A while back my dad switched his dogs to blue buffalo and they were noticeably softer and shinier. I decided when I got a cat I would feed it blue buffalo. I got a 1 and 8 month old cat from a local shelter and it was an impulse thing, my mom promised we would get a kitten if my step brother took his cats to his moms house and I was going through a bout of depression so we got her then the things we needed from Walmart then got her fixed. They had to shave her belly and for the longest time the hair was barely growing back and she started losing hair near her knees and thighs on her back legs and so I pressured my mom into buying this and we weened her off her old food by mixing this in with it and her belly and legs are fluffy again and she’s on this without the old food now. I don’t have any pictures of the hair issues but she’s really cute so here she is next to the christmas tree. (She’s 11 pounds and 2 years 2 months I feed her half a cup at 2-6 pm everyday if that helps anyone at all)

I got my 16 year old kitty and my 13 year old kitty off of the grocery store cat food. My 13 year old developed a heart murmur and my vet thought it might be from the food he was eating. I weaned them off of the other food after doing some research on line. When I saw all of the by products in the other food and things like corn and other grains that cats don't eat in the wild I knew I had to find something better. Blue Wilderness is one of the best foods out there. Yes it costs a little more but my cats are eating it and not throwing up. They were actually allergic to the corn and other grains in the old food. I am very happy with this food and my cats are like kittens wanting to play again!

We have two cats and were feeding them IAMs Chicken which they loved but I noticed a few things I didn't like. While IAMs was 32% protein (higher than most), I still didn't want our cats eating any more carbs/fat than they had too. Second, while the first two ingredients were meat (chicken and chicken by-product) the third was corn gluten meal, something that no cat should eat. They also ate a TON of it without seemingly to fill up. So I did some research and this was the highest protein meal I could find at a decent price. The first two items are chicken without by-product and no cornmeal to be found. It has 40% protein vs 32% for IAMs. The rest of the ingredients are your typical "good" sounding ingredients like Tapioca starch or Pea Protein. What benefit or detriment they have, I don't know but they sound like filler to me. It'll cost you plenty more money as well. For the same price I could get nearly double of the IAMs. Also, my cats couldn't care less, they'll eat anything. I just feel better not shoving the cheapest junk at them and giving them something closer to what they'd find in the real world. If I was on a strict budget, probably IAMS chicken isn't the worst choice. But whatever you do, get your cats off Friskies or the like which is mostly corn and corn gluten. Costco has an uber cheap cat food that is mostly chicken if you can't afford a lot.

My vet highly approves of this food. My cat Spice, readily eats it. I am now only feeding 1/3 daily plus 1/2 can of ** wet food. I used to feed her 3/4 cup of dry food a day and she still cried for more food. With Blue Wilderness, she heartily ate but began leaving food behind. I had hew checked by the vet and she is fine. The DR. asked me what I was feeding her and I told her . Vet said that is reason she isn't eating as much. She is getting a very high quality food and the nutrition that she needs. Therefore she doesn't need to eat as much. Her litter box is healthy and the smell has been greatly reduced. With the reduction in the amount of dry food fed, the cost of feeding my cat has drastically dropped. She get 12 feeding per pound of dry food and this is a 13 pound bag. Approached by her vet. She loves this food and it is cost effective for me all the way around. Spice doesn't need to eat much to get her nutritional needs met. Good food equals a healthy cat. A her fur kid equals a healthy wallet. Because a healthy fur kid means very few trips to the vet.

