used for a wll mounted ironing board

I had a Techline wall-mounted ironing board installed in our master closet and the padding that was provided wasn't very thick and the grid from the ironing board would show thru on the item that was being ironed. this was longer than needed, but was able to very easily cut it to the length needed. It's very good quality- as if it was being used by a professional seamstress. My only request is that it would be available in the actual size needed for the fold-up ironing boards like mine (and I am sure others do as well) so it didn't need to be trimmed and fit more exact on the width. (I had to wrap some excess on the width underneath- but it worked fine).

Perfect, but you need 2 for thickness

This pad is WONDERFUL, but it is NOT 1/2 inch thick. It is potentially a quarter-inch thick, so if you are really looking for heavy padding, you'll want to order two. I'm ordering my 2nd one right away. The front & ends have pockets for holding it in place, so the Dritz Ironing Board Cover Fasteners are not needed with this product. The way the pockets are shaped, it is easy to install, and it will be easy to install a 2nd one directly on top of it. I highly recommend Ritz Professional Treated Natural Cotton Ironing Board Cover with Drawstring Closure to go with it. It is roomy, and will accommodate 2 pads. Plus, the pad very clearly states not to use any synthetic fiber covers with it. Enjoy!

Best cover in the world.

I hadn't purchased an ironing board cover in several years. I wanted one coated with silicone like my old one. I also wanted a larger than standard size for my large ironing board. I read reviews that said fitting it over the board with the drawstring was difficult to manage for some people. I have arthritis in my hands, so I found a simple solution to this problem. I purchased the ironing cover hooks and I simply sewed the tip or narrow end with a few stitches to the pad underneath so it would fit snugly. I only needed two additional hooks, since the cover comes with one that holds the middle snugly. Now it was a perfect fit. The padding is thick. I ironed a blouse as soon as I had the new cover on the ironing board and it made ironing faster and easier. This is the best ironing board cover I've purchased in 20 years. I recommend it highly.

My ironing board cover was still in good shape, but it was too thin

My ironing board cover was still in good shape, but it was too thin. When I would iron I needed a towel over it so that I wouldn't get indents in the fabric from the ironing board. When I stumbled upon this, I was hopeful that I would finally be able to utilize the entire ironing board for my ironing--instead of sticking to where my towel covered the board. I put the pad on and slipped the cover on top. Smooth sailing from then on! So glad I found this.

Thick pad makes ironing much easier!

Instead of throwing out my whole ironing board, I decided to find a better pad and cover for it, or get a new board all together. When I came across this Ritz Professional ironing board pad and cover I thought I could turn that old board of mine and give it some new life. This is the best ironing board pad and cover I've ever used. The pad is very thick and gives a nice cushion for steam ironing, which I do every day. I thought it was pretty pricey but for what you get, it's worth every penny. I was lucky enough to purchase it on Amazon for much less due to the package being damaged. I was going to throw the packaging away anyhow!

Quality Ironing board cover and pad

This is so much nicer than the only ironing board cover I could find at my local big discount store. I gave away the last cheap one I bought as it was thin and the padding was a thin layer of foam. So I found this one on Amazon and I am very pleased. It comes with a separate, substantial pad and both are of good quality like the ones my mother used to have on her ironing board. I expect these to last way longer than four months which was the result with the former cheap one I bought. I am a happy housewife now and I don't mind ironing occasionally. The package arrived promptly and in good condition. I highly recommend this pad and cover!

Great Quality and thickness

This ironing board pad is nicer than anything I have ever owned. I have starched and ironed my husband's clothes for twenty years and I always used the pads that were sewn in with the covers. Wal-Mart and Target's products are what I had always bought but this product surpasses what they sell. I never knew buying something online was so far superior than what could be found in a box store. I would encourage anyone who irons frequently to purchase this pad because it will definitely do what it was made for, padding the surface underneath the cover. It is sewn extra thick and quilted. I wish I had known about this product long ago. I also purchased the Ritz Professional Ironing Board Cover to use with this pad and I reviewed that item on amazon.com as well. The only caution I would give is some poorly made covers may not fit well over this so either buy the Ritz cover or one that you know is manufactured for the right length and width. I have a standard 54" by 14.5" ironing board that I purchased from Wal-Mart and it fit perfectly.

Quality pays for itself

Best ironing board pad and cover yet and worth every penny. Very well padded and absorbent. By spraying water on the cover before beginning, you get the benefit of steam from top and bottom and ironing goes faster. You can't do that with a polyester or other synthetic covers. It's well made and washable. With proper care, this should be the last pad and cover I’ll ever need to buy. Thank you, Ritz Professional.

Highly recommend.

This is a nice thick quality pad. The padding is great for ironing board. It prevents any kinds of x marks and diamonds from underneath your ironing board. I really needed this pad because too many of the clothes we had were getting ruined. This is an excellent pad and it fit my ironing board perfectly.

Cadillac of Pads and Covers

This is a real thick, well made ironing board pad and cover. Until I saw this pad and cover I didn't realize how flimsy other ones were. The pad particularly is thick, cotton I think, not fluffy microfiber. The cover is also thick, amply sized with a sturdy drawstring. This makes ironing completely different, the iron moves easier and quicker and the garment is cushioned by the thicker pad. I highly recommend this pad and cover set.
