Initially not cold enough, but as others said it can be adjusted
I read the reviews that this doesn't get cold enough, but bought anyway after reading that the thermostat could be adjusted. I tried it overnight without making any changes and it was too warm. My first adjustment was to turn the screw all the way in, and that resulted in the fridge getting even warmer! (Guess I should have noticed when the unit turned off as soon as I adjusted the screw.) Then I reversed the screw and went out for lunch, when I got back it was reading 30 degrees, so over shot a bit. I still don't have it dialed it, but I'm confident that it is going to work fine. For anyone that wants to adjust theirs, pull the knob off and remove the 4 screws, then the cover will come off. The adjusting screw is on the side, next the the ground wire.

Good build quality and nice loooking mini fridge
Good build quality and nice loooking mini fridge , the blue LED lighting and the lock are nice features . The unit didn't get as cold as I had wanted initially so I removed the thermostat and recalibrated it with a clockwise turn of the small coarse adjustment screw ( do at your own risk ) I got the interior temp down from mid 40f to 35f

I keep mine pretty stocked up but I do not over load it
I always read reviews before I purchase anything. I was really on the fence with this one because some people say that it doesn't get cold enough. I keep mine pretty stocked up but I do not over load it. It is perfect. I keep beer and sodas in it and everything is very cold. My suggestion......do not over load the fridge and you will be very happy. It is very nice to look at. I love the blue LED light inside. It is very quiet. I am thinking of buying a second one.

Great option for aging, cooling craft beers
The main complaint I read before buying this cooler is that it didn't keep beer "ice cold." I would have to agree with this, but that wasn't my original intent for buying this model. I work in the craft beer industry and the amount of sample beers and beers I've acquired that don't need to necessarily be drank right away were taking up way too much room in our main fridge. This little cooler is perfect for keeping those beers cool and in one small space. I use three rows to lay down 12 oz bottles and stack up cans and use the bottom level for keeping bombers and large format bottles. I currently can fit roughly 40 cans/bottles at once. The LED light option and lock & key option are nice, but not needed for our purposes. We plan on putting cabinetry around it and making it the centerpiece of a small bar in our basement.

Very Good For Use As A Beer Cellar
I began researching a variety of cooling devices to store my ever-growing collection of beers and was frustrated by the dearth of information readily available for such storage. Dedicated beer refrigerators/coolers were far more expensive than their wine cooling counterparts and, given that I was looking to keep the cost relatively low, I was unwilling to shell out more than $300 for one. After seeing the wide variety of thermoelectric coolers available, I was initially reticent to purchase a refrigerator because it seemed like there was a steep price differential between the two. The more I considered proper beer storage and read about the aforementioned coolers though the less comfortable I was with using them. Ultimately, I came across the Danby DBC120BLS Beverage Center and liked what I saw in terms of the price, the reviews, and the product itself. I liked also that at least a few people were using it to store beer and so I made my purchase. I wound up setting it up last night and discovered a few things that I thought would be of interest to anyone else in search of something to use as a beer cellar. BEST ASPECTS OF USING THE DANBY BEVERAGE CENTER FOR BEER CELLARING 1. The adjustable temperature range covers a wide assortment of beers. Usually the target temperature for aging beer is between 50-55 degrees Fahrenheit. Many of the thermoelectric coolers feature extremely narrow ranges with the LOWER end being closer to the low 50s (which means that it would have to work essentially at max capacity at all times just to maintain the temperature). Plus, if there are any temperature fluctuations, say, of five degrees or more, you could wind up impacting the long term quality of your beers. The 43-57 degree range of the Danby is great because it affords more leeway, particularly if you live in an area that gets particularly warm in the summer thereby creating a substantial temperature differential between the interior and exterior of the refrigerator. 2. At the $200 price point, you'll be hard-pressed to find better capacity. By comparison, most of the wine cellars available at and around $200 hold less than 20 bottles and, in most cases, 18 or fewer. Depending upon what you are aging beer-wise, you will easily store double that amount or better with the Danby. 3. The removable shelves provide flexible storage layouts. Again, depending upon what you're looking to age, you will have a variety of options in terms of how to store your stash. The single most limiting aspect though is the type(s) of bottles that you're looking to age. When it comes to cellaring beer, the common best-practice is to store it upright, especially if the beer is corked. The problem with this is the fact that most corked bottles tend to be of the larger variety (750ml) and thus take up much more space than their twelve ounce counterparts. The existence of multiple shelf grooves will allow you to make the most of the space available but only to a certain degree. One of the photos for this unit had a comment that the user was able to get 49 twelve ounce bottles and 4 bombers for a total of 53 bottles. None of the bottles appeared to be corked and a few were being stored sideways--something to consider, again, if you have a variety of beer bottle types. As for my current setup, I have the top-most shelf in along with a single shelf towards the bottom dividing the interior into three zones. At the bottom I currently have 8 large bottles including three corked 750mls, 1 uncorked 750, and four bomber sized bottles along with 6 smaller bottles, two of which are corked. Now, you won't be able to take advantage of the full space on the lowest level because there is a small portion that juts out to allow water to drain towards the compressor during the automatic defrosting cycle. Having the corked bottles standing on a wire shelf ABOVE this point should allow you to get more in...but the thought of overloading the shelf and losing bottles of Black Tuesday and the Firestone barrel aged series made me anxious. Instead, I opted for the security of the ground level at the expense of housing a few more bottles (which, at present, I don't have). On the middle shelf I have 29 bottles approximately half of which are the standard slender 12 oz and half are the stubbier, slightly fatter bottles; these are all vertical as well. Lastly, I have six bottles stored on their side in two pyramids on the special top shelf. You lose a little bit of space at the very top so that you can keep the fan clear (the shelf is designed specifically for this purpose) so you can't make use of the ENTIRE interior. In total though, with nearly a dozen very big bottles, I was able to get a total of 49 bottles into the unit. They are perfectly chilled at the moment and, with any luck, they will remain that way for a long time to come. The bottom line: if you're looking to cellar beers then this is the ideal unit with which to do so!

