Works magnificently!

I was a bit concerned after reading other reviews that this wouldn't work, would leak, etc. but this little fountain is fabulous. Yes, it stops working when the sun is not shining, which is what you'd expect from something with no battery. Packaging was very impressive--high quality cardboard, strapping material to prevent shifting, and all necessary equipment included. Thrilled with my purchase!

Great Gift!

This is utterly fabulous! I ordered it for my husband for Father's Day (we couldn't wait to open it), and set it up on a stand on our south-facing deck. Because it is almost above tree line, my guy stuck the solar panel in earth in a planting pot. Works great! As long as the sun is out, the water burbles happily from the fish's mouth. Very Japanese-looking. LOVE THIS!

Beautiful addition to the garden

I purchased this winsome fountain early this summer so I have had ample time to observe its performance. First, the fountain arrived carefully and securely packed, nothing broken. The color was true to the description, a rich cobalt blue enhanced by a clear glaze. The instruction sheet included was clear and easy to follow and I was able to hook everything up in no time. I placed the fountain in a flower bed which is bordered by a wooden fence, and the fence proved to be the perfect spot on which to attach the solar panel. I was able to hide the cable from the panel to the fountain within the foilage of the flower bed. Although the solar panel does not store energy as long as it is placed in an area that receives direct sun it will work just fine. I am also impressed with the pump. On a couple of occasions I neglected to completely refill the fountain but no damage was apparent, as soon as I added water the pump kicked right in. Hearing the cheerful gurgling of the water spouting out of the koi's mouth into the fountain basin has added much beauty and enjoyment to my garden. I am delighted with this purchase.

Still going strong

I've had this fountain for 3 1/2 years and it is still going strong. I am using the original pump and solar panel. I love it when it is going and am very happy with my purchase. It is a nice addition to my small patio.

Beautiful blue fountain

We ordered 2, one for my daughter. The birds come to bath ^ drink. Only thing to remember is that it is small which allows it to sit on small table or fountain stand. If the sun is shining, dolphin blowing water, otherwise, no which is fine with me. Wrens very happy ...the extreme heat has evaporated alot of h20, needs to be filled everyday. And I'm happy with ot!!

Solar panel works in my greenhouse

I love this little fountain, I bought it to use inside my greenhouse. I was able to set the solar panel up inside the greenhouse just under the roof and it runs fine when the sun is out. We live on the coast in Washington and the rainy salt air wrecks almost anything that is outside so I was really happy that the panel gets enough sun through the greenhouse roof panels.

Adorable fountain for small spaces and DIY's

I ordered this to compliment a small 6'x10' garden area in my front yard. I am hoping that the moisture will attract some toads for my yard and toad house Esschert Design Toadhouse. First off, I love that it is solar operated. No wiring to run, simple and easy. Yes, it will only run when it has sunlight, as it says in the description. Even if you lean over and block the panel, it will stop pumping. Be sure you have a nice open area to place it. The bowl and fish is a beautiful ceramic blue. It holds perhaps a gallon of water (I used my daughters sand bucket to fill it and it took 1 1/2). The assembly was fairly straight forward, although attaching the spout to the pump too a bit of creative license. I didn't see anyway to insert the tube into the hole while it was attached to the pump, so I simply positioned it and slid the tube down afterwards. Same thing with the fish, which is also ceramic. The directions indicate that you just slide it on, over a little foam stopper called a "bung", however, the fish is made like a teapot lid, you must have it positioned sideways to have these little side bumps line up up with the hole in the base, so that took a little careful finagling, but it is certainly not difficult nor time consuming. I would say I was set up within ten minutes. The item is very attractive and works as indicated. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend. Read the size and imagine it in your layout, and you will not be disappointed.

I love this fish fountain. I bought it after a friend mine had such luck with hers. She’s had hers for well over 5 years now. I’m on about 3 years now. Still on the same pump and solar panel. I will definitely be purchasing another one soon for another part of the garden. It is perfect!
