I love this locker! I intended to get the 8 gun unit but the price for this 10 gun unit was too good to pass up. The shipping was free and the padding was AMPLE! At least an entire garbage bag full of padding. It came with an removable shelf and padded rests. The setup was quick and easy, there are some heavy duty screws that you can use to anchor it in a specific location. And a little piece of mind: it comes with a form that you keep in case you ever loose the keys that allows you to submit a request for replacements. For anyone who has had to have a lock cut open (I've lost a few gun lock keys) this is a great comfort.

My cabinet arived in excellent condition, well packed with insulating foam. The keys are sitting atop the cabinet in the box, so when you open it, beware that you could lose the keys if you don't pay attention. First things first- this isn't a safe. It won't protect from fire or flood. It won't keep out a determined thief with a crow bar and a lot of time on his hands. It will keep children and curious guests way from firearms and valuables, and it does a fine job at that. The interior is bare metal with the exception of an included foam pad for the interior floor. The barrel rests are very cheaply made foam with adhesive strips on the back. They do the job, but they don't look particularly nice. The shelf is plenty wide, but it's not very deep at all, so you won't fit much on it. Be aware of that. It is not adjustable. If you need more space, the Stack on Pistol/Ammo cabinet (GCB-500) mounts to the top of this with pre-drilled holes. Otherwise, you can store anything at the bottom of the safe if you have room with your rifles. I purchased some carpet meant to line auto interiors and subwoofer boxes and lined the interior of this cabinet to make it look a bit nicer and to quiet it down. I also ordered Stack On's wireless LED light since I have this mounted in a darkish closet. All the hardware is included. The door is locked via the included key (there are two included). It has a 3-point locking mechanism that seems sturdy, and the cabinet itself is made of solid steel similar to a nicer gym locker...perhaps a touch thicker. EDIT: 12/15/2015 I have since further modified the cabinet to extend the shelf. I simply cute a piece of wood the same width of the current shelf, but deeper. this allows a lot more storage. I had to add a second motion sensitive light since the shelf cut off the light from the first. I also added molded plastic barrel rests, since the foam rests that came with the shelf were not the most useful. (New photo added)

This is definitely a security cabinet and not what I would call a "safe". It does its job well though, and it will keep kids from the firearms. It will not, however, stop a determined thief as the metal isn't too strong and I'm fairly certain a crowbar would eventually get through this. If you want to keep your firearms away from kids or careless people though, this is a great way to do it and for the price, I definitely recommend it.

I chose the 5 star rating because I got exactly what I thought I was purchasing. It is not a gun safe, it is a cabinet. It will keep little hands off of your guns but it will not stop a determined thief. It arrived packaged very well, no damage.

This cabinet is well designed and very well made (in USA!) of heavy gauge steel. The fit and finish are fine. I was happily surprised by such high quality in a low-priced item; there's nothing Chinesy about it. It is not a true gun safe, but it should defeat a burglar who doesn't have good tools and plenty of time. I plan to mount mine inside a narrow closet, which would make it that much harder to attack effectively. The gun "racks" are simply stick-on foam dividers but hey, they're just something for the guns to lean against, so what the heck. The shelf is too shallow to be very useful, but it can easily be doubled in width by installing a similar-sized board. There's enough depth in the cabinet to allow mounting pistol pockets on the inside of the door. This is the most satisfying purchase I've made in a long time.

I was really amazed when I received it. My expectations were low because this qualified more as a metal cabinet and not a gun "safe" however, it is a very safe gun cabinet. The cabinet is excellent for not being a gun safe. I was able to set one shotgun, a Savage Axis XP, two AR rifles w/ scopes, and two AR pistols with a lot of accessories to lie comfortably in this cabinet. It would help if you kept in mind that this Security Cabinet is not by any means one of these E.M.P Proof Steelwater Heavy Duty Gun Safe that cost $$$. This cabinet is to keep the kids away from your firearms, just that. It was what I needed and for a reasonable price. One downside: the foam pieces that stick to the cabinet walls to hold your weapons ... It truly is challenging to keep anything with these pieces of foam. Also, consider covering the walls with any commercial carpet or EVA Foam Interlocking Tiles to minimize the noise. BTW ... Kudos to the Amazon delivery guys to handle this package with diligence and care.

I researched this cabinet before I ordered it. I'm satisfied with what I got. It isn't a safe and shouldn't thought of as one. I have only one issue and one recommendation. The issue is the foam holders. They are flimsy and the double sided tape is worthless. I replaced them with magnetic holders that let me adjust things as needed. My recommendation is the shelf. It could be at least one to two inches longer. Otherwise, it is just what I needed and I would buy another one.

This is awesome for my purposes of locking pew pew materials. But as others have said this is a locker (like the ones from school) and not a safe. You can easily pry this open if you have a crow bar. You can fit 2 50-cal ammo cans on the floor if they are to the right. (And possibly one more 30cal can. The reason why I do this is it makes the locker pretty heavy to move due to the weight. For my install I put this vibration alarm usually meant for bicycles. This means that any attempt to move or open the safe will set off the alarm. I stole this first paragraph from another reviewer because it fit my feelings exactly. This isn't a safe. It won't protect from fire or flood. It won't keep out a determined thief with a crow bar and a lot of time on his hands. It will keep children and curious guests way from firearms and valuables, and it does a fine job at that. Cons- shelf is a little small could have easily made it deeper. Mine came slightly dented but it's not a big deal to me as this is just my cheap way of keeping kids away from my weapons until they get older. Then I certainly will buy a safe but this is fine for a few good years.

Product shipped and delivered one day earlier than expected. It came in a very good condition and wrapped with good protection. No damage were seen after opening. I found the keys in a plastic bag taped on-top of the safe. Keys took a while to unlock as the lock seemed kind of hard, but after it opened i had no problem locking and unlocking. I installed the foams with no issues and they hold the guns pretty well. Overall I believe this is great for your money’s worth!
