It's a chair, not a cane...
These chairs are plenty sturdy and sized for bigger folks. The backrest has a bit of an angle and very comfortable compared to more vertical designs. The reason people seem to be breaking the arms off is because they are designed to hold up your arms - not support an entire body trying to stand. I can use them to steady myself and push away from the chair just fine - but pretty sure if I pushed all 200lbs of myself against them they would bend and break. Duh. As far as the cup holder - seems to hold my koozie just fine. I imagine if I tried one of those old giant foam ones from 1974, it might not fit... It really is a fine camp chair - not too heavy, comes with a bag that has a sling, and the cooler and book holders are awesome additions.

Big Comfy Chair with lots of storage
It's been sometime since we've had camp chairs. I think the last ones we had were ones that I had in my dorm room for extra seating! These, so far (have only used them once, will update after more use) have been great. There's plenty of room in the seat. I can sit crisscross applesauce in it. It's sturdy enough for my kids to sit on my lap without feeling like it will tip, dip, or break. The cooler in the arm keeps things cold for a long while. We left a single bottle of water from our big cooler in over night and it was still cold in the morning even without ice. The pocket in the side is nice to hold books, flashlights, phone, silverware, napkins, and small treasures the kids find when exploring. The cupholder is a standard size. I could fit my travel coffee cup in there with no problems. A thin neoprene can koozie fits as well, the big foam ones won't. We had no issues putting the chairs back in the storage bags. The only thing that Joe feels could make this thing better is a foot rest. So his will now be our oldest's (the Coleman Kids Quad Chair, Teal was a little small for him. He's a tall 7 yr old and the back rest was just a bit short), and we'll look for one with a foot rest for him. One did arrive with a small tear in the storage bag. But I stitched it up and it's held up so far (about 10 times taking out and putting back away).

What a deal!
I was looking for a chair that would be easy to carry, strong enough to hold me and with at least one little accessory. My husband and I are both big people, and I needed a chair that would hold us, sitting upright, and not low to the ground so we can sit comfortably and watch our grandkids ball games. (we are pushing 60 and overweight) This chair is very comfortable. It has not only a cup holder, but a small mesh flap that will hold a cell phone, attached to that another flap for a book and/or magazine, AND on the opposite side, a small cushioned "cooler" pouch that will hold at least 2 soda cans or water bottles. These chairs are great, so glad I ordered 2!

Holds Me Up Just Fine!
This chair is GREAT! I'm anywhere from 245lbs - 275lbs depending on the day of the week, and this chair never gets scared when I go to sit down! The build-in cooler is a nice addition, though I usually end up using it as a waterproof trash can for empty cans instead of putting in full cans - since it would only hold 3 or so when full. When crushed it will hold as many as you can stuff into it. I've purchased 2 of these and sometimes you can find them on Amazon for under $20, so wait for the good deal before purchasing!

