Plastic better than wood
Okay here we go. Confession time. Over the years I've purchased many toilet seats. Why, you ask? Because I like new clean ones and I've been buying wooden ones thinking that was better. WRONG. Plastic is definitely better. MUCH easier to keep clean. Doesn't chip and look gross. And this particular brand makes it MUCH easier to get to that ZONE of horror where the seat bolts onto the bowl - you know the one. Well now you don't have to reach underneath (into unknown territory and spidery crannies) to unscrew those long plastic bolts. You just turn the two attachment things on the TOP a half turn and the entire seat comes off. Then it's zip zip zip with some cleaner, plop the seat back on, half turn to the left, and voila. Peace of mind.

Trust Miss Picky Butt Seat - this is WAY BETTER than I thought it was going to be! No crap seat for your crapper.
I was in desperate need of a new toilet seat and shopped for 2 months trying to figure out what to buy so I wouldn't waste my money on crap. Again. (Dear goodness, the toilet seat market is in desperate need of something - anything - resembling durable, long-lasting quality.) Finally my old wood seat was spewing sawdust every time I closed the lid and it had to go. I crossed my fingers and ordered this one because Bemis is the last manufacturer making any kind of quality plastic seat. I know that because I was checking out the brand names on commercial toilet seats that were holding up well at the places where I was locally shopping! I figured it could be returned if it showed up all flimsy and cheap. It is a sturdy toilet seat. It fit my standard round toilet perfectly. I'd read numerous reviews of people complaining about going from a wood seat to a thin plastic seat and I was worried. Let me tell you, it is AWESOME. First, the seat does feel different at first but man, oh man, you cannot beat the feeling of actually getting your seat clean without taking off half the paint. I use natural cleaners (essential oils, water, rubbing alcohol, etc) which pretty much strip the tissue-thin white paint off a wood seat within the first month. I was soooooo fed up with wiping up wet saw dust from my crumbling wood toilet seat made of MDF. wood glue and prayers. This one is a million times better looking and easier to clean. And I don't even take it off it's hinges. M husband installed this for us and said it was so easy and he liked it so much that he wants our master bathroom toilet seat replaced as soon as the elongated seat is back in stock. Look, I'm picky. I want my home to look nice, sparkling clean and well-kept. I can honestly say that this seat is working out better than I thought it would. I've had it for over a month and I'm pleased with it. I know toilet seats don't last forever but the first plastic set lasted about five years and the wood set was maybe 2 years. I'm never going back to wood!

Great for my needs but it isn't going to last forever, okay?
I'm very happy I bought this toilet seat. We are renters and the old wooden seat was in bad shape when we moved in, and my little boy's aim is not very good, plus he would drop the seat with a loud BOOM and I was afraid he would eventually break the toilet! (It was a very heavy seat!) I was having an awfully hard time cleaning the seat as well. This is perfect! Lightweight plastic and SUPER easy to install. Cleaning has been a breeze and I notice that the odor that seemed to linger in that bathroom is gone!! Quality: you get what you pay for. If I owned a house I would probably spring for a nicer seat, because this is very lightweight and I can see how it won't hold up for years on end. And if your kids stand on the seat a lot to reach things (mine don't) I bet the lid would break after a while. For my purposes, in an apartment, this was definitely worth the $18 I spent.

Will last a lifetie, EASY to clean and remove
I purchased this seat over a year ago from amazon. I LOVE that it is easy to clean. I LOVE that no matter what cleaner I use, the color does not come off like the paint does on the wooden seats. I have no problems with daily use or cleaning, the ONLY thing that maybe you should consider is that this lid is plastic as well. For those of you who like to sit on the lid and put on your socks......you WILL feel it give way under you and buckle a bit. I am 110 and experience this. If you are heavier, you will feel this more and you could possibly break it, depending on your weight. If you don't have to close the lid for any reason to sit on it, this seat is PERFECT. It will last a lifetime because it won't "rot" like the wooden seats do. I love the EASY removal clips as I take this off frequently and put the whole seat in the tub in hot water, give it a good soak (every nook and cranny of the hinges) with any cleaner of your choosing........I own 2 of them and would absolutely purchase them again!! FYI I bought them "USED" here from amazon. They were never used, just returned for whatever reason, could be color, size, price....... save your money! They were still new in the unopened package but had a dent in the box!!

Love it, never going back to a wood seat.
This is a great price and a major upgrade from the wood seat I had bought. After 4 moths of cleaning, the wood seat would lose the protective coating and then the wood absorbed unwanted liquid which you could not wash out and would leave a nasty smell that could not be removed. I will never use a wooden seat again, they are disgusting and a natural breeding ground for who knows what. This seat removes easily for cleaning and is very sturdy. Just the peace of mind is worth it. The Big Box store wanted over $40 for the exact same thing.

COMFY || NO Moving Around!
Transitioning from a compressed wood toilet seat, I wasn't sure how comfortable this was going to be in comparison. However, I'm surprised and it was a piece of cake to get use to! I like the fact that it can easily be SANITIZED, unlike wood that's painted and porous. This brand was rated top notch, on consumer reports, which is why I originally purchased it! I didn't go with the cheapest, but rather the "heavy duty" one and this is it. Unlike my last, this seat has NOT MOVED AROUND; the locks stay locked in place, as they should. If this one ever breaks, I'll get another one like it to replace!

Fits perfectly, SIMPLE to install, doesn't slip.
Replacement for master bathroom was easy to install and fit perfectly for our Eljer elongated stool. We have used Bemis in the past in wood because of weight. We decided to try the plastic and expectations were exceeded. This will be much easier to keep clean. We chose white though our stool is almond, but it is in its own "room" and matches our woodwork so we are pleased. Bemis equals quality at a reasonable price!

Easy install, fits perfectly
Needed a replacement. I prefer plastic as I feel it is more sanitary and holds up better than "coated wood". It is difficult to find this color and material from my local big box store. I have bone colored bath fixtures and the local stores typically only offer white in their budget friendly seats. The price was slightly better than ordering from a big box store and the choice of colors a bonus. I will say, I ordered the wrong color based on the selections given (appearance of color on the computer) but that was my fault and not worth sending back for the correct color (it's a toilet seat for Pete's sake!!!) If you are looking for true bone color then buy the "Bisque" option. I bought the Linen and it is slightly lighter than my toilet, but as I said, no problem as it's a toilet seat!!!! I will know next time I have to buy one! Very easy to install and remove for cleaning. Great product!!

Best toilet seat
Bemis 800EC000 Plastic Round Toilet Seat This is a great toilet seat. I bought this one due to his high volume of good reviews and it being most popular on Amazon. This is a great seat that is cheap but doesn't seem it in person. This seat is extremely easy to install and take off to clean the toilet. This is just a great seat. It is made of plastic that is thick for my husband who is a bigger man to not worry about it breaking. This seat feels good under your bum for long periods of time and is easy to open and close without major loud noises. I recommend this seat to anyone and everyone and you won't be disappointed with the quality of this toilet seat.
