Convenient Reliable DIY Option
I love SharkBite fittings. They can be moved, reused, and easily taken apart if needed. I have used them on pex and copper. I have never had any issue with leaking. I make sure I deburr (neaten and smooth the rough edges or ridges) the material and mark it so I know the depth the material needs to be inserted. They save time and money from hiring a professional to solder.

Sharkbites Rock!!!
Sharkbites are the real deal! I had to replace a hot water heater in very tight quarters under the counter of a kitchen sink in our cottage in Maine. Swetting all of those joints would have been very difficult. Sharkbites made this a 1/2 hour job versus a 2 hour job and not one single leak. Two strait couplings, two elbows and two 1/2" to 3/4" pipe fittings for the hot/cold inlet fittings on top of the tank was all that I needed. Not one drop of a leak. Buy the pex tube cutter and the measuring/chamfering gauge and watch a You Tube video or two, and anyone can do basic plumbing!

Convenient
I've been slow to trust these things. I'm pretty good at soldering, but these are so much more convenient, and safer than soldering pipe with a torch. The reason I've been slow is I've seen a couple of examples of the latest-and-greatest building products or recommendations not holding up in the long term. Like aluminum wiring that was installed in so many homes in the 1960s, for example. Or header beams built to code back then that have sagged over time. So the idea of putting these things behind walls where they couldn't be quickly reached and replaced wasn't so appealing to me. But as I said, after putting in a few, the convenience has won me over. They're a little tricky to install when you can't move the pipes a little to make room for them, but otherwise it makes the job simple and easy. So I've come around and started using them more.

SharkBite Products
Put in a whole house 3 stage filter system with 1 inch SharkBite fittings, valves and white SharkBite PEX pipes. They are a premium but you get a premium part that advertises what it's supposed to do and delivers on that. Not one leak from 12 fittings @80 PSI. Took 3 hours to cut, mount and install everything. Planning the project took twice that amount of time. It was very satsfying to see the water flowing from the faucets and knowing the filtration project was a success. Our water tastes and feels great and I can be self dependent on any maintenance needed in the future for my water quality using SharkBite products. Sounds like a promo but I'm a convinced consumer on the brand and will purchase in the future.

Great for a do it your selfer!
These SharkBite fittings are the best when working with PEX pipe. If the pipe is cut square and clean (use the appropriate cutter!), the fittings can be installed by hand, allowing easy installation by a do it your selfer. When I bought my house 8 years ago I had it entirely re-plumbed with PEX while remodeling. Had I known how easy it was I might have taken that job on myself instead of hiring the plumber. On second thought, maybe not, but simple jobs are a snap with these fittings!

Great fittings for DIY solutions
Love these SharBite fittings. I did a bathroom remodel that had old iron pipe and a soffit to accommodate the piping. I wanted to do away with the soffit making the tub area feel larger. These worked great along with some pex tubing to reroute the water lines making for a quick and easy solution.

Wonder product.
I just recently discovered Sharkbite products. To be honest, I haven't really needed plumbing products in quite a few years. Who would have ever guessed that plumbing could be so easy. Yeah. I just took the tub out of my bathroom and needed to change the plumbing. I was prepared to buy more copper connectors and a little propane take. But no! These are so easy. Just get the flexible tubing and the joints needed and push them together and in no time at all you are done. The best thing since sliced bread. And yes I was around when sliced bread came out.

Did the job eventually
I live in a very rural area with just a small hardware store so I need to order almost everything thru Amazon. Contrary to what they say and the videos on youtube tell you, there is no easy way to get these undone. My local hardware store was out of small sections of standard pex so I bought a red section thinking it should work fine for the 8" I needed, wrong, soon as I installed and turned water on the joint started leaking bad. Took me over and hour with a lot of cursing and sweating to undo the joint. So in essence they work too well lol.

Awesome for DIY plumbing projects!!!!!
Sharkbite fittings were my solution to not only replacing 2 outdoor spigots, but also found them so easy to use that I put in a spigot where I had needed one for a long time. I put in 23 feet of copper pipe to where I wanted the spigot using different types of Sharbite fittings. Very easy to do!! I would recommend that you buy the release tool.... and yes these can be taken off & used again. Also purchase the deburring tool that not only deburrs but when you put the pipe all the way into it that is the dept it should be inside the fitting. Just used a sharpie to mark that dept on the pipe. Then when your putting on the fitting you know it's in correctly. They also make "check valves", and I used them to stop hose water from coming back into the house. The one problem I ran into was that the pipes will rotate with these fittings. That's a good thing when your laying out the pipes, but when you have a spigot at the end you don't want it to rotate :) So I used Milford straps. These wrap around the pipe on the end & have screws you tighten to stop it from moving at all!! The spigots I installed are compression connections........so no torch and soldering. Make straight pipe cuts, use the right tools and your ready to go. Used 10 SharBite fittings and "not one dip of water from any of them"!

Sweating is a Thing of the Past!
I can't say enough good about Shark Bite fittings and valves! I had a small plumbing project that would have taken me hours to do the "old fashioned" way and Shark Bite allowed me to get it done in minutes.... literally! I haven't noticed any leaks at all and installing Shark Bites is so easy a child could do it. Yes, they cost more than traditional plumbing parts, but the time saved pays for itself. From the research I have done, I am confident that the Shark Bite products I use will outlive me. I won't be doing any plumbing the old fashioned way ever again as long as these are available. Try a few and you will most likely agree that there is no other way to do home plumbing projects.
