I've been using copic for a long time, and these markers are fabulous. I'm an amutaur artist, I've only been doing art for 6 years, and copics are easy to handle, blend and use. They have a nice brush tip, and with proper paper they won't bleed. The only slight problem I noticed is that orange didn't really like to blend with the yellow, but they may have just been me. These markers are perfect for people who like a nice, clean look, without the splotchy paint lines or marker lines (provided if you learn to use them propetly.) If you're a first time buyer of copics, you won't regret it. The first time I got copics was when I was 14 And I was crazy for them. Also if you wanna know how to use copic markers I suggest watching tutorials on YouTube, it certainly helped me when I found out I didn't know how to color properly with markers XD I would also like to clarify there are 12 colors not 17, I'm not sure why it says 17 on the tab. Anywho, I hope my review helped! I would definitely buy again and recommend. (The picture of the colored character was used with my other copic markers, but I posted it to show how copic markers look when used on a character/drawing.)

Bought these for my wife to use and she loves them a lot since she originally had like only 10-15 markers. She said the colors were great and nothing was broken or dried out. The only mistake she realized, was the order accidentally had 2 of the same marker in it so we messaged the seller and are waiting to see what they tell us should be done about an exchange. Update: Wife said the other color wasn't a big deal to her so no exchange for us; overall though, everything was perfect; satisfied with seller and the product

These are very nice markers, and they blend well on the right type of paper (I recommend Bee Paper Bleedproof Marker Pack, 8-1/2-Inch by 11-Inch, 50 Sheets per Pack). However, a couple markers seemed oversaturated, the ink was actually dripping out of the brush nib. I found out that the markers that did this were clogged up, which can happen with too much heat or pressure, or if they drop from the table. To remedy this, you'll have to remove take both caps off, and and that will relieve the internal pressure. Now comes the tricky part: taking off the brush nib. Usually, you're advised not to do this, or you'll run the risk of damaging the brush nib, so it's recommended that you buy some spare nibs first. clean out any ink residue you see. You might wanna try adding more ink to compensate for what you lost, but I would rather wait for the marker to dry out. You don't wanna risk overfilling and clogging up the marker you just unclogged! After that makes sure you don't drop them, shake them, and don't get them too warm. Overall, great markers, they can be refilled, the nibs can be replaced, these really are some of the best out there. Now I know this may sound tedious, but if you're careful then this should be a rare job to do.

These are by far the best markers I have ever used. I waited a long time to purchase the Copic Markers because they are very expensive but it was worth the wait. Very clear coloring, nice blending and when they run out I know that I can refill them for a fraction of the cost of replacing them. The basic sketch set has a nice combination of colors and with a few additions from individual purchases I have enough markers to color the greeting cards I make. I had a small problem with the container they came in and Amazon immediately made an appropriate remedy as soon as I notified them. Love the markers and I love my Amazon prime. Knowing I can buy and item, like these Copics, and if I have any issues Amazon works to correct it with their with great customer service

