Great slides. We have used them to look at all kinds of things. Our kids like to collect things from the yard and the pond then look at them under the microscope. We usually just rinse them and reuse but sometimes the sample is just gross so we toss them. For the price they are a great value and we don't mind throwing some out. One fun thing you can do is to take a photo through the microscope with your cell phone. Line up your cell camera and tilt it just right until you see though the lens, then hold your hand around it to darken out everything else. If you line it up just right you will be able to take a photo of your sample. Kind of fun, especially for the kids.

These slides were perfect for my microbiology lab class. They arrived bubbled wrapped and taped inside of the another box. Each slide is separated by a thin lens paper. Cover slips are in a separate box that is wrapped but I will not be using those so I will not unwrap it from its plastic. I believe there are 100 of the cover slips, just incase. The quality of the slides are great. They aren't the really thin ones that I have had to work with before. I have actually dropped the slide (accidently) and it didn't even break. You will not go wrong buying these slides. They also come in a very sturdy box. I went to check the price of microscope slides in my community college's bookstore and was so glad I ordered them from Amazon. They were an extra 4 dollars at the bookstore and it was only for a pack of 12!! So thank you Amazon!!! Hope this helps!!!

Excellent slides. I bought these to make homemade slide with my 5 year old daughter. They come packaged nicely, with slide paper separating each slide to prevent scratching and damage. They are well made, thick, and have excellent clarity. There really isn't a lot more to say about microscope slides... The set comes with cover slips, which are a perfect match. Not a bad deal for this many slides... Would buy again.

This is an incredibly great value for the price. The 72 glass slides come in a cardboard box each slide sandwiched with small pieces of paper to reduce scratching. The 100 cover glasses come in a small plastic box and are warped as a stack in a small piece of paper. The only issue I had was with the small plastic box with the cover glass, it was wrapped in tape that left sticky adhesive on the box which was rather annoying with everything trying to stick to the outside of the box. Overall I am extremely pleased and look forward to figuring out what to do with 72 slides.

The clarity of these slides were great. The slides and slips arrived on time, and in one piece. The slides come in a box wrapped with tissue paper, and a piece of tissue between each slide so they don't scratch like others have said. The slips come in a small plastic box with removable top, and they're also wrapped in tissue. Having said that, the slips do have very very slight imperfections you can't notice if you're focused correctly on the slide and not the top of the slip. Affordable and well made set!

So cool! Makes my kids feel like real scientists. I just recently bought my daughter a microscope for her birthday. I got her pipettes to go with the slides and we like to go down to the pond next to our house and collect water from it. Then we put a drop of water onto a slide, put the cover sheet over it and look to see what's in it under the microscope. It's amazing all the cool stuff you can see floating/swimming around! My kids have had a blast.

they came with the 1 inch cover glass, i use these in miniature showcases for my mini rooms and they are well made, sturdy and perfect for what intended will buy again and will be looking for same brand other sizes

Bought these to go with my sons microscope that we bought him for Christmas. Was expecting to get something like you would get in one of those science kits...not the case. These slides are the real deal. I didn't realize they would be laboratory grade but they are. They even come sealed in some high tech looking space foil. My son loved them. They made him feel like he was an official mad scientist. Great, great quality. If your buying for a child with a science obsession these could be a little much. If your an adult looking for something to use on an official level, these would work. Same things that were in the labs at the college I attended.

Used these for a microbiology class & they did the job. They arrived in great condition, none broken. Some looked like they had dust or some kind of residue that could be wiped off, but I washed all of mine with soap & water before using & had no issues.

These are some quality microscope slides. I expected sharp edges all over since they were so inexpensive, instead both the slides and covers have bevels on all corners. Very slim chance of ever getting cut on these slides unless they get broken.
