange for me to be excited about things like ordering new toilet seats from Amazon, gleefully retrieving the box as soon as that sweet, sweet text message arrives to let me know that my day just got better. And honey let me tell you: this purchase did not disappoint. After completely changing the way I experience life with the Luxe Neo 120 bidet (oh my sweet baby Jesus), my old toilet seat clearly more so than ever needed replacement. I didn't want to invest too much since I'm in a rental, plus my dear roommate prefers to sit sideways on the toilet, so this seat was advertised as the best option that was easy on the wallet and promised to stay absolutely in place. Our old seat had way too much space between the lip of the bowl especially after I installed the bidet, was flimsy and cheap feeling, loosened constantly no matter how tightly you adjusted it, and just overall super duper gross despite much scrubbing from years of previous tenants' use. Also, whenever someone sat down, the space between the seat and the bowl gave you an uncomfortable sinking feeling and concerns were raised that the seat would break at the pivot point at any second. And thus the Bemis came into our lives from heaven above! (Did I just say a toilet seat was from heaven? Yes. Yes I did.) What a complete bathroom-and-life-changing difference. Installation of the Bemis seat was a breeze. Fits flawlessly with the Neo 120. The seat is not cheap feeling at all and is remarkably comfortable. There's a subtle lip at the end of the seat for the boys to easily lift. No sharp edges. It's almost... heavy? In a good way. A sturdy way. Reasonably quiet, even if you accidentally table-flip that lid. No more deafening echoes! Oh, did I forget to mention how perfect this toilet seat was? Because it's so perfect. With feeling so high quality and so far no wiggles, I am beyond happy with this purchase. Honestly if I had known it was this great, I would have been willing to spend double the money for this beauty. Do yourself a favor and upgrade that toilet already and transform it into the porcelain throne your refined butt deserves.

A high end product

Positives: - Made of plastic. This seat will not stain. Wooden seats will stain. - Nice clean and modern design. Friends and family will be impressed. Host a party. - Strong enough to support the weight of a small army while in the closed position. Cons: - Does not connect to the internet. Not even a floppy drive is included. - Does not plug into a wall outlet so it is not possible to heat it prior to usage. - Sitting on this for more than a week straight will result in loss of blood circulation to the legs and the running out of things to read. Follow-up on January 22, 2016: A year and a half later the toilet seat is as good as new. I am confident that its current resale value is nearly equal to the original purchase price. I may upgrade to the more advanced model when available.

does not move!!

we had issues in the past with the seat becoming loose and this thing is a beast!! the screw/nut combo shears off when it's tight enough and we've been quite impressed. will buy again!

As crazy as this sounds......we are thrilled with our toilet seat! It was a breeze to install, it's esthetically pleasing, a great fit and is used on a toilet in our powder room that gets a ton of use and it can take the abuse. I also like the fact it doesn't make a huge slamming noise when the little ones slam it up or down. Highly recommend.

A well designed product that is built to last.

Based on the other high ratings, I ordered this seat and was not disappointed. I just wanted a solid, easy to clean seat that would not come loose. I had no interest in easy detach for cleaning or soft close gimmicks that usually come paired with flimsy construction or wood that is sanitary only as long as the paint lasts. I have seen this seat advertised elsewhere where the description states that it is a wood seat; it is definitely plastic and quite heavy. This seat is rated as "hospitality grade" so it is designed for heavy duty hotel use, but there is nothing industrial looking about it so it looks fine for home use The first thing that impressed me was the installation hardware design. The screws are molded into the plastic hinges for a clean, no place for gunk to collect, design. The screws have a little ribbed plastic compressible insert at the top that makes a snug fit in the holes on the bowl so there is no slop. The plastic nuts have a rubber like top so they don't loosen. They also have another really unique feature. They are quite long and there is a groove in them about 2/3 of the way down. You tighten them below the groove and when they are just tight enough to stay put but not tight enough to crack the bowl, the lower part breaks off. There is still plenty of nut left for easy removal it that ever becomes necessary.There is no need for additional metal or rubber washers. It is also rated as anti microbial, whatever that means, but it is a clean, solid design that is easy to keep clean.

Strong, No-wiggle mount, comfortable seat, if only it had one more feature!

This is a really well made, high quality toilet seat! It is by far the strongest, most solid mounting toilet seat of 5 different brand seats I've recently bought and tried. It turns out I made a mistake when I ordered this model because I thought I was ordering a soft-close seat but this is NOT a soft-close seat, it only has a regular hinge and the seat slams down if you accidentally release it while closing your toilet. If this had a soft/slow/quiet close feature this would be the the worlds best toilet seat but it does not so it is just a really high quality regular seat. I'm keeping it even thought it doesn't have the soft close feature I wanted because it is just so durable and comfortable. I don't like toilet seats that slip or slide when you sit on them and this one is solid, no movement once you mount this seat! It is also super easy to install. PROS: High Quality, Easy Install, Thick Strong Seat & Lid, No sideways slipping, Nice finish, Heavy Plastic easy clean. CONS: No soft/slow/quiet close feature:-(.

Super Duty, Very well made

I wish I could have found this toilet seat long ago. I have wasted so much money on other seats. Very well made, heavy duty. The installation was a breeze. We are not small people. I am 6'5 and my wife is 5'10. My sons are 6' and 6'7. These things don't budge and inch. Do yourself a favor and buy this toilet seat before you waste any more money like I did. Update: May 30, 2014 - I still stand behind my original review. This toilet seat is still rock solid and very well engineered. Performs just like the day I installed it, no staining at all. One of the best purchases I have ever made. March 11, 2015 - Still going strong and still rock solid. January 01, 2017- Still rock solid. I have not had to readjust or tighten the seat since installation. It can be cleaned easily.

Sturdy plastic non-nonsense seat

I bought one and tried it in one of the bathrooms. Prefect fit and plastic was of excellent quality both for usage ( contoured and comfortable) and aesthetics. I replaced the existing wooden ones out that featured removable seat etc. So bye bye to ugly stains. This seat has a large empty area at the hinge and makes it easy to clean. Knowing most soft close eventually have issues, I bought this one for its sturdy build. The lid is a perfect fit too. Statite screws are excellent and don't let the seat move even a bit. I bought 2 more for my other bathrooms. Will update my review 3 months later on how it holds up! Definitely recommend

Great replacement

Great Toilet seat replacement for Kohler. I replaced my 19 year-old wooden, orig. Kohler seat that was staining and broke on the cover hinge. I did a lot of research as I typically do. First, I had no clue the're are Sooo many choices, brands, plastic, wooden, cost etc. I initially thought, get the direct replacement then I thought, get something improved/better without spending a fortune for a toilet seat. After reading through many of the reviews on this brand/model, countless measurements, going through the install reviews to build confidence I can install it and feeling comfortable replacing a wooden seat with a plastic, I took the leap of faith and bought one. Good choice, good purchase. It came well packaged. The plastic construction is quality and great replacement (sure it will resist staining more than the wooden ones) and install was so simple. Literally look me 8 minutes that included pre-cleaning the toilet then installing the new seat. I couldn't be more satisfied. 2 weeks later, I purchased a second one to replace the seat in my kid's bathroom. I would recommend Bemis seats to anyone looking to replace that old, stained seat.
