They are just adorable! They are not very big but I like that. They are so cute on my screened in porch. During the day the shell is a pretty yellow/orange color and at night the light is wonderful. Very happy! Update: after 2 weeks they are already broken. They are in full sun all day. But they only stay lit for 2 hours.

As soon as it arrived I took off the plastic covering the solar panel, turned it on and placed it in the sun. Come dusk nothing. I thought maybe there was a pull tab that I didn't see. I checked and no pull tab. I again pushed the on/off tab to the right to the on position and nothing. Then something told me to push in the on/off tab. Wa la!! All the turtles were lit up! Most of the solar powered items I've purchased you push the on/off tab to the right or left. I was so happy that it did work even though it's cute as a button all on it's own. It is just the right size and is adorable! I have it by my mailbox and it puts out enough light to softly illuminate the bunny and squirrel statues around it. Placed by a garden pond it would look amazing. I cannot recommend this product highly enough! You won't be disappointed.

For a $10 solar light, I love this! I got this for my mother for mother's day and really wanted to keep it for myself! The turtles are adorable! The facts: Yes, it is little, but the descriptions tells you that. Yes, the battery is glued to the bottom, but it seems pretty secure to me, and is not visible. Yes, it will probably fade in the sun, but even lighter colored turtles are cute! It has been about a month and they're still burning strong, however, if the lights do ever burn out, it still makes a cute, and cheap garden decoration, so I say it's a win-win! Update: over a year later, they're still lighting up! Very satisfied with this purchase. The yellow did fade, but they're still cute.

This is the second one we've had. The first lasted about two years before it was damaged. It's a nice addition to our Koi pond. The lights last longer if they have a full day of sun, but recently after a cloudy day, they still burned around six or seven hours. I've read some negative reviews, but the lights work, the switch works, and I'm pleased ... for the second time.

I love my turtle display. It's a little small, but it looks really cute when the lights are on. It's a beautiful addition piece to any garden. It is not ceramic, but I guess that's good for families that have little ones.

Arrived in one piece (I was concerned because of other reviews that had broken heads). Battery was already charged so I was able to take it into the hall bath, to make sure all turtles light up, they did. One turtle had a bead of silicone on the shell that I was able to pick off. It was about the size of a BB. However if you have ever worked w/ silicone that's not bad (that stuff is mess-y, LOL). Paint job is good but not awesome, but most times they aren't in yard ornaments. Almost all of my yard ornaments have had to be repainted in 6 months - 1 year, no matter the brand, material or where I make the purchase. Smaller than stated, but I expected it because of other reviews that stated such. I am uploading images of the measurements, close ups of the faces and it glowing in my darkened bathroom. Once I have it set up where I'm placing them I will add that photo as well (working on that area now). As I do w/ most my reviews, I will update as time goes by, good or bad. April of 2014 - Turtles continue to light up nightly even after a year of being in the weather. Have yet to change the batteries. These poor turtles have had a time of it, from being knocked into the pond by squirrels and being submerged for several hours. Said squirrels also knocked it over several more times. Recently, because of becoming brittle from the weather ... when the dastardly squirrels knocked it over AGAIN 2 of the shells had pieces broken out of them. I figured they would stop working w/ all the rain we have been getting the past year and the holes in the shells, but NOPE they still faithfully glow almost all night long. The paint has faded as I expected. I will order a new one when the price drops again. I may repaint the old onnes and move them into the house in my kitchen window when I do.

My wife was skeptical when I ordered this. "Just more cheap junk in the yard!" But when it came and I put it outside, she fell in love with these three little guys on a log, especially when it lit up without having to spend three days in the sun charging--worked right out of the box. Now, how long it will last outside in the summer will be another story, but it was certainly worth what it cost.

3 Turtles: 3 Reasons I LOVE this...1) The shells light up quite brightly and is rustic/real (not animated) so perfect for an outdoor fish pond. 2) I could see the shells lit up from inside my house looking out my front window. This is a first. I thought I'd only see them when walking in from the outside, but they are bright enough that I can enjoy at night from indoors. 3) The PRICE! I can't remember the price now, and when I saw them, I said, "yay" out loud and thought, "Oh I want another....I hope this wasn't too pricey. When I saw what I paid, I thought, "Yes! So inexpensive for what you get. It's not just that the shells light up so nicely, it's a fine piece of artwork in the daylight. I doesn't look cheap, in my opinion, and I'm quite picky.

This is small but it was the size I expected according to the description. Each turtle lights up brightly which is delightful and has given me a start at creating a whimsical focal point near my patio. I've had this for about a month and it is lighting steadily every night. I've had to face the solar panel towards the east since south is blocked and so is west for most of the day yet it does stay lit for 4 hrs. I may paint the turtle faces, perhaps glue something reflective to their eyes. This is a great addition to anyone's garden. I did see what looks like a gap between turtle shell and it's attachment to the body. I am going to have to use glue because I am afraid dust/moisture coulld seep in. I'm glad I finally purchased this fun animal solar item that I'd looked at for weeks before putting it in the cart and click!. I did not receive a discount/purchase to review this item.

Cute in garden. Lights up amber glow at dark. Love this piece.
