I bought this product for my Grandmother who is just over 80 years old. She has put on a little weight over the years so it's harder for her to get around now. She needs to keep exercising but being on her feet means carrying around the extra weight which makes her tire quickly. This product does have adjustable resistance which is great. I didn't really test out the feature to much considering it wasn't going to be used for heavy resistance. I had this shipped to my house so I could put it together and test it out before I handed it over to her. She keeps in her kitchen which is linoleum so she can sit on a kitchen chair and pedal away. She has some water retaining issues with her one ankle and this helping to keep the swelling down a bit. She says she sits down in the kitchen and uses this at least every other day. The resistance is enough to give someone like her a workout without having it take a toll on the joints. She really seems to be enjoying working out. I would recommend this to anyone who has an elder person or a person who just needs to get some motion workout in. If you are looking to get a real workout then this is not the product for you. This product is not ment for heavy use and long cycling.

I have reduced circulation in my legs. I was ordered by my doctor to put on a fitbit and walk several miles a day and do so many flights of stairs. Neither of which my knees appreciated nor did I at 2 am when the weather was bad and my only option was to walk or take a bunch of really nasty medications that still didn't fix the problem. I've tried treadmills and stationary bikes and not liked either. Someone recommended this very unit. Salvation. Lightweight and it does come in parts, but easy to assemble. It fits under the coffee table. The stirrups do have a couple of snap notches for adjusting. I put this next to the couch, slouch a little, put on the earbuds and fire up my tablet and start in. The range of motion is excellent and easy to do-very little effort. It has resistance but I have it 'free' mode because what I need is the muscles to move and naturally force the accumulated fluids and that back out. This does it with minimal impact to my hips, knees, and ankles. It is almost mindless to get it started and just pump away until the legs feel better. No more restless legs and that strange ache. I don't push it hard or fast, but at a moderate steady pace. It's not really sturdy enough for fast or hard, but for what I do need, it's perfect. Best investment of ($17.06 plus tax when I bought it). I don't care about fancy, I just care about results. It has given me back a lot of sanity. No more doing that strange bouncy bit with the legs (fidgeting on steroids). No more walking in weird weather. No more something taking up that much space and I hate using it. I give this five of five stars and two of two legs. I need to go on a long trip soon and it will come apart and fit in a suitcase-it will be a bit of a space eater but it will break down to fit in one of my wheeled suitcases. Win-win.

This type stationary peddler was recommended by my husband's therapist. Low price with same basic results as a full stationary bike. Small enough to sit by his chair so he can easily get to it. My husband was stricken with Gulillum Barre Syndrome which paralyzes you beginning at your feet. He had to learn to walk again. This product was not as sturdy as the therapist used but I am sure theirs was 10 times more expensive. This is an affordable option and not heavy and small. My husband did need to remove his shoes and use only socks because the peddles are small. Glad she told us about it and I was able to get in 2 days due to being a prime item.

Buying the Exercise Peddler is the best thing I have done for myself. Both of my knees need to be replaced but because I am anemic I have to work on building up my blood before surgery can be done. The Peddle Exerciser has kept my knees flexible and I love using it. When I began using it I could only make it go completely around six times because my knees hurt so badly. Now I peddle it a half an hour or more with no pain while I am using it. My Doctor told me to only do non-weight bearing exercises. I can sit in a chair and use the exerciser while watching tv, talking on the phone, etc. I was low cost, easy to assemble, light weight and sturdy. I highly recommend it for anyone who is serious about keeping their knees flexible. I will have the surgery as soon as I can, but in the meantime the Peddle Exerciser is keeping me moving. LOVE IT.

It took a long time but my old one finally broke. The bar snapped at the point where divots are cut out for the washers that keep it in place. The cheaper versions of this with non-solid legs are worthless unless you know how to weld it tight. It claims to offer resistance but not really. You tighten it just enough to turn smoothly. The motion replicates a recumbent bike and what I do now is try to touch the pedals as lightly as possible while spinning the pedals. It's not easy. I use a padded folding chair while using it and it's great.

I purchased for my Mom who had a double knee replacement over 10 years ago. Recently my Moms knees were getting stiff and its getting harder for her to walk. She sits in a chair and the large turn of the petals really gives her good range of motion. You can also use for arms on a table top. Very easy to put together and very sturdy. Its fairly Heavy so it will not tip over.

I love this thing. I have a job where I sit for 8 hours a day and don't want to pay hundreds for the standing desk. It doesn't fit perfectly under my desk, my knees bang, but it's small enough I can pull it out and push it back in when I need to. It doesn't slide and so far doesn't make noise. It does get hot pretty quickly but I try to use it at 10-20 minute intervals. It's enough to get my heart rate up a little and keep the blood pumping. I highly recommend this. My co-workers saw mine and bought their own the same day. Well worth it for under $25. It clearly doesn't replace full active exercise, but it does get the blood flowing. I've noticed I don't get that 3pm slump either so it's eliminated the need for afternoon caffeine of any sort just by moving more.

Love this exercise peddler. My dad is in an group home/assisted living. His physical therapist used one to help him with strength for walking and just moving about. So I got him one. Now everyone in his assisted living uses it as part of their daily morning exercise. Even a therapist from another group home came over and asked me where I got it. She was very impressed with how light, but heavy it is in the right places. Some of the patients have trouble with the straps as they need assistance putting them on. They also use it for their arms.

You just need to anchor it down. Or put it up against something heavy. Because it slides away. It is works great.

Easy to set up and good quality. Very sturdy and stable for sitting down exercises and arm exercises. Need a bit of strength screwing that tension bolt in so keep that in mind. Very nice grey/silver spackled finish on the metal. The black petals are a sturdy plastic (so would be bad for trying to hold onto something and use while standing as some people seem to want to do) and are ample spaced so you could get a slippered foot in. For the price this is a nice exerciser indeed and if you look online you will find that this is a great deal on this machine. If you are new to exercise equipment then I suggest you google pedal exerciser benefits to get an idea of what this machine can do for you and how to use it. The exerciser does come with instructions on how to assemble it and briefly how to use it. Hope this review helps, thanks for reading and have an excellent day.
