Great product
We bought Sylvania SRCD243 Portable CD Player with AM/FM Radio, Boombox (Blue) a month agoBought 4/19/16 for my 9 yr old granddaughter to replace her old one. It is next to her bed and is simple to use. She loves it. She listens to CDs when she goes to bed and sometimes when she is playing in her room. It never leaves her nightstand. I don't know what everyone is reviewing and Amazon lumps review for various similar products together but our player is holding up fine. Follow-up: As of June 1, it still works fine. It is very lightweight and it is probably cheaply made. As such, it won't stand up to a lot of banging around. However, it has great sound, very crisp and clear. Radio works better than the last one we had. It doesn't have an antenna on ours. She gets her favorite station on this one without an antenna and couldn't get it on the old player with an antenna.

Just right!
I love listening to the radio or a cd while cooking. My old cd radio died after several years of use. I wanted a new one that was small, but with good clarity and easy to use. I'm very happy with this Sylvania! Love that it has a handle, too!

For $30 Great Portable CD Player
Sound quality is what you might expect from this price point, but I expected that before ordering so no stars off for that. I wanted a cd player that would repeat the entire cd and one that runs on batteries (as well as plugs in). This fits the bill. FYI - If you want to use the stereo/cd player with batteries, you have to unattach the power cord from the boombox, not just unplug it.

Excellent CD player
I purchased this for an older person with some difficulty seeing and understanding/remembering, to listen to books on CD. I really like it. For this, the sound is great. The buttons are easy to understand and to see. I think I'll get one for myself!

CD player
This is a very nice CD player. So far, I'm only using it plugged in so I don't know how it might perform on battery power. My only negative is that the highest volume isn't loud enough to hear it clearly if I go into the next room. But if I miss too much it is easy to go back to the previous cut and replay it. Update: After 3-4 weeks it quit working completely. Definitely wasn't worth what I paid for it.

Great Sound, and so many ways to connect to hear my music and books.
I've had this stereo now for a few months and use it constantly. The sound quality is fine for my kitchen, family room. I've used all the features. I keep an old iPhone 4 that works fine for playing Pandora, the CD player works great, as does the USB port and the radio. I love that there are only 3 station buttons, as I usually am listening to either an oldies station or NPR radio. No fumbling to find my choice. If I could have everything I want, I'd be able to back space on the CD, as I'm trying to learn a foreign language, and the only choice the CD function gives me is to go to different tracks, but I expect that's the way all CD players are.

My daughter LOVES this.
Perfect little CD player for my daughter's room. It's her first music player at 4 years old and she loves it. It's easy enough for her to use on her own. She can work the volume, play/pause, stop, and skipping buttons just fine. I am however, getting very sick of the 10 song Kids Christmas CD I bought her. THAT was a mistake. :-)

Has been well worth the money
This has been one of the best little purchases. Has held up great and has a really good sound. I've purchase one for my daughter and one for myself. Has been well worth the money.

Great color compact design
I bought this for my son's house as mine is so useful for listening to NPR. I was able to chose a funky color that suits his decor [mine is "boring" black] There are no preset buttons and so one has to twiddle a knob on the side to re-tune between stations. That doesn't matter for us as we only listen to NPR but that could be a disadvantage to others who listen to multiple stations aat different times For our purpose, this is a good product at an affordable price

Then he felt bad so he took me shopping for CD playing equipment ...
I've ben waiting a long time for this. It was on my Christmas list for several years. This Christmasmy husband, who wasn't listening, bought me a portable CD player. Then he felt bad so he took me shopping for CD playing equipment somecosting greater that $300. Then I showed him this one and he finally understood. I love the sound quality and it's lightweight.
