I am so glad I got this unit. I had purchased one of the smaller hand held cassette to MP3 converters, but the motor was too weak to handle 60 minute tapes. This one can handle it easily! The quality is good and I am very pleased.

Finally I am able to play all my cassette tapes i have had since i was a teenager. Sound quality is great. I hooked system up to my old stereo and it has been working fantastically. No problems playing 25 -30 yr old cassettes. I love it.

We bought this double cassette player/recorder to replace one that was more than 30 years old because we have a big library of cassettes, it hooked up easily to our stereo system and is just what we were looking for. I am looking forward to transferring some music to my computer.

I purchased my PT659Du Double Cassette Recorder from Pyle because I saw that the product reliability and ratings on Amazon were the best in class for this unit. I also purchased from Pyle Audio because they offered a full 1-year warranty. The 659DU is easy to use, has great sound, and has a very comprehensive software system to transfer cassettes to my computer using a myriad of file types. I highly recommend this cassette player/recorder/file transfer system!

I liked it a lot, I have a ton of cassettes made from old radio PBS programs, classical mostly, however I only tried it a few times, and never got back to my project of re-doing my tapes. So when I did, it wouldn't turn on. Clearly passed the warranty stage, but barely used. I was wondering if anyone may know if I can get it repaired? could it be a fuse or something easy to replace ?it sat here for a year and a half before i used it again and it wouldn't tun on. Before that I totally loved it !!!!!

I bought one of these units for the purpose of copying my old, and well loved, cassettes into my computer. I had a much older unit, but it had outlived it's useful life. It worked wonderfully for me, the way that I was used to doing it, audio out to microphone input. I do agree with other reviewers who say that the USB interface does only provide mono copying, but I don't use that so I really don't care. The one thing that I wish it had was auto-reverse, but I can also live without that. Nevertheless, I am one happy buyer.

I am a pastor and I use this to listen to the sermon recordings of my service and for making copies if anyone else would like one of the sermon that day.

So far, so real Good, I'm back in the saddle again, yeah! Hey, if you are reading this, can you please do me a favor and see if my comment is still here. Thanks a lot! Your welcome.

We have many tapes and no player. This one will play the tapes and convert the tapes to CD format. It was the only one I could find to do what I want. Checked with Best Buy and searched the web before I purchased this one. Now we will be able to enjoy the music of years past rather then having the tapes sit and collect dust.

What a find! My wife and I love this piece of equipment, as we revamped our audio and visual system.
