I have pretty severe dust mite allergies

I have pretty severe dust mite allergies. This cover has been on my duvet for about 8 months and it has definitely been helping! As the spring has started to hit us full force here, I have had to start taking allergy medicine on occasion but it's nothing like it was this time last year. Last spring/summer, I had a series of allergic reactions (awful rashes on my lips) that several doctors could not figure out until my current allergist told me to get dust mite covers for my bedding. I have this duvet as well as some pillow case covers and it all has seriously helped! I still need to buy a mattress cover but I'm holding off until I move... Anyway, I've had no issues with it being too warm or making odd sounds/rustling/etc, honestly I barely notice it's there. I do use a duvet cover over it and sometimes the duvet will bunch/slide toward the bottom, more than it did without this dust mite cover, but a good shaking out helps correct that pretty quickly. I have not yet tried to wash it - I know, I need to - but I haven't felt the need to. Perhaps I will take some time to wash it next month and try to report back! At the end of the day, I recommend this to anyone that has dust mite allergies and uses a duvet. It's not incredibly cheap, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the dermatologists and allergists I had to go to... If you're suffering, buy this and some pillow case covers, hopefully it will help you too! :)

After using it for a momth-

Love it, love it, love it. I’ve been suffering from dust mite allergy for years, I’ve tried taking my meds, cleaning my house and beddings like crazy, but none of the above worked. This product, along with the anti-mites mattress encaement and pillow covers that I bought altogether, made my symptoms (e.g. skin rash and severe itchness like dermatitis) go away right after the first night use. It was amazing, I slept like a baby. I also loved the lovely smell of it when I opened the package, I like the texture and the weight too. I’m using a very lightweight duvet so the weight is still nice even with the cover on. I also use a clean bedsheet under my duvet so I can wash the bedsheet instead of the duvet cover when I need to. This duvet cover is easy to wash and dries very quickly, it answered to my prayers as an allergy sufferer. Thank you so much for producing such a nice product, I’d definitely get another one soon.

A Must Have for Duvets! ** Update: Second one I bought was NOT WHITE :( **

**Update: I bought another one because I loved the first one so much I bought another one for another duvet. But the second one WAS NOT WHITE. The second one I ordered was this "natural" color", not crisp white like the first one. So if you are wanting the crisp white duvet cover make sure you double check it before laundering it.** I have two dogs that sleep with me and wanted a cover for protection for my duvet. This is not waterproof but it's a fabulous duvet cover and has that crisp expensive hotel duvet cover crispness to it. I put a decorative duvet over it, but it's truly nice enough to be used all by itself. I love it and I'm so glad I found this one on Amazon. Now I read reviews that it was a bit too long/big, but the I ordered the King Jumbo and it fit my duvet perfectly (just check the measurements of your duvet before ordering). Also as I read in reviews it does not have strings on the outside to attach a decorative duvet. That's kind of a bummer, but this duvet cover it so nice I was going to make it work. So I just tied the decorative duvet strings around the corners of the cover in a bow - works perfectly - just make sure you tie them on tight (and in a bow, not a knot). If the zipper was a bit more substantial this could be a much more expensive cover. The fabric is great and again, I'm so glad I found this in the long list of covers Amazon offers.

Multi purpose dust mite control.

I liked my first one so much, I bought another to use as a cover for my memory foam mattress topper. The twin comforter cover fits a queen mattress topper perfectly. It's smooth enough to let me use a duvet cover as a "fitted sheet" on the topper. It makes a very tailored look on the bed. These definitely keep the dust from flying. I haven't washed it yet, so I can't comment on how easy to clean they are.

Blocks Out EVERYTHING

I am thrilled with this cover as I needed to replace my 12-year-old cover (very expensive when I purchased it from an allergy specialty store). I tried washing this new one and forgot to unzip it; couldn't get it to submerge. Finally, after running the washer 3 full cycles and fruitless attempts to push it down, realized I needed to unzip it. This sold me as I want to block out dust mites. The light-weightness of the cover is a huge factor as well in my selection, and the price, too. There is a tiny bit of noise and it comes out wrinkled from the dryer, even though I dried it on low, and shook it out multiple times while drying. (My old one is silent, soft, and although cotton, wrinkle-free)...but for the 5-star price, the light-weightness, and that it blocks dust mites, I am exceedingly pleased. Have slept with it two nights, and sleep like a baby! Gives quality sleep. Best sleep I've had this entire year.

Love this for allergies. Huge improvement!

I cant speak the the bed bug proofness, as that isnt the reason for purchase. My husband and I both have terrible allergies and despite frequent washing would wake up sneezing from dust or other allergens in our comforter. This has made a world of difference I just wish it had loops on the outside for a duvet cover. I used ponytail holders at the corners to tie my cover on. Doesn't add too much weight or warmth to the comforter and it is smooth and comfy against the skin like good sheets.

Amazing!

I don’t normally write reviews but this brand/ product is incredible! My child has allergy induced asthma, he would forcefully cough all night long, for weeks at a time- waking up in pain from coughing so hard. I also bought the allersoft Pillowcase covers. He hasn’t coughed a single night since we started using these products. They are much softer than I was expecting and they old up amazingly in the wash! Thank you for creating a product that has helped make my boy feel so much better!!

Wonderful Product!

We decided to switch to a duvet and what an unexpected challenge it has been! The Allersoft product was the ONLY perfect product we have found. It includes interior ties to hold the comforter in place, it zips closed so the comforter doesn't come out, it is light weight and soft. I did have to alter it with single seam on one side opposite the zipper since the comforter was smaller - but given our experience with duvet covers, that is a small one time adjustment. I have been so disappointed with other duvet covers that I ordered a second Allersoft to be the exterior cover. I will just wash it gently. I highly recommend this product for anyone who desires either allergy protection or just a well made light-weight duvet cover.

Perfect!

Purchased this to cover a down feather comforter that almost ended up in the trash. I love down comforters, but the feathers...oh, the feathers. After struggling to keep it under control for several months, I started to consider a synthetic filled comforter in place of the down. Then, I saw this cover and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Not a single feather has escaped since using this! Highly recommend for anyone struggling with the same problem!

Pleased with our purchase

Wasn't sure what to expect regarding this product. It turned out to be what we were looking for - a cover for our goose down comforter. The cover has a silky tight weave which should protect the comforter from getting soiled and needing another $35.00 dry cleaning. Our comforter is a King and the cover (King) has plenty of room to accommodate it. We have not washed the cover as yet and can't comment on any possible shrinkage. The zipper goes across the whole length of the cover at the bottom and appears to be high quality.