I'm not a real fan of cats. I'm more of a dog person. Other people in my house wanted cats so we went to the local shelter and picked up a couple of gutter kitties. When we initially got them, the kittens seemed to be having some digestive distress. Not to be too graphic, but I would use the term 'explosive' to describe it. Figuring it was their diet, I went out to a local pet store to find a good brand of food. I settled on this stuff because it seemed to get back to the basics of what a cat is and needs -- if left to their own devices in the wild, they would eat stuff high in protein and fat. They aren't going to be looking to have a salad or pasta dish. Almost immediately, I noticed a difference in the cats. First, their litter box didn't look like Chernobyl. Second, their hair/fur became much softer. In fact, when people come over and pet the cats, the first thing they always comment on is how soft they are. I fully believe this is due to their diet. Especially since I don't really do anything else for them that would result in softer fur (occasional brushing?) This is all I feed my cats. They are in great condition so I don't see that changing. The price for this specific variety is better on Amazon. It'd be nice if I could get the Duck recipe for the same price, but that's just getting greedy. Two downsides: First, some of these nuggets must be invisible to cats. Occasionally, the cats will eat the food located in the center of the dish so that only a ring around the edge remains. They will then give me grief -- looking at me, looking at their bowl, looking back at me and making odd noises like they need to be fed. If I put a little more food in the bowl, voila -- they resume eating. I can only deduce that the other food pellets are invisible. Second, it appears the food has some kind of 'mexican jumping bean' effect. I frequently find bits and pieces scattered all around the outside of their bowls. Since I know the cats wouldn't make a mess like that, it's gotta' be the food's fault. If the folks at Blue Buffalo could figure out a way to make this stuff stay in the bowl and eliminate the cloaking issue, then I'd give it six stars.

My cat developed several food sensitivities as she got older. We tried countless kinds of limited ingredient or grain free products, including other Blue lines, but nothing helped and some made it worse. I don't know if it was because they tasted bad or made her belly hurt or both, but it was a huge relief to find this Blue Wilderness food. She is incredibly picky, but actually seems to like it and no longer has the digestive problems. It made a huge difference for her within just a day or two... if you're in the same situation and starting to feel desperate, definitely give this food a try.

Our two Siamese boys LOVE this food. It came highly recommended by their foster mom and they are almost one year old now. We were feeding them the Kitten version and have now transitioned from kitten to Adult version. They are super healthy and their bowel habit have always been healthy too since we brought them home at 2 months old. They are fully indoor cats. You can tell how much they love Blue Buffalo food by their determination of trying to get more..

This is what we've been feeding our hedgehog for the last 4 years (since we got him) and he literally will not eat anything else. I know some hedgehogs do eat fruits and veggies but ours won't. I guess that's testimony to how tasty this cat food is? He also seems to be pretty healthy, running on his wheel in the middle of the night and such. I love that when my 13 year old forgets to tell me that Hedgie is out of food until when it's gone, Amazon can have it at the house the next day. It's kind of hard to find locally in stores. Either way, here's a picture of a cute hedgehog.

My two cats (a Maine Coon and common black house cat, been on it 4 months now) both love this food. Their coats are super soft and shiny, the coon has stomach problems and actually stopped throwing up every day because of Blue (he still does on occasion but now it's simply from eating too fast). They both get along with it, and they've limited their eating now due to their old food having so many fillers, so they're eating less but eating better. The coon has started to lose some fat! I've had a lot of experience with Blue products for my dog and the kitties (plus had over 10 kittens/cats on it, they all loved it), and this product has always improved my pets' lives. I would 100% recommend, my boyfriend's mom is switching from another vet recommended brand after touching our cats and seeing how soft they are. There really is no comparison. We make commitments when we take our pets home, so the least we can do is give them the best quality of life we can. This food helps with that, your babies deserve it and you won't regret the extra money because it lasts longer than a bag of the overly processed foods. Plus I've heard it does wonders for diabetic cats also! (Disclaimer: I did not receive a discount or free product for sharing, I like to share my experiences if they're overwhelming positive or negative)

Simply amazing. My cat is 3 yrs old Norwegian Forrest cat and loves it.So glad I switched. First of all the food smells great because he runs when I open the bag. His stool does not smell and is solid and best part of it all is that this cat food is filling. He eats less of it because it is truly full of nutrients. Not to say anything bad about another brand but when I used purina Finley was eating so so much more of it. And his stool with purina had a really strong smell to it. His coat even looks better now.
