It was easy to assemble and took 800# of sand. It is a good size. We live in Texas and wood just does not hold up in the heat. I have other lawn chairs made out of this material so I am hoping that this toy takes the heat.

Great Summer Investment

Kids love it, ages 10, 5, and 3 years. I set it up on a paved surface, and ordered the cross support straps from Sandlock, directly. Strengthens the side walls significantly when not set up on grass. Recommend highly, for hard surface set up. 10 minutes to set up. 900 lbs. of sand. (Lowes loaded it with a forklift into our truck!) Seats are nice and easily support an adult. Detach when putting on cover, poke into the middle in the sand, which supports cover, elevated to eliminate standing water from rain or moisture. Fitted cover is extremely sturdy, strong stretch bands hook onto built in hooks to prevent wind from removing it from sand box. Amazon or the manufacturer, should direct customers to purchase support bands in their description of set up options. We love it.

Unmatched Customer Service, Incredible Product

One of the best purchases we have ever made. Unmatched customer service!!! This sandbox is flawless. Sturdy, well made, super easy and quick assembly, genius seats, great size. We ordered this for our son's construction birthday party (in our shop in an Illinois February). It was a hit! We received so many compliments on it. Most importantly!, the gentlemen I spoke with when I called the company (Terry) was incredible. I was concerned about receiving it on time but trying to avoid paying for shipping, which I would have had to do if I had ordered it directly from the company. I was willing to do this in order to get it on time. He was actually honest and kind enough to tell me that I should go ahead and order it through Amazon to get it cheaper and get the free shipping. And!, watched for the order to come through so that he could make sure it shipped on time. And!, he included the extra support straps for free! He was so kind and easy to talk to. We will refer friends to them forever. We will also be more than happy to add the other section to make it larger one day. Our son has used it in the shop all winter. Getting ready to disassemble it to move it outside until winter. We're not dreading it because we know it is a breeze to assemble. We purchased the incredible white play sand instead of regular sand...worth every penny.

My grandchildren really like this sandbox

My grandchildren really like this sandbox. It seems sturdy and the depth and size are good for 2 kids to play in without bumping into each other. The plastic that is used under the sand is not very effective in keeping the grass out, so I wish I had put an extra layer of plastic under it.

Pleased with the purchase

Pleased with the purchase. Sturdy. We put in 15, 40lb bags of sand but need apx 5 more. The seats need to be removed for the cover to fit but they're easy to pull off & replace.

Kids 4 and 7 love it. Cover issues seem to be resolved as I have had no problems. It takes a bunch of sand, I think I bought 16 40lbs pounds from HD and it could still use another 3 or so. Well worth it. I recommend.

Love it

I hunted around for the perfect sandbox for grandkids and this fit the bill. Easy to set up, and very durable. Good cover, too. My grandkids will be in college before this sandbox wears out. Update Nov. 2017: Still in perfect condition. No fading or disintegration. Like new!
