I purchased this for use with the Hydro Tools vacuum (see my review on that. GREAT product.) For less than 20 dollars, this a very good value. It seems to be very sturdy, much sturdier than the Intex pole we use for our net. The knob for locking the length is very thick plastic. I expect to get years of use out of it. Con: My wife has problems turning the knob, it takes a bit of effort. We might have to store a pair of pliers out at the pool. UPDATE: 06/17/2014 Our leaf scoop broke, so with the new one, it attaches to this pole instead of the old, much lighter pole. My wife is pretty unhappy with the weight of this pole. She's stated several times that she feels like it is way too heavy for her.

A pole with the vibrant color.

The pole is big, becomes twice as much in size.It is sturdy. The color does not fade after using the pole in the pool and during the extensive stay under rain, wind. I am glad to buy it.

Easy for any pool owner

Easy to use and connects with any plastic claw clip accesories. Easy to extent to the longest lengths and a very reasonable price. I'm a novice pool cleaner and after using this for several months, I now I made the right choice!

Better than expected

Due to the low price I was worried I would get some junky cheap Chinese product. Idk if this is made in China, but I wouldn’t say it’s low quality at all. Probably just as good or better than what you’d get at a pool store for likely much more $$. It’s not top of the line, but I think it’s well worth the $20 I paid.

This is a long product shipped in a very long box!

When I bought this, I misread the length, I thought I was buying a 4-6 foot pole, my bad. I am glad that I did get this though. I have had other poles that are 4-12 feet and they all seem to do the same thing, when they are extended, and trying to get to longer reaches, they start to collapse even if I really tighten them down. This pole DOES NOT have that issue. This lets me get to all parts of the pool with no issues. It feels quite sturdy and would recommend to any pool owner! The person hold the box here is 5' 11"

very well built. The skimmer I bought with this has a very fine screen to catch algae and such from our lakefront that I clean up for swimming with the grandkids. It gets heavy because the water is slow to drain but by holding the the grip near the skimmer it doesn't put pressure on the pole, an easy thing to do. The skimmer is a fine mesh and does pick up even the smallest particles in the lake, it's fantastic. Yes I would recommend and by again, its a good product!

So much longer than I thought

Shipping was fast, packaging was good, quality is awesome... But, WOW, I had no idea it would be so long, lol. Lesson learned, I need to pay attention to measurements. But it’s all good! I can reach all the way across the pool with this pole and not need to bend and strain my back to do it! That’s a win!!!

This came Sunday and it is very nice. Love the blue color

This is my second year owning a pool. The cheap pole that came with my above ground pool crapped out last summer a couple of months after I got it but I managed to get more out of it and the cheap little surface skimmer until last week. This came Sunday and it is very nice. Love the blue color. Seems sturdy and operates smoothly.

Very good price for a well made product

Much less expensive than anything at the big stores and the quality is great. Delivered in a giant box from Amazon without damage. The pole is well made and works great.

What can I say? Its a pole... Works well in my 18x36 23000 gallon in-ground pool. Saw some other reviews of cracked and broken poles. I will keep an eye on it, but honestly I don't see how this pole is more prone to bending than the others I've had. It is a thin walled, aluminum tube. I will handle the weight of a net full of wet leaves. I wouldn't recommend for pole vaulting or using as a pry bar. One word of caution... there is no stop to prevent you from over extending the pole. So if you extend it to its limit, and apply enough weight, you could damage the pole. Common sense...