We've Owned These Chairs for Over a Year and Still Love Them!
Towards the end of last summer, my husband and I needed to get some new chairs for when we sit outside or go somewhere since our old ones were worn out. I did some searching on here and these were the first ones that stuck out to me. I've known for awhile that the Coleman brand has a good reputation and I was pretty interested in these chairs since they have a lot of features and didn't cost a ton of money. We ended up purchasing the blue chair and the black chair. These oversized chairs are amazing and so comfortable! They are made in China of 100% polyethylene foam. The chairs measure approximately 24 inches wide when set up and 18 inches from the bottom of the legs to where the seat is. They can hold up to 325 pounds and feel very durable. My husband weighs about 350 pounds and he's sat in these with no problems although we bought him a chair that can hold a bit more weight, just in case. Some really cool features of these chairs are: a built-in cooler that can hold 4 cans (I can fit 3 comfortably and I think you could fit one lying on top of the other cans), a mesh cup holder which holds my water bottle, and side pockets which are GREAT for books, phones, and other small accessories like keys, wallets and sunscreen. There is one big pocket and two smaller pockets. These chairs are well-cushioned and so comfortable to relax in. The seat and back are cushioned and the arm rests are wide. The product tag also says the arm heights are adjustable although I've never tried it and the frame is made of strong steel which I definitely believe. The chairs come in a bag with a strap which makes them easy to carry. We've had these chairs for over a year and they are some of my favorite chairs that we've ever owned! I use them a lot during the summer and I've never had a problem with either of the chairs. One of the bags tore a little bit when I was putting a chair back in but that's not a huge deal to me. The tear didn't get any worse over time. Oftentimes I will sit in one chair and set up the other to use as a footrest..wow, is it so comfortable! I could sit in these chairs for hours because they are so comfortable! I don't really use the cooler as a cooler; instead, I just put my water bottle in it since it's a stainless steel one and somewhat heavy. It sticks out of the cooler but that's fine with me since I am just using it for a cup holder. I love the mesh pockets too and always stick my phone, Kindle or book in there when I'm not using them. Overall, I'm so happy I found these chairs because they are some of the best I've found! I feel the price is great for what you get and I like that there are a few different colors to choose from. We've never had a problem with the chairs themselves (only one of the bags) and several of our family members and friends have used them too. If you are looking at purchasing these for outdoor activities, I highly recommend them! They have been a great purchase and I would buy more of them in the future if we need to get more!

FMF Chair = Fat Man Friendly Chair
Best camping chair I've owned. I won't get specific with my dimensions but I'm a pretty big guy. Most chairs you find in stores are designed for skinny people whereas this chair works well with my large body.

Comfy Chair, easy to haul, and cooler is a BONUS!
I bought two of these chairs because the park next to my townhome complex has summer concerts on the lawn. The Coleman Oversized Quad Chairs fit the bill. While I have sat in smaller chairs and have been comfortable, these are more comfortable in the larger size. While I'm far from needing anything "oversized," the size of the chair was really comfortable to lounge in. It was almost like being in an oversized lounge chair! The side pockets were great for napkins and other things you may need, they also can hold the accompanied carry-case. The cooler was also great to hold extra beverages and water on a hot day, and were nice to have so you don't have to go back and forth to any coolers you may have also brought along. When finished, these were easy to pack and light enough to haul back home. Glad I bought 2!

Highly Recommend!
So far, so good. I absolutely love these chairs, (I ordered 2)! I will update with pictures. The width of the seat is nice and slightly cushioned on the seat and backrest. I am about 5'6 and 195 pounds, and hubby is a little heavier than that. I feel secure when I sit and so does he. This is a heavier duty chair, then the $10 dollar ones. I don't feel like I am sinking in to the chair, or that it's going to break. The bag on the side has: 1 large compartment and a mesh cover with 2 sections. Size will fit a magazine and 2 cell phones. The cooler, as others have mentioned, holds a few cans. It has 2 zippers and a velcro strip. The headrest is a little higher than other chairs. The cup holder does seem a little flimsy, but it's a minor problem. Will probably only hold about a 16 oz tumbler, or a big cup that has a narrow bottom. Because of the bags on the side, I did find it rather difficult to get back into the bag. It took some maneuvering and patience, to get it back in. Again, it's rather minor, just need to get the hang of closing it up tight. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, it will serve us well this summer. I paid $16.50 + tax. Highly recommend, and the price was on point. Smaller, cheaper chairs run about the same price or close to it.

Kick back and take a seat,
Wasn't really looking for a magazine pocket or arm mounted drink cooler, but they are nice features to have. After all what man has ever complained about having too many pockets on a pair of cargo pants....none. This is kind of the same thing, but only in a chair. Construction is above par for most folding style recreational chairs. It is generously over sized and constructed with a nice tight fabric of strength to support that oversized load capability. While the color is listed as Black, I would put this more of a brownish/grey darker charcoal. Looks much better in person than what it does in the photo. If your looking for a place to park yourself for awhile, crack open a cold drink or 3 and need a place to store some reading material this is the perfect product to fill your needs.
