This fireplace screen is quite good looking. The installation was pretty easy, in spite of a couple of aspects of our fireplace that hindered installation (Don't worry folks it's the right kind of fireplace, it just had a wooden mantel installed over and around the previous fireplace screen that made some of the inner depths too large for the hardware provided.). One small issue we have is with the glass doors. They have to be forced closed because, even after trying to adjust them, the doors on the right side cannot be slid far enough to the right to make them fit properly. Eventually, my husband will make the holes a bit larger by filing them which will then make it possible to slide the doors to where they need to be and then they'll be perfect. Notice I'm not complaining about that? That's because for $235 there's absolutely nothing to complain about with this product and everything to love about it. One more thing: the docs that are posted on Amazon are wrong. The user manual states that the overall width is 38 5/8". That's wrong. That wouldn't fit my fireplace within that wooden mantel that I have. We contacted the manufacturer who confirmed that the total width of the screen is 37.5 as it is shown on the photo with measurements.

I absolutely love these fireplace doors! They look great!! I am extremely happy with them! I have attached a before and after photo. I would absolutely recommend these doors to anyone looking to upgrade their fireplace. I love how the screen is magnetic and they won't jam like my old screen did. It didn't take long for the contractor to install them for me either. Very impressive!

We looked at three different fireplace and hearth / patio stores and every cover with the hinged door screens was over $500 all the way to $2000. We didn't care about fancy metal scroll work, or custom sizes, what we did care about though was as much glass as possible and hinged screen doors rather than the screen curtain. This delivered above expectations, installation was easy and it is extremely solid and well built. has flexible installation hardware to suit almost any fireplace, measure twice and pick the right size for your opening. We are very happy with it.

I am very impressed with the quality of this fireplace trim. I really like that it comes complete with almost no assembly other than attaching the handles. In my case the fireplace was being remodeled and modified, so I adapted the included installation hardware to suit my needs, bolting the unit in with masonry lags rather than using the thumb screws that simply press against the sides and top, then running stacked stone trim right up to the edge of the outside trim to give the fireplace a real custom look. I would definitely recommend the fireplace kits from this company

I spent a couple of years looking for glass doors to fit the small stone fireplace in our 100 year old farmhouse. After finally finding this one, I bought it. What a happiness. It’s what I wanted: plain black, no brass or brass tone decor, easy to work, and a good fit in my irregular, laid by hand fireplace. The glass doors and mesh screen both use magnets to close neatly and get a good seal. If this screen can fit your fireplace, don’t hesitate to buy it. I’m very happy with ours. I can’t speak to the installation as my builder put it in. However, he didn’t mention any difficulty.

I did not personally install so I cannot comment on how easy it is to install. I hired someone as I wanted it right he first time. This was installed on a standard size fireplace that was converted into gas. I'm not interested in running the fireplace with the doors closed so the negative reviews about not being able to, was moot to me. The doors work WAY better then the prior "sliding" doors and the mesh screen works great as well. The fit was perfect and the look was even better! This totally makes the room as the prior was bronze color and outdated. This gives the entire room additional "updated" appearance for our remodel.

I had been looking to replace our fireplace screen with a nice set of doors for a couple of years now. I had visited a couple of local fireplace stores and seen some nice doors with prices of $1000 or more plus installation charges. I heard about these doors being sold on Amazon and from the reviews they sounded great so I took a chance and ordered a set and decided to surprise my wife for Christmas. After she went to sleep I set to work install in the doors. They were extremely well packaged. In fact I think the bulk of the time I spent installing them was spent opening the box and unwrapping the parts. From there the installation itself was pretty easy. The next morning everyone saw the new doors and said they looked high end and custom. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice set of glass doors. Best price and free shipping on Amazon. Home Depot carries the same set in-store if you want to look at the display. Fairly easy to install, but purchase the following to go with it: - Rutland 500-Degree RTV High Heat Silicone Seal - Rutland Fireplace Insert Insulation Fiberglass Looks amazing.

I purchased these doors to conserve heat and to keep the smell from after use from lingering throughout the house. It does the job! Very easy to assemble. However the top beam of my fireplace is much wider than the two upper mounting brackets given. The instructions gave an alternative that I was not comfortable with. So I thought of a better way By using a flat bracket between the given brackets to extend them to mount the unit. An easy fix to the problem.

My house had an old, brass fireplace surround that was falling apart. The glass doors continually got stuck on the tracks and the whole thing just looked, well, old. Long story short, I ordered this based on the positive reviews and could not be happier that I did. I'm far from handy; I am a first time homeowner slowly learning how to do basic repairs. This took me ~ 45 minutes to install, but for folks who've done similar projects before I imagine it'd take more like 15 minutes. It looks amazing, feels sturdy, and the quality is clearly high. My wife is still in shock, both due to the transformation of our fireplace and the fact that I was able to do it myself.
