Tried Taylor Lube on the frozen yogurt machines at work, and the handles would stick, allowing product to run out even after the handle was no longer pulled down. Ended up with piles of wasted froyo! An employee told me about this stuff (actually, she shouldn't remember the name, but the "blue label on a metal tube" was good enough to find it) so I ordered it ASAP. This works SO much better than Taylor did. No more leaks = happy employees (less mess to clean up) and less waste!

I purchased this to use on my Chef's Choice 615 meat slicer my wife purchased for me as a Christmas present. Reading other posts lead me to this product as it was recommended to use this to keep the motors moving smoothly. It has the consistency of Vaseline and goes on the motors and posts easily and does a good job of getting rid of the slight squeak on the motor as the blade spins. The size is pretty good for this machine and should last quite some time as we need to use fairly little of it. Overall this was a great buy for the meat slicer.

We have a slicer at our firehouse, the thing got to be over 80 years old. This stuff freed up the slicer it runs great now.

I purchased this to lubricate the cam in my espresso machine hot water lever. The cam that actuates hot water valve is brass. The water is 200deg but not in direct contact with the cam. It has worked wonderfully. Since then I've used it on a number of other applications that it is not designed for, each of which has worked well. Remember just a little goes a long way with this product. I like it.

99% of reviews talk about meat grinders. I don't have a meat grinder. I needed something to lubricate the O rings on my syringe type meat injector that is stainless steel and industrial grade. This Petro-Gel is fantastic for that application. I also have a cheaper plastic Walmart meat injector and I used the Petro-Gel on that this cheapo injector as well. Worked GREAT!!! This is a great product and considering the price, I could not be happier. Shipping VERY fast. Thanks for a great product at a resonable price!!!

This is a good grade lubricant. I have an electric food slicer that periodically needs to be lubricated. This is a product that was recommened to me by a food service worker. It is a thick, pasty gel that is waterproof, so you don't need to apply it every time you wash your blade. You'll get many uses out of a single use. Depending on how often you use the appliance in question, it will wear off, or eventually you will want to wash it off and put a fresh coat on. It washes with mild soap and water. You don't necessarily only have to use it for food handling equipment, it will lubricate anything.

I bought it to lube our espresso machine's brew group, but I've also been able to use this for other kitchen products. I think it would be a good all-round lube around the house, since it's a plant-derivative and doesn't stain like oil. The tube provides more product than I'll ever use!

for my purpose this is overkill. I use 2 or 3 fingertips of this grease and I probably won't use any more for another year. It would be nice to be able to get a smaller tube but when they do that they charge you the same. They tell you to use this but my friends tell me that they use vegetable oil and it works fine. If you are going to use this all the time it might be worth it but for me it was a waste of money. I gave it five stars because it does what it needs to do and does it well.

Honestly, I can't tell the difference between this and a bottle of Petro Jelly, but the price is like 1-5 times this being 5 times more expensive. I used this on my espresso machine on a regular basis, every other time I clean the brewing unit. It keeps the unit running smoothly without getting the parts stuck (it happened once that's why I am maintaining it regularly now.)

Clear, odorless, and tasteless, this lubricant is just what you need for all your culinary machines. The silicone seals and O rings benefit from the protection and lubrication of this gel. Unlike various food grade oils that are too thin and become rancid with long storage, this stay put and is stable over time. The tube is about the size of a large toothpaste tube, and that should last a home kitchen several years.
