I was injurred this July and I purchased this little knitting board and absolutely love it. It help keep be sane during some really stressful moments. I had never knitted before!! I am now on my 5th scarf. . . .yes a bit boring for sure , but I think iam almost ready to venture out to another knitting project!! This has and will continue to be great enjoyment for me.

Great portable loom! :)

I love this loom! It handily fits in a small bag, so I can take projects from place to place with me, which makes sitting at the DMV or doctor's office much more bearable. AND I don't have to use a heavy/thick guage of yarn to make basic projects. I picked up loom knitting after taking an almost two year long hiatus from knitting: my son was proud of unravelling a sock I was knitting and (permanently) hiding a couple of my size 2 double pointed needles (he thought he was helping me and was so proud when he did it). Loom knitting allows me to make small projects (which I plan to either donate or give as gifts) without worrying too much about losing my place or becoming easily demolished when they find their way into the wrong hands. note: after purchasing several other kb looms, we realized the loom we recieved was damaged and previously opened. Bummer. The product will keep a high rating, but we will give the vendor a low rating.

Got it quick. I do a lot of looming and it was the one loom I didn't. I really like the Authentic Knitting Board brand.

A Good Working Tool

This is just the right size to knit a scarf. It fits in my bag along with the yarn, pattern and the tool. I also find that I like the boards with the metal pins instead of the newer boards with the plastic pins.

great for travel and small projects

love my little knitting board. This is great for travel & small projects. My favorite part is the sturdy metal pegs. They are smooth and sturdy which is why it's really suited for taking with you. I can whip up a scarf in an evening since I'm not fighting the plastic peg resistance. If you loom knit- especially scarves or other small items, this is a great board.

Authentic Knitting Board

Being a newbie to the knitting board, I started with the large gauge plastic ones. When I saw the Authentic Knitting Boards and saw the smaller gauge knitting that could be done, I was "hooked." I first bought the 28" thinking that it would run the gamut of projects, but then decided I also needed the 10" for smaller projects. They are top quality and well worth the money. I especially love the hardwood used to create them, with the groove along the pins that makes it easier to get under your yarn for the up and over. I also appreciate the quality in that the tool does not make any scratches or create any roughness in the wood as you grab the yarn. It comes with clear and concise instructions, both written and on a dvd. Another fantastic item regarding these knitting boards in the well thought out design, is you can use any gauge yarn because it's adjustible. In addition to all the above, it came well wrapped to guard against damage and arrived a day earlier than estimated! Amazon is terrific!

Great beginning loom

Love learning how to knit using this loom. Not too small or big. Wish the side bars had more versatility— only move 2 ways— not three ( screws too short).

Great for travel!

Perfect compact size for a double knit scarf. Same gauge as the 18" All In One Loom.

Great Size and great quality

I got this to work on a 10 stitch blanket. I took it apart so I just had one rail and the blanket is coming along nicely. It's a good size to hold and work on the stitches since for a 10 stitch blanket you only have 10-11 live stitches at one time
