I got this because one of my outside faucets was before the pressure regulator for the house. If I left a hose connected with the water on, it would blow a hole in the hose within a day. A few hours if it was a hot day! I recently got an Orbit sprayer to keep animals out of my garden and it had to be hooked up all the time, with the water on. After going through two hoses, I found this product. It reduces the water pressure, you can easily tell it's got less pressure. Since installing it, no blown hoses. Great product.

It seems to work? I am not really sure because I do not record the fluctuations in my water pressure. I mean, if the input pressure fluctuates wildly, the pressure at my faucet seems stable. So I believe that it works . But still, how would I know? Never really thought about it, just seemed like a good idea, so the peace of mind is working for me thusly, in that sense, it works beautifully. So......there's that.

When the water pressure in our motor coach decreased, we did not know whether to attribute it to low pressure from the source, a faulty regulator, a clogged hose or a spent water filter. We decided to replace the regulator as a step in locating and fixing the problem. We found this one with the gauge--offered on the same Amazon page as the simple regulator. For the extra few bucks, this seemed to be the way to go. Now the source pressure is not an unknown. We think it was a good choice. And the gauge and regulator have been working just fine. (Turns out the filter needed to be changed out. We were not expecting such an easy solution. It seemed too soon for a filter change, but the water must have been extra thick at the previous park we were at.)

Used this baby on my new R-Vision tag trailer. RV has the new plastic plumbing and am a bit skeptical of it's integrity. Went on vacation to Montana, stayed in an RV park for two months. Like a lot of parks they boost their pressure to over 60 lbs. Set it on 45 lbs checking it daily- right on. Irrigating the lawn was tenants job and the regulator kept the pressure on the sprinkler from getting water on my and the neighbors rigs. Good unit, priced right and of course the usual excellent Amazon service.

Love this! Works as advertised. The very first site I used it on it was a life saver as the pressure was off, so after making an adjustment to about 45 the water was coming out perfect! Wonderful product!! Must have for the regular RV'ers like myself. I have it hooked up to the Water filter bought here on Amazon.

For some reason the front water spigot was plumbed before the house water pressure regulator and I was always blowing up sprinklers. Finally got a water pressure meter and discovered that the unregulated water pressure to that one spigot topped out at 157psi. Bought this Camco RV Inline Water Pressure Regulator attached it to the water spigot and retested with the meter on the output end of this regulator. 60psi on the nose as advertised. (note: photos show lower before and after readings. Evidently, city water pressure is less after dark for some reason)

My irrigation water pressure is 60+psi and has a tendency to blow up hoses. I have been using the plastic pressure regulators intended for drip irrigation since they are so cheap, but they have a tendency to fail unexpectedly and don't always give a constant pressure. This one is more expensive, but much higher quality and has been working flawlessly for 6 months. I've ordered two more for the rest of my faucets in the yard.

Never had one before.. after having my last 4 hoses swell up like an anaconda that just ate a small child, then burst, leaving me to roll back to a camper with a huge mud puddle around it, or worse yet, a kitchen sink faucet that literally popped off from the pressure! Picture this(true story) you go to the beach for the afternoon, you return to your camper to find that the 160 psi water hookup blew apart your kitchen faucet, and it's been running for 5 hours.. there is a waterfall coming out your door.. the membrane on the bottom of your camper is full of water. You hate life! You should have just used a regulator. Just get one. Campsite water pressure is so unpredictable. Even the nicest campers are built like crap. Don't blow apart your pex piping because you Were too cheap to buy a regulator.

This has been keeping my delicate RV water pipes safe for over three years now. I've found the threading, machining and gauge quality to be relatively high and have not had any leak issues with the threading. I like the way the gauge allows me to see pretty much exactly where I am with water pressure coming into the trailer. I like it much better than the regulators without gauges because my thinking is there is no need to guess or compromise on something as important as the integrity of the water system in my trailer. I've used this at various hook-up sites to regulate the water pressure. Generally, the pressure that is put out by the site determines where the gauge is going to read and it generally reads around the middle - low green area. Sometimes when running the water in the RV, it will drop into the yellow. I think that's about ideal as it is telling me that the load on my delicate, plastic RV pipes and fittings is minimal but still providing all the water pressure for all the trailer needs including enough for a shower.

I wish that amazon could go through and post some of the current reviews of this product, rather than letting all the negative ones show up in the main body, but on to MY review. I like this regulator, no, it doesn't have numbers on it Yes it does work! You can hook this up to a hose bib crank the lever up and you can see at a glance from a few feet away if the pressure is where it should be. We used it on a leaky hose bib spraying water all over the regulator and it never gave us one iota of a problem and still works great. Good price fast shipping, everything you expect from Amazon and Camco!
