This is SO much better than regular AA batteries or rechargeable AA batteries for Wii controllers. I did not like constantly buying new batteries for the Wii so I tried the Energizer Recharge rechargeable batteries. I don't like being wasteful and they seemed like a better option. The only problem is that they are a slightly lower voltage and they had to be changed daily. So every day we were swapping batteries. I was looking for lithium batteries for the Wii controllers when I found this. They hold a charge for a good 4-5 days of medium use and charge up quickly. I do have the soft covers on my Wii controllers and you have to remove the covers to charge. This is a much more functional and environmentally sound battery option.

Well worth the money!

When I first received these, they did not hold a charge at all. I contacted the seller and they quickly sent me a replacement with no questions asked. The replacement works well. It charges fast and holds a charge for about 5 hours or so. This product is definitely worth the money and thanks to the seller for resolving my issue quickly!

So far so good

Definitely worth the $10. The charging station is small and compact. When charging the color changes from blue to red. This is good because when the station moves at all the controllers can come unconnected with the charger and you may have to nudge them back into place. This has so far felt to me like a non-issue. Batteries fit well. One I had to push firmly in, the other slid in easily. As you can see from photos the charging station is plugged into the Wii to provide power via the USB port on the back of the Wii. The cord is short (see pictures for scale) but not unreasonable, as long as you are keeping it within a foot and a half of the Wii this actually help for the cord to not become tangled due to excessive length. I assume I can plug the cord into an appropriate USB wall charger if I needed to for any reason. I have to roll up the silicone sleeves on my remotes to charge them. I'm fine with this. I have other remote sleeves that are easier to get on and off than the ones pictured. In that case I just remove the sleeve all together.

Product paid for itself in the first week.

We where tired of purchasing batteries at ridiculous prices for the Wii remotes. It was frustrating and costly. Whenever we need a remote to play there was always an issue as to why we had to dump more and more batteries into them. We got to the point that the game console wasn't being used as often cause of this, and our kiddos where bummed. This was our solution to this problem and boy are we happy with it. This dual charging dock is great in size and doesn't take up much room. The vibrant blue color let's you know your remotes are charged. A red light indicates the remote is charging when placed on the device. It's uncomplicated cradle snuggly holds the remotes in an up right position for charging. Simple enough for my 2 and 4 year old to put the remotes back after use. Battery charges 2 to 4 times longer then the double A batteries. The product paid for its self within the first week of having it. Kids are happy and mom and dad are happy to not be spending money on tons of batteries.

Great Compact Charger

This charger fills those batteries up super quick, and the light around the point you set your Wii-motes in to tell you the charge status is handy. What I like the most about this charger base is the fact that it is half the size of the only we originally bought for the Wii from Energizer a few years ago.

Very good batteries for a even better price

Great product for the price fits snug in all wii remotes i have and batterys are still going strong up until today!! I dont know how long a battery will go with out charge tho because the remotes sleep on the dock but i do know when their fully charged they last until the next week end and works fine friday to sunday and then friday to sunday again.

Great way to save batteries!

This is a great product to have, especially for the frequent Wii gamer. I hate using batteries that can’t be recharged, so this product is excellent. You slip off the original backing and it comes with a replacement backing with the rechargeable power pack. This is an extra bonus if you have a Wii controller without the backing (which we did), as it replaces it totally. The lights change color according to the “charge status,” so you know when your controllers are ready. From what I’ve seen, it charges pretty quickly and the charge holds for quite a while (although we always just put the controllers back on, even if they aren’t dead, so I’m not really sure how long it holds a charge for before it needs to be recharged). When we first plugged in the dock and started charging the remotes, the lights flashed from blue to red, blue to red, almost as if it wasn’t charging correctly, but after a few minutes of that, it went to a solid red (charging), then eventually to a solid blue (fully charged). This product is labeled as “generic,” but there don’t seem to be any conversion issues or product unreliability as you sometimes experience when going with a generic company of anything other than “OEM.” It doesn’t take up a lot of space, and the dock plugs directly in to the Wii, so no need to take up an extra plug on your power strip! At this price, this product is a total steal and I would recommend it to anyone tired of using disposable batteries.

Does the job

My 9 year old nephew recently got very into playing the Wii at my house. We have misplaced a lot of the accessories over the years, so we were in need of a replacement battery charger. This was super affordable and arrived very quickly. Works great with our Wii Remote controls. Charges them really well, and is easy to use for the cradle. I do wish it came with a slightly longer cord, as it very short. Other than that, great value!

They work great and look awesome - solid purchase

Cool charging station for Wii remotes - the batteries Insten provides fit perfectly in the original Nintendo brand remote. The LED lighting is awesome! (though very bright - might be too bright to sleep for some people). But I like them a lot and couldn't be happier w/ the purchase.

These are still holding up after about 6 months!!! Just doing my review because I don't tend to like to do premature reviews on electronic Items!!! If you own a Wii console, this item is absolutely necessary... who wants to pay to replace batteries once a week?? I will say that one side stopped charging properly after about 3 months.. The way the controller sits in the station must be off or something and now it doesn't charge if it is accidentally tapped. Evenso, still a good deal for the purpose it serves. This is a must-have.
