Good filter, original product

I read a few of the other reviews, stating that the filter they received was not original and looked as it had been tempered with. After arrival of the filter, I thoroughly inspected the filter as well as the packaging. Everything seemed to be in fine order. The filter is installed and performs as expected. Good product, good water.

Wait a week if water comes out cloudy

Revised review: I was going to return this because of the cloudiness of the water even after one day of continuous flushing of the water. However, I could not take the filter out due to the ice dispenser requiring the filter. So I ordered another filter directly from Frigidaire.com. While we waited for the other filter, we continued to use the ice machine and also the water dispenser. I did not drink the water, but maybe some other people in the house did. After one week, the water is clear! And tastes pretty good. The water filter from Frigidaire.com arrived in a week, but the box looks exactly the same as the one from Amazon. So I am keeping both and will use the new filter in a few months when the other needs to replaced. See photos for photos of filters from amazon and Frigidaire.com. They are identical as far as I can see.

Replacement fliter works great

The first filter I ordered was faulty my water wouldn't run off the fridge. I had to call a technician out to check out my fridge and they told me its the filter. I returned it and received a new filter right away, problem solved. The price is great I saved lots of money ordering from here. Its works great and water tastes awesome.

Just what I needed.

Its a water filter for your fridge. I am giving it 5 stars because it was 1. In stock! Yay. Tired of going to the hardware store and its never in stock. 2. It was cheaper that the hardware store. Saving money is good. 3. Shipping, it took two days, about the time it takes me to think about getting out to the hardware store to see if they have it. 4. Water taste good. I had that hiss when I pulled off the plastic tops.. No complaints.

you get what you pay for

I tried to cheap out one time and was totally dissatisfied with the "compatible" cheaper replacement. Since you're trying to make sure the water you're drinking is as clean/pure as possible then why cheap out on a cheaper filter. You get what to pay for so do yourself a favor and get the original filter even if it cost a few dollars more.

Perfect

I had to run a bit more water through than it said to clear the cloudiness but that wasn’t a big deal. Water tastes good and flow is great. I had no idea how much our water flow had slowed until I put in the new filter. I guess we were way overdue. I will go ahead and buy another to keep on hand.

These Filters ARE EXPENSIVE!!! So when I found out that Amazon had them and at A GREAT PRICE IT WAS A NO BRAINER. So this is the ONLY Place that I will purchase This Filter, and the COOL THING IS ALL I HAVE TO DO IS TELL Alexa to order IT!!! NOW THAT'S SERVICE AT IT'S FINEST. I looked at other reviews and they complain about the water filter!!! IT'S NOT THE FILTER!!! IT'S FROM YOUR CITY WATER!!! COME ON, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE FILTER.

A High Quality Filter at a Great Price

I searched for a replacement water filter for my Frigidaire refrigerator, and there were several aftermarket filters that came up on Amazon for about half of the cost of this filter. Buyer Beware, those other filters are basically just a gross particulate charcoal filter, which is the equivalent of a Britta filter. The charcoal simply removes the chlorine taste from tap water, so the user is fooled into thinking that the filter is doing a great job of filtering contaminants. The Frigidaire Ultra filter is designed to take out so much more, read product details for specifics. I am giving this five stars especially because the discounted price of the filter. On the Frigidaire website, this filter costs $45.95, although if you subscribe to have a new filter sent every 6 months, you can save an additional 15%.

So affordable you can buy two!

This is a great water filter! We are able to save a ton of money buy using this filter over the super expensive ones from the local stores. The filter was easy to install and we’ve been unable to detect any leaks. The filtered water tastes great and the ice is nice and clean. NO weird smells or tastes. If you are looking for a quality filter at an affordable price this is the right filter for you, no longer will you have to use an old out of date water filter because it is simply too expensive to replace. Now you can always have health pure clean water.

Fits perfectly, just like the manufacturer said it would.

Purchased this filter in March of 2016. This filter is longer than the original filter that came in my new fridge and it does not have a tab that runs along the side of the original filter. However, it fits and works perfectly. When I first put the filter in it would not fit, but then I noticed that there are two plastic covers over the two small columns that sit on the top of the filter. These covers are for protection only and should be removed before trying to insert the filter. Once I removed these covers the filter fit perfectly and worked great. The water is clear, AFTER I RAN IT FOR THE SPECIFIED TIME, and it tastes great.
