Best shower bench yet (4th one in 17 yrs)
Love this bench discovered it at a friend's house works both in a tub & awesome for roll on shower. The suction cups are amazing no more unwanted/unexpected chair sliding due to soap/hair product. Reversible handle makes access easy. The length allowed me to transfer & settle before sliding under the water & the width gives me enough space to bring my foot up to better access my legs for shaving & better access to reach & clean/scrub my feet

I am a home health occupational therapist and I have purchased 3 of these transfer benches for patients. They are affordable and well built with easy assembly. Make sure to adjust the legs to fit the tub as well as the floor so that the bench is flat and not tilted. Also make sure to test out the bench before having the patient (family member) transfer onto it.

Just like the one at the hospital
I was looking for a bench to use while taking showers in the tub at home after being discharged from the hospital. This unit appears to be identical to the one I used while hospitalized. It is easily assembled without tools.

Great price and quality, pros and con
Pros: 1. Sturdy 2. Adjustable height and legs for leveling 3. Very large Cons: 1. Very large 2. Textured surface can be a bit uncomfortable if you swivel without lifting a bit Overall: I'm really impressed with the design and quality of this transfer bench. It's easy to dry myself before getting up or with legs outside the tub. Very stable and secure.

Perfect!
This is light weight but perfect to transition into and out of the tub. I purchased as I had broken a leg and during the recovery process I wanted to be able to shower. And it's amazing when you can't shower. One thing to keep in mind is you will need to put the shower curtain in between the shower seat and the transfer piece. There is a small slit where you want to put the curtain and make sure it goes in that slot or you'll be mopping the bathroom. I have had no other issues and am Thankful, the price was great as well!

The right size to get.
I bought one of these to use in shower after foot surgery, and if I had to do it over again I'd bite the bullet and buy two. I actually needed two benches to be able to use my shower, and the smaller secondary one I bought was very unstable. I've also dragged this bench from the shower to my bathroom sink, and it is tall enough to use at my counter height bathroom sink. Very comfortable, practical and safe One caution, sometimes the suction cups stick to my tile floor, which can be tricky if you're not expecting it Also, you should occasionally tighten the legs just as a precaution. I decided against installing the back rest, and that worked fine.

Nice large transfer bency
Works great in my standard bathtub, love that it can hold a larger weight. I felt very secure on the bench it is very sturdy. I am handicap and while my shower was being remodeled, I needed to use my front bathroom with a tub to shower everyday for 2 weeks. I was able to sit on the side of the bench that fits outside the tub and ease my legs over the side of the tub. I only showered and sat on the seat the whole time. I liked that the legs could be adjusted as the part of the bench that sat inside the tub needed to be a shorter length. The trick for me was making sure the plastic curtain was then secure on the bench around me so I did not flood the bathroom floor. Now that the shower is finished in the master bathroom, I use this bench in there but it fits side ways as it is too wide and I have a sliding glass door in that bathroom.

Excellent product!
I bought this for my mom to use after her spinal fusion, at the recommendation of her physical therapist. It had been so helpful! Since it is a bench-style, she is able to back up to it using her walker, then safely slide onto it and pull her legs over into the tub to use it. It's much better than the shower chair she previously used which just sat down in tub and had no handles, suction cups, or back to it. It's very easy to assemble and to install. The suction cups on the back legs help to keep the chair safely in place, the back helps keep her from falling backwards, and the handle helps to steady her so she can shower safely and independently. This was such an excellent purchase! (This is a picture of how they recommended setting up the shower chair at her rehab facility.)

This is the best thing since sliced bread
This is the best thing since sliced bread! My mom recently had a stay in the hospital, which depleted her strength and stability. Even though she's got most of it back now, she's keeping this bench permanently because she feels so much safer in the shower. She can now wash her hair in the shower as well. It's a wonderful invention. However, you have to put it together. Instructions say put into slot A yada yada... none of them are labeled A, B, C, D. So be careful to look carefully at the photo when putting the thing together. The legs are supposed to lock into place with those little tension buttons (push the button in and slide the pole up to the hole in the other pole and the button pops into the hole. The leveling/height button and holes work just fine, but the buttons and holes for putting the legs on are REALLY hard to work. But, keep at it. It will pop into place eventually. After it's together, it is very stable and holds a lot of weight. I think the thing says 400 pounds. Mom only weighs 120, so I can't attest to that fact.

A+ rating! Sturdy, lightweight, safe - definitely recommend!
After I fell and broke my femur, one of my first major milestones was that first shower (heavenly!) which I couldn't have done without this bench. I've been using the bench for 2 months now and I'm very pleased with it. The minimal assembly to attach the feet was easily accomplished by my husband. The legs can be easily adjusted for the proper bench height and the suction cups on the feet keep the bench from shifting. The bench is very sturdy and because it extends over the side of the tub, you can sit on it from outside the tub and safely maneuver your legs into the tub from a sitting position. The side handle and back also provide stability for the person getting in and out of the tub, and while using the bench. My occupational therapist recommended the grey bench (rather than the white) as over time it would be less likely to show stains, but so far, there has been no issue with any staining. You can purchase a separately sold shower curtain with splits to accommodate the section that sits outside of the tub, but I have been able to just tuck the normal shower curtain around the bench and have not had an issue with water on the floor. The bench is lightweight so it can be easily moved when others want to use the tub. I would DEFINITELY recommend this bench!