I bought this set of Copics because I am trying to get into coloring my art work by more traditional means and having purchased a couple of Copic Sketch Markers in the past, I decided to go for the 12pc set. Now, they work wonderfully, as expected from the two I purchased years before, the multiple wonderful reviews, and the fact that Copics are used by many professionals. Also they apply really smoothly and have a very long life span. Nonetheless, if you are an artist and/or plan to make any type of elaborate piece, then 12 markers may not be enough. These work great alone, but (I found) Copics are best when blended together and because this is a 12pc BASIC set, you only get 12 different colors. It makes doing highlights and shadows a bit difficult when you are missing the in-between shades and tones. So, again, I would keep that in mind when buying this particular set. I'd say it's more for beginners learning to get a feel for the Copic Sketch Markers or for those who don't really know where to start in buying Copic Sketch Markers 'cause there are so many. With this set you can get a feel of how to use them and figure out what shade you need to fill in the gaps of the 12 colors. For example: in-between the pink copic (RV [red violet] 11) and the red copic (R08) in this set, there are 26 other copics with varying shades/tones that exist. Imagine roughly that many colors applying for each of the copics sitting next to each other in this set. You can buy this set and see just how light the light blue (B14) is and just how dark the dark blue (B29) is, and figure out if you need something just a bit lighter or a whole lot darker, and then buy those individual colors separately. This way you have the 12 basic colors as a foundation and can add your preference in-between colors yourself. Or, if you are wanting to use these with a more "directed" approach i.e, for flowers only, the sea only, or people only, then maybe this isn't the best set for you. There are floral sets, sea & sky sets, and skin tone specific sets (among others) that may suit you better than this general 12pc set simply by not having to search for/ through so many colors because the above mentioned sets would come with the shades and tones you need. Overall, I really like this set and am quite happy with it, but I wanted to let others to know that this IS a 12pc BASIC set. Emphasis on the basic. I kept reading this when searching reviews before I purchased my own set: That "...this was a BASIC..." And while I was prepared in the fact that these 12 colors were probably not going to be enough, I wanted a solid place to start with when buying these markers. I realized that there were other sets available and that I would probably need skin tones as well as the B&W and gray-scale colors at a later date, but I came to the conclusion that the 12pc Basic Set was good enough for me for now. I don't know if anyone reading this review has done that research and so I just wanted to give a little explanation as to WHY this set would be considered basic for people reading review after review and seeing that these are great markers getting great reviews, but beware, this is a "BASIC" set. I hope this helps~

So I bit the bullet, and bought these Copic Sketch markers, without any experience of coloring with markers. The frost blue (I don't know the specific number right off the top of my head) leaks quite a bit, and almost messed up a picture? I fixed it though with my polychromos once it dried, but my goodness! I have to learn how to properly use these, lol! Aside from my little hiccup there I have taken some time to work on cardstock coloring images, and seems as though they work really well on cardstock type paper so far for me. Once I get more experience with these markers, I am sure it will be fine. Overall though they didn't take long to get here, I believe it was just a couple of days, and I love the fact they're duel tip which is nice for utility purposes, the colors are very vibrant, and easy to blend so long as you do it almost immediately after one color hits the paper, or cardstock. I at this moment have no complaints what so ever, I am really starting to love these markers, and am glad I bought them. They really add some bright/vibrant colors to my basic coloring's that I do.

I love my markers so much. I use them so often and am willing to admit that I now have a Copic addiction. They work so smoothly and blend super well. I'm super glad that I got this pack to start my collection. Now I have about 80-90 markers and really need to stop buying them. It's hard when they work so well. The photo I posted is a drawing I did with copics- the colors in the drawing probably aren't all in the pack but I wanted to show the quality of the markers. If you're on the fence about it just know it is an investment and totally worth it if you use them often. I also love that they are refillable and you can replace the nibs and all that. Super useful and fun to use!

I honestly thought this was going to be a scam since they are on Amazon, but turns out it's legit. I love these markers. I use them for small drawings but I also do marker renderings with them as I am an interior designer. Colors blend great and there is great pigment. Be sure to use a very absorbent paper like watercolor or mixed media to get even results. I just wish they weren't so expensive but it's worth the investment!

These are my goto for my monotone portraits. With this set, you have an entire range of warm gray available, so you'll be able to blend beautifully. I was hesitant at first to invest so much on a set, but I went in knowing I'll be using them a lot and the availability of refills made the decision easy. They are great alone, but even better when combined with cool grays and neutral grays.

I already had the 72 sets A, B, D, E. and finally bought the C set, which means I have all of the colors in the Sketch markers. These are the most wonderful pens/markers I've ever used. The sketch markers have a nib on one side that make them feel like you are using a paint brush and paint. You have to choose the correct color, apply the correct pressure and adjustr each stroke according to what the picture needs. Copic markers are a lifetime purchase. They have a refill system, which costs approximately $6 for each color. These refills last 6 times. The only other wear item is the nib, which you can purchase 6 or 7 in a pack. I've used my Copic almost daily for over a year. I've had to refill about 15 colors during that year.
