After searching forever online for a papertowel holder that wouldn’t annoy me , I am glad this is what I decided on! Amazed with the quality of this paper towel holder. This is no flimsy, cheap holder like many I’ve had in the past. Easy to install- if you have cabinets like mine, I would suggest getting smaller wood screws (used 1/2”) which is what we did with ours. Also love how it’s so easy to change a roll; just press and pull. Having brachial neuritis that affects my arm/hand/wrist, this doesn’t bother me at all when removing. One minor thing I’ve noticed is when removing a paper towel, the rod spins and I end up with too many. Not sure if the roll is too small or if it’s the actual papertowel holder. Not a big deal though, definitely would recommend.

I've had this holder for more than 5 years, and it works really well. Mine is mounted vertically on the side of a cupboard near the sink. From the other reviews, it sounds like it might not work as well when mounted horizontally, but I love this holder. It's very durable and works great even with larger rolls, and the screws don't poke through on the inside of the cupboard, either. Also it was very easy to install. I just bought a second one because the first one was beginning to get a bit flimsy. This one is more sturdy than the first, so I'm very happy!

We purchased this wall mount paper towel holder in October 2015 and installed it under a cabinet to free up counter space. Over a year later this paper towel holder is still going strong. We use the Costco big rolls and there's no problem with them fitting. I love how easy it is to change the roll too. We've had no issues with breaking, lopsidedness or otherwise. The screws were a little short and I did use my own but honestly I expect that for almost anything purchased and am prepared to use my own. We like the design so much we purchased another for our laundry room.

This is my second holder. I was so impressed with the first one which I have had for several years and is still working perfectly and this is why I purchased the second one. I have one mounted vertical along the side of a cabinet in the wife’s laundry room. The second one I mounted vertical in my garage above my wash tub. Looks good-easy to change out paper towels-has enough resistance that the holder allows you to pull off as much paper as you need without just the right resistance.

Although we had a perfectly good paper towel holder, my wife hated it because she felt it was ancient and plastic. So while renovating and upgrading the entire kitchen I also began the search for a fancier, futuristic paper towel holder that more closely matched all of our stainless appliances. Although this one does not seem to hold any mystical powers or fancy futuristic gizmos like lasers or self-drying refilling towel teleportaton, it accurately distributes paper towels with minimal effort and it does not sometimes drop the roll on the ground as our previous plastic model seemed to enjoy doing. Happy wife. happy life. Plus, this one does look a lot cooler than the old one. My only gripe would be when you hang it precisely level on the wall, which is a pet peeve of mine, due to the spring retention, the paper towel roll is pushed upgrade at an angle. I ended up showing my wife with a level that the rack's bar was indeed level on the wall... the roll unfortunately was not. This does not in any way hinder the towel distribution.

Take one craft-inclined kitty. Add a kitchen with extremely limited storage space, and a new roll of paper towels sitting on the counter. Leave them alone for five minutes, and what do you get? A lifetime supply of paper doilies! Now, I like doilies as much as the next person, but really - how many people actually use doilies anymore? Perhaps to occasionally dress up a plate holding a fancy cake, but nowadays, there really isn't any need to have a roll of a hundred doilies. Especially at the expense of paper towels, which really ARE a daily use item in most homes. Enter the Simplehuman Stainless Steel Wall Mount Paper Towel Holder, now installed on our kitchen wall, right next to the fridge. Because my daughter and I are both short-statured and use manual wheelchairs, placing the towel holder out of the reach of "Krafty Kitty" would make it impossible for us to reach it as well. So, the unit is mounted about 3 1/2 feet from the floor - which kitty can reach if he stretches. But kitty cannot unroll the towels. The Simplehuman Paper Towel Holder puts enough tension on the roll to prevent "Krafty Kitty" from unfurling it (even using both paws), and allows humans to tear off one sheet at a time, when needed, using only ONE paw....er....hand. The Simplehuman Wall Mount Paper Towel Holder has freed up counter space (for when one of us inadvertently left the roll on the counter), and made our home a more peaceful place ("MOM! WHERE DID YOU HIDE THE PAPER TOWELS THIS TIME?") And what's to become of Krafty Kitty? He's looking for a new hobby to occupy his free time. It appears "power napping" is the frontrunner...

My wife has been getting on me for years about a paper towel holder. She hates having a loose roll sitting on the counter top. I just couldn't find one I liked, until this design from simplehuman. Pros: -Compact enough to install just about anywhere, vertical or horizontal, -The end cap holds the roll on firmly, but easily comes off (when you want it to) to replace the roll, -My favorite feature: the "spring" on the end near the mounting bracket puts a bit of tension on the roll of towels, so when you inevitably give it a jerk to rip off a paper towel, you just get that one, and the roll doesn't go spinning, dispensing way to many! Cons: -The only Con I could come up with is that it requires screws for mounting. It would be great if you could use some 3M Command strips to mount this guy so you didn't have to damage your wall or underside of the cabinet.

I was so tired of having a paper towel holder on the counter that was constantly being knocked over from the opening of our kitchen cabinets. To be honest, it also was very ugly but it was there when we moved into our new condo. In my experience, Simplehuman has always put out quality products and functional products that look sharp. We already have the SH trashcan in stainless steel so I ordered this holder to match it. I mounted it right above the trash so that it can be a constant reminder to the kids where trash goes. It matches the stainless steel products we have in the kitchen and was very easy to mount. It even came with the hardware necessary to mount to the wall.

My favorite design by far! I will first say that I am not being paid for saying this but I am a fan of SimpleHuman products because they are USUALLY very simply designed products that do as they should but still look good. Looks are great but function means more...add them both and you get most of SimpleHuman's products. While they tend to cost a little more...some of them are worth the money while others not so much. On to the actual review. The tension spring works and works well, you can actually tear off a paper towel with one hand. This works better with the half sheet paper towels but still works with full sheets. The end fastener keeps the rolls from sliding off the holder but is extremely easy to remove when you need to swap rolls. Is is the best looking paper towel holder? That's not for me to decide for you but it does look nice but its mostly about the function for me as I wanted something wall mounted to clear up counter space and being able to tear off a sheet with one hand is a big win as I often have a 8 month old in the other.

A quick installation tip: When installing this there is a small cap on the left end of the rod. Pop that off with a flat head screwdriver and then unscrew the rod from the base. It will make it INFINITELY easier to mount. Also if you're having trouble leveling it... place your level perpendicular to the base (on the same side as that you found the cap) and level it that way. Total install time is about 10 minutes. I used this for mounting paper towels over the utility sink in my garage. It works great.