Looks Great and Runs Colder Now
Ok, So I purchased the Danby Beverage Center during a Lightning deal on prime day. I figured $152 was a good price and could use some extra room in the refrigerator. I liked the look of the design and the way the blue Led lights illuminated the unit. I received the first unit damaged on the side corner. It was all dented in, packaging was good must of happened during it's time with UPS. Anyhow I called amazon and a new one was delivered three days later. Fast Forward, three days later I open my second Danby, this one looks great! I had to adjust the door just a little bit to line it up better. Now I got it plugged in a running. Let it run for about an hour and put in around 35 cans and some water. Coldest it would get was 45.x degrees. I knew this wasn't cold enough for my beer and other beverages so I made the adjustment. I see everyone saying it doesn't get cold enough but the specs state it goes to 43 which I still wanted colder than that. I took off the four screws and adjusted the thermostat. I had to turn mine clockwise for some reason as turning it counter clockwise made it shoot up to 48 degrees as its coldest setting. I was able to get the unit to hit 32.5 on a digital refrigerator thermometer. It was still running at the time and I'm sure it would have gone even lower. I keep adjusting the screw and settled with three full clockwise turns from where the screw was originally. So now the cooler kicks on around 42 degrees and cools to 36-38 which seems perfect to me. It doesn't have to run very long to get it colder and will stay off for a while before it has to kick on again. All in all i like the beverage cooler for the price I picked it up at. Was able to get it 8 - 10 degrees colder over the stock setting. It runs quiet and gets warm on the sides of unit but not hot to the touch. I think this is a great looking piece to my condo i'm remodeling.

Man cave fridge
After reading some reviews about this mini fridge I was a little skeptical about it, but decided to go for it and I am very pleased and happy with my purchase. This was a birthday gift for my boyfriend for his man cave and it couldn't be more perfect! We have only had the fridge for a week but so far so good. No damages to the fridge from shipping, works well and keeps beverages nice and cold. There's a knob on the backside of the fridge so you can adjust temperature. The shelves inside are also adjustable so you can stand your beer bottles up. It's pretty spacious but have yet to fill it up completely so I can't say how many bottles fit inside. The blue light gives the fridge that little something extra and is asthetically pleasing to the eye. There is a switch inside the fridge to turn off the light if you want to. I read several reviews on the sound the fridge makes and for the most part its pretty quiet. Once in a while it makes the standard fridge hum but not loud enough to notice (White noise.) The door unfortunately doesn't open and close well on top of carpet so our solution was to put small tiles on the carpet under the little legs of the fridge and now open and closes easy without scraping the carpet. Overall I think the fridge looks great, works great so far and I'm very happy with it!

Great product! Easily adjustable to lower Temp range
There are mixed reviews on this product and wanted to highlight my experience and where the issues might be. This refrigerator is calibrated to cool at around 47 degrees on max. That is in the product description. However, if you do what other reviewers have done(myself included) and remove the 4 screws behind the temp controller and loosen the tiny screw on the side of the unit(turn counterclockwise) you can reach temps at or below freezing(too cold there). Once you've made the adjustment to the screw you can use the temperature knob to dial it back to a more preferable temp(I have mine dialed in at around 38 degrees.) Some have mentioned missing or broken parts. Unfortunately that's a risk you take when ordering a large heavy item that goes through a distribution chain. I found the packaging to be very good. Will see how long term reliability is, but very happy with the product. Pros: style, capacity, blue LED light, price Cons: having to tweak temp controls, light is controlled with switch inside unit(not designed to come on and off while opening fridge) Highly recommend!

