This is a much better quality than the ones from the dollar store and ...
I didn't think about getting one until my tire pressure notification went off. This is a much better quality than the ones from the dollar store and much more accurate than the gas station air pumps (if they worked at all). I chose the pencil type after reading that the dial types are sensitive to drops (which I know will happen).

MADE IN USA! Made to just work
Made in USA!!! I got tried digital gauges ALWAYS letting me down. I use them maybe a couple times a year. The rare times I would need them, they would be dead. This happened with two different digital gauges. I now have this in my glove box and don't have to worry about that problem anymore. This gauge gave me the same reading my digital gauge gave me. The bonus is, I didn't have to take it apart and fiddle with an annoying battery assembly to get that same reading. The real bonus, it has a tire tread depth gauge.

Accurate (tested it), compact, and so inexpensive! Great Purchase!
Bought this tire pressure gauge to leave in my car so I will never be in doubt whether my tires are abnormally low. This is especially useful for me during the drastically fluctuating temperatures in the early winter time. This is a handy tool to have and it is extremely compact so it is easy to fit in the center console, glove box, or even the side door compartments. The gauge is also very accurate as I counter tested the gauge with a a built in gauge at an air-filling station at a gas station, and my Dad's faithful old dual head chuck. Perfect compact and accurate pressure gauge. Don't waste your time comparing different gauges or money on the expensive ones when this little guy is handy and fits anywhere! Trust me, buy this gauge!

Solid, Accurate, Made in USA
Now I have five tire pressure gauges. Three are digital and two are manual, like this one. I have been unable to find a tire store that would confirm that their tire gauges are calibrated to some degree of accuracy, so my best effort is to see how many of my five actually agree with each other. This one agrees with one other digital gauge, as well as with the on-board tire monitoring system, so I'm going to call this Milton gauge "accurate." True enough, it's not affected by cold weather as are some of the digitals (batteries lose power) and this Milton product is solid as a rock. Its small profile makes it easy to keep in the glove compartment, and since its range is from 10 pounds to 70 pounds, I can also check on the "doughnut" spare in the trunk which carries 60 pounds, but which is always down if you don't check it often. Even though this seller charged me a few bucks shipping charge, I see this as a very good buy. Compared to the prices on the Milton web site, if's definitely so. Recommended? Absolutely.

Has a good weighty feel to it that makes it feel sturdy
Heavy duty. Has a good weighty feel to it that makes it feel sturdy. Brought it in at my last oil change/tire rotation and asked to compare it to their very expensive digital tire gauge and it was as close as I could read. (Theirs gave tenths of a pound)

Excellent high quality tire gauge for your average car driver!
Great tire gauge! Super high quality, all metal, not cheap plastic. This is the best tire gauge for your average everyday car driver. Great to toss in your car and know you have it when you need it. will never die from dead batteries like electronic ones and way more accurate than the cheap plastic ones.

Milton is all I use.
This is the gauge that I use for my Towing Trucks -- they use truck tires that inflate up to either 50 psi or 80 psi. It works great -- I keep two in the glove box, and two with the Air compressor. I've done the same for various Pressure-Range Milton gauges -- Low Pressure-range for my ATV & Lawn Mower, standard range for my car, and the High range for my Air Shocks and bicycle tires. They all work great -- you MAY see a variation of about one pound between one Milton gauge and another Milton, but that's perfectly acceptable for me.

Seems to Be Well-Made and Reliable Pencil Tire Gauge and Usable with High PSI Space-saver Tires
We now have limited use space-saver tires that have the recommended PSI of 60, but our old pencil tire gauges that we kept in the car glove compartments did not go that high, so I ordered the Milton Industries S-920 with the rated PSI of 10-70 to keep in the cars (I ordered two). The pencil gauges use no battery, so they can be left in the glove compartments without concern that the battery will be dead when you need to use the tire gauge. I compared the reading of the S-920 with a digital tire gauge and the readings were about the same. Our space-saver tires were about 40 PSI, so I added air to bring the space-saver tires up to 60 PSI.

Measures tire pressure and tire tread depth
Works just fine. Got one to keep in the glove box for each vehicle in my family, and an extra for my toolbox in the garage. Always somehow misplace them, so hopefully with so many they'll be around for a while.

Milton = Made in USA accuracy and quality-!
Also see my review on the S-921 5 -50 pencil guage (excellent) - and this S-920 is excellent as well, both gauges are accurate ---- I ended up searching all over town for a decent pencil guage -- looked all over my native capital city with four auto parts chains and NONE of them had even one decent tire guage, and none were made in the US--none, these Milton gauges all have "Made in USA" stamped right on them. All the local parts stores had was inaccurate Chinese junk, same gauges all sold under various brand names, but its not hard to tell they all come from the same offshore factory - and im so sick of it. Is it too much to ask to have the option of buying an accurate tire guage in a local store made in this country?? More to the point I want an accurate tire guage, not something that's "in the ballpark" -- My last set of tires cost just under $700.00 -- doesn't it stand to reason I want something more than a crappy import tire guage to make sure my tires are correctly inflated-?! Fuel and tires are expensive and both depend on your tire guage to go the most distance, so buy a good quality guage to take care of them-! As I said in my other interview, that industry standard for everyday tire guage accuracy is within 2 - 3 pounds, and all the Milton pencil gauges I bought have fallen well within that range, some identical --- and ive compared these to my more expensive dial guage from a prominant racing manufacturer and they are very close in accuracy. Buy these gauges before they outsource them to asia, theres no reason to not have a decent tire guage in the glovebox - and that's why pencil gauges are popular, they take up very little space in a console or glovebox. I just threw away a fistful of Chinese gauges that read all over the place, some were junk from day one, others took longer to fade away. The Milton name goes back decades, they make some of the best air line fittings in the industry, they know what theyre doing and they care about quality far more than any offshore sweatshop company. Buy them while you still can-!!
