Some have complained about the thickness of the product, but if it was as thin as the base/top etc. coat, I believe it wouldn't be a builder gel. Just get some very good brushes and practice. The thickness is what finally ensures I never have to go back to have my nails done again. I can do them myself now. When you go to the salon to get "gel" nails they have to put a gel "powder" on top for strength. I could never master that technique on myself and I've tried for years. Then builder gels came onto the market and it's eliminated my need to go into the salon altogether. I put the base coat on, use builder gel, apply a color (if I choose) and then top coat. I NEVER break a nail anymore. Previously, no matter how many layers of gel I put on - without the builder gel, my nails would break. Now my nails are as strong as if I've been to professional nail salon. I love the thickness of the builder gel as I see that as the strengthening layer. It is self settling and seems as if it is too thick to work with at first, but if you have to - apply to one nail at a time, cure under the light and then go on to the next nail until you get the hang of it. This color is beautiful too. Very sheer, very natural looking when I do French tips. Note in the photo I have this builder gel on my nails, however the color I am using on top of the builder is a color-change glitter nail color (when nails are warm color fades, cold -- color darkens) so the sheer results of the builder gel isn't depicted in the photos. I am just showing results of how, with practice, you can get a smooth result with the builder. I'm no pro - but it's good enough for me.

Love this stuff. It keeps my nails super hard. It cures quickly and in my opinion is much easier to use than acrylic since it doesn't set until you use an led or uv lamp. No offensive odor to it either, unlike acrylic. It's the consistency of corn syrup, maybe a bit thicker. I easily get a month's worth of wear out of this, but usually do a fill in long before they grow out that long. I've done multiple sets already and still have quite a bit left. I definitely recommend this product. The attached photo are my natural nails with the gel builder applied and then painted.

On bottle it says to use uv light and cure for 3 mins. 100% buying it again! My nails haven't broke yet worth the price. Ignore all the 1 starts they don't know what they are doing! The tip builder stickers are good with it too

I've never used builder gels before yet this was very easy too use and in my opinion easier than acrylic. I'd recommend the Mia secret no acid bonder to avoid lifting! This also works with led lamps lower than 36 watts (I used a 9 watt led lamp). Yet overall this was a great product and due to the size of the jar it will last for quite a long time.

I LOVE this stuff. I do my own nails at home and I use this to make my nails longer and stronger. There is quite a learning curve to using it, but it's worth it. I glue on fake tips and then fill over the top of them, instead of using nail forms and sculpting a nail. It's much easier and quicker for me. I would say invest in a decent uv or uv/led lamp, because the cheapos will make your drying time take forever. Also keep it OFF your fingers and cuticles or it will come right off. Prep with dehydrate/ph primer and then bonder. When done properly this stuff lasts me until my nails have grown out too much for it to look nice. I do wish that I had bought the pink version instead of clear as it would be easier to see mistakes. I will be buying the pink version once I run out, but this stuff lasts forever since you only need the tiniest amount.

This product is the best. I was tired of paying the salon $75 a trip to get my nails done. First, you need the dehydrant and bonder for this product to work at it's best. I have a UV lamp and I let my nails cure for 4 minutes each hand. It will be a little sticky, but you have to use alcohol on a cotton ball to remove the sticky residue just like in the salon. I would suggest applying a thin layer of gel to nail (after applying dehydratant and bonder) let it cure then go back an do the build. Oh and 2 oz is more than enough it should last at least 6 months if used properly. 😊

I have a brand new UV / LED lamp. It took over 10 minutes to get the gel to cure. I read a question in the ratings after, that stated, the builder gel that doesn't say UV/LED on the bottle cures at a lower level than my UV/LED lamp runs at. (my lamp says this....Advanced 365+405nm Double Light Source Technology. This gel cures at 350, just under the spectrum of what UV is needed.) If you have a LED light, make sure the bottle says UV /LED builder gel on the bottle before you buy it or verify your lamp cures at the 350 level. I, unfortunately have to return this one and buy the LED version so I can cure in 30 seconds vs 10 minutes. Don't make the same mistake I did. Otherwise, this gel is awesome. I am excited to get the UV/LED version!!

I save $110 every month doing my own nails now. After the first try I was able to perfect the application especially since it self levels. As long as you prep your nails correctly it doesn’t lift at all. I use a synthetic concealer brush made by ELF cosmetics to apply. Will repurchase for sure. Picture is of my natural nails with the gel and clear gel top coat for shine. ETA: pink almond nails are today 3/22/20. This product is still going strong for me although I’m down to 1/4 of the jar. Always getting asked about my nails :) ETA: lavender ballerinas done 4/2, neon yellow done 4/22 & orange short round done 5/6!! I LOVEEE this stuff!

I haven't had my nails done in a long time because where I live to get a set of gel nails is $75 and up. Recently a friend offered to pay so I could have my nails done and I told them "I'd rather buy everything and try to do it myself" so they gave me the money as a gift. I bought everything I needed and did them using this gel, after watching a few YouTube videos, it was easy as could be. One or two nails have a lump here or there but that comes with learning to use the gel and how to file it smooth. I didn't even file the top after. This is a great product and I will not be returning to my nail tech, I have saved so much money, not to mention this pot of gel will last me probably a year!

Bought this as an emergency because i wasn’t able to get my go-to gel online in time and i could get this shipped prime in only 2 days. really happy with the strength, curing speed, and how fast you can file it. i wish the formula was a little thinner, but that’s only because i’m used to working with thinner gels, and i’m sure i’ll get used to the viscosity. i’m also glad this was only $20, because a quarter of this size pot (0.5oz vs. 2oz) goes for $17 at sally’s, so this is very cost effective. i’m very pleased!