VERY IMPRESSED
Very pleased with this mini-refrigerator. It is one of the best priced ones on the market. I was somewhat skeptical when I ordered because many people complained about the frig not getting cold enough and i was also concerned about the LED lights on the inside. Some of the pictures on Amazon show an out-dated regular light-bulb style light on the inside that appears to be white, but some of the pictures show a blue LED light, which is what i wanted! I was pleased to find when I unwrapped the package that this frig does have a blue LED strip light along the top of the frig that does light up the whole frig and lights up most of my kitchen at night! Another thing that surprised me was the glass door has some kind of etching that is not really noticeable unless you look close but it does make the frig look very modern and expensive. The other big issue i saw in reviews was the frig not getting cold enough. I do not have a digital thermometer to put inside to gauge the exact temperature, but this frig does keep cans and bottles cold enough for my liking. My full-size refrigerator is set to 33 degrees and I can tell the soda from this Danby frig are not as cold as that, but there very close and the main thing is, I don't have to use up a ton of space in my main frig now for soda. Pros: - Very sleek look and looks much more expensive than it actually is - Great blue LED lights - Stainless steel looks very high end and glass door is very aesthetic as well - Frig keeps drinks cold Cons: - NONE yet

Small Modifications Make it Great
After reading several reviews, I bought this fridge (along with about $200 worth of beer) for my husband's Christmas present. I wanted a fridge with transparent door (so that we could see when we are running low) and something that could hold a good amount of beverages (so that we don't have to use our main fridge for storage). This fridge works great for our needs. It took us some time to figure out the shelves, but eventually we found a method we like. The bottom/first row is not a shelf, but there is a half shelf that goes right above it. This area is great for storing taller cans like the Red Bull shown in the picture or in our case, Bud Light Lime cans (which are now tall and skinny) and some craft beer that came in a four pack with taller cans. We arranged the top shelf to be just tall enough to stand cans up. The other two shelves we arranged to allow for one shelf of bottles and one more shelf for cans. We had one shelf that was not used in our setup. Our setup can hold 30 bottles (but more like 25 comfortably) on the bottle shelf, 15 cans on the top shelf, 30 cans (but more like 25 comfortably) on the other can shelf, and on the bottom shelf, since it is about half-size, can fit about 18 Bud Light Lime cans total. I learned some things I didn't know as we tried to set up and install the product. By standard, the door will open on the left, but you can modify it to open on the right. It looked like too much work for us (okay, we're just lazy) so we kept it opening left. Also, the light at the top of the fridge will turn on when you open the door only by default, but there is a toggle button on the left side that will keep the light on all the time if you prefer the "lit" look. Per some of the other very helpful reviews and customer photos on Amazon I did purchase a couple of add-on products for about $30 total: --> This end table, so that my tall husband didn't have to squat all the way to the floor for something on the bottom shelf: DHP Parsons Modern End Table, Black Wood Grain --> These flexible chopping mats so that the cans & bottles don't "tip" on the grill. This mat fix perfectly on the shelf with no cutting required. You need to place the mat shiny side down and matte side up so that cans and bottles will slide on it. We only had to make one modification to the mat for the first shelf, which is kind of a half-shelf, where the width of the mat was slightly smaller and we had to cut a notch for the mat to fit on the shelf.Flexible Chopping Mats 4 Pack. --> This string of LED lights for which we attached to the inside of the door via scotch tape (we'll see how long that lasts). The battery pack in this product happens to fit perfectly in a unusable notch area on the bottom/second shelving area, if the door opens on the left (since that is where the notch in the shelf is) Rtgs Micro LED 20 Super Bright Cold White Color Lights Battery Operated on 7.5 Ft Long Silver Color Ultra Thin String Wire [NEWEST VERSION] + 100% RTGS Products Satisfaction Guarantee So ultimately, it would be fantastic if this fridge utilized glass shelves or smaller grates, and had LED door lighting, but the mods were cheap and easy enough to do on our own. I have posted some photos to show you our shelving set up and a comparison of the LED string lights to the interior light. My only other note is that from back to front this fridge fits exactly five (5) bottles or cans. So, like most people, if you're buying beverages in multiples of six, this can be a little frustrating if your'e going for an organized, store-front look. This problem is easily solved by drinking one of those beverages as you put it into the fridge.
