Best I've used so far
This is my 3rd digital tire gauge. I like it better than the others, which were the Accutire brand, because: - Non-slip texture makes it easy to hold onto - LED light makes it really easy to use in the dark - Easily forms a seal with the valve stem to get an accurate read on the first try (this was my main gripe with other gauges I've used) - Awesome price! I'm not sure what else one would need from a tire gauge, so this one gets an A+. **UPDATE** As of 6/18/2013, this thing is still working perfectly, even though I've dropped it a dozen times. Also still using the original battery. Others I've used seem to drain the battery, regardless of how often I use it. I'd mention the battery manufacturer, but I'd hate to be accused of working for Duracell--OOPS! **2nd UPDATE** As of 8/7/2014 it still works great, and, no joke, STILL using the original battery.

this Tekton 5941 is the Tire Pressure Gauge you're looking for!
really easy to use digital tire pressure gauge, the TEKTON 5941 Digital Tire Gauge, 100 PSI makes checking your tire pressures quick and easy. I like to use my own gauge, rather than relying on the (frequentlty inaccurate) pressure guages at the gas station. I used to use a brass mechanical gauge, which was awkward to use. This TEKTON 5941 Digital Tire Gauge, 100 PSI is a snap to use, and being able to cycle to euro measurements (Bar, Kilopascals) makes life easier when filling tires on my euro vehicles which state pressures in Bar or kpa. It finds the reading easily, and the blue light makes it easy to find the valve in dim light. I'd like a larger display, but mustn't grumble as the price is excellent. No Jedi mind tricks here, this is the Tire Pressure Gauge you're looking for. Recommended.

Excellent customer service
I had purchased this product near the end of 2017 and its battery had died on me early 2019. I read that the batteries are replaceable by removing the back cover. The four required batteries (two types), CR2032 x1 and LR44 x3, aren't usually something you may have lying around but no big deal to go out and purchase from a local store. My issue came up in the revelation that one of the screws to my back cover was stripped. I'm unsure if the tool came like this or it was a product of my own mishandling while attempting to remove the back cover. Either way I reached out to TEKTON to see if they could help me. CSR Dave assisted me in sending out a brand new 5941 unit, free of charge, after I had explained the issue I was running into and the (very) minor inconvenience of having to get new batteries specifically for this tool. I understand that most of this review deals with the customer service of TEKTON rather than the actual tool itself. It's a standard digital tire gauge with a helpful blue illumination. Nothing fancy and gets the job done. If you're looking for something simple then buy this. You're really buying into excellent customer service should you need it and I'll be looking at TEKTON branded products more.

A must have tool. Period.
Recently on a road trip I ran over a nail and I plugged it immediately but for some weird reason my TPMS wasn't lit and I then felt stupid for not having a tire gauge as there were no near by gas stations with air compressor to see how much of air I lost already. So I urge everyone to get one because you never know when you might need it. About the product; the reading is spot-on with 30 second auto off feature, build quality is good and there is light on both the display and at the nozzle which will surely help at night, It would have been great if there is a separate light switch as I don't feel the need for it during day time. It can gauge in 4 different metrics and remembers the previous setting. PSI Bar kPa kg/cm2 It runs on battery and seems like replaceable by unscrewing two screws at the back. It takes 1 CR 2032 for the display and 3 LR44 for the gauge to function. This should easily last of years. One thing though, the PSI reading increments by .5 and this ain't a issue for me but it might concern others. I'm not pulling out a star for this as it does not affect me. Over all I'm very much satisfied with the purchase and I'll be using it every week to just monitor the tire pressure.

Great product and you have more options for the same hardware
This tire pressure gauge is great and very accurate. I checked it against much more expensive models. Also, it is the exact same unit as Tacklife TG01 Classic, so buy whichever one is cheaper or has the color you like. See pictures where I took them apart to verify the same parts on the inside as well. Sometimes the shell can be the same, but with different interior parts. These two are duplicates with different names.

It seemed like the most frequently purchased type offered now are the ...
I used to have a old manual type tire gauge until it got taken out of my car. It seemed like the most frequently purchased type offered now are the digital ones, and the reviews seemed good so I got this one. You do have to click through the different units types to ensure you are seeing the one you want (mostly just checking the PSI) but it does seal nicely to the inflation hub on the tire; that had been a problem with the manual type, as you would have to fiddle with it to get it to seal on to check properly. Seems to be doing what it's supposed to do, and is a nice attractive color as well, so I'm happy with it.

Small display but well lit
OK, I'm 67 at this writing and seeing stuff is interesting. But any analog or digital device requires readers for me so the size of the display isn't an issue. I like that I don't have to figure out which "10s" I'm in - is it 40 or 50? It mounts the valve stem very well - not sure why someone needs a light, maybe they are reading a map at the same time, multitasking. Now, is it accurate? Not having a standard of weights and measures handy, hard to tell. My inflater is off by 5-8 psi with my trucks TPS display and my TPS is in sync with Discount Tire. This gauge is within 1 or 2 psi of Discount, so I'd say it is accurate. It is more important that your tires be within 1 or 2 psi of each other than a certain psi as long as you are not severely under or over inflated. I run my Load Range E tires at 50 psi (they are rated for 85 psi) and get good, even tread wear. So, if I fill my tires at home and they are around 50 - 55 I'm happy. I've not had any issues other than the learning curve and "where is the damn thing" both of which are my personal issues. Haven't had to change the batteries but it looks like it takes a few from another reviewer's photo. Having a TPS in the truck kinda makes a tire gauge obsolete for random checks. I'll buy two more to have in my other, older trucks. Live long and prosper.

The lighted end is great when checking my tire pressure outside at night
I've owned this gauge for almost 2 years now and it works very well. The lighted end is great when checking my tire pressure outside at night. The angled head works great on my 3 motorcycles (the main reason I bought it), and the fact that it stores the pressure reading long enough to read it without having it attached to the wheel is another great feature. It seems as accurate as my $60 mechanical gauge and I've read pressures as low as 15 and as high as 90 psi. It has auto shutoff and still on original battery at this time. Also nice is that you can take a reading, adjust pressure, and take another reading without having to wait for the gauge to return to zero. If the pressure is high you can hold the unit in such a way that it will bleed off pressure from the valve and when you push it back on straight it will give the new reading. You can easily switch between scales by pressing the button on the front but I just use PSI for my checks.

Junk
Junk, used sparingly over a year then it stopped working, save your money and get a trusty "thermometer" type tire pressure reader, they are accurate, don't need batteries, and reliable. EDIT 1/6/2018 Tekton saw this review and promptly sent a new replacement tire gauge. Since the tire gauge works well and they have excellent customer service I have changed my review to 5 stars. They really stand behind their products.

Great, Lightweight and Accurate - Plan to Buy More!
Great pressure gauge! I'm really happy with how it works so far. Reads the same as 3 other gauge, both digital and old school mechanical. Light and lighted dial are really handy in the dark. I wish it were easier to lock it into PSI, as it is easy to accidentally switch it to other units. You can take reading after reading without waiting 30 seconds or turning it off. Lightweight and fits even large hands well. As for shutting it off... You can wait 30 seconds for the auto shutoff - OR - hold down the trigger button for 10 seconds. That shuts it off on demand. I will buy more for my other cars.
