You never know how bad something is until it breaks and you have to replace it! I had the same hair dryer for 7-8 years and it finally died. I had a moment of silence for it... it did a good job. I ordered this one based off the reviews and based off of knowing the "Conair" name. It didn't disappoint! Its so much lighter than my old one, my oldie was as heavy as a brick it felt like. My hair is thick and below my bra strap, it dries it completely in just a few minutes! The cord is short but long enough for me and where I have to plug it into. VERY, VERY happy with this purchase!

Good replacement for me

I always use Conair hair dryers and have noticed that the “weaker” air flow models dry my hair faster. I’m not sure why that is, but it’s proven true with three different models. I had the Infiniti Pro model that I just accidentally dropped the plug into the toilet so I decided to replace it with this one. All the reviews saying it’s not very strong is true. The other model has the some output numbers but blows harder, but not as hot as this model. It dries my hair quite a bit faster than my old one. I have pretty long hair so the faster it dries, the happier I am. I’m pretty happy with it. It’s also a lot lighter than my old one, which is nicer to my wrist. Not a deal breaker or anything, it’s just a nice bonus.

Classic Conair!

Was in search of a new hairdryer as the one I had (a Conair) for a very long time finally stopped working. I've used Conair products for many years and was partial to select another Conair product, but open to see what else is on the market; any new, contemporary products. Eventualy narrowed it down to 2 choices. I'm very satisfied with this product I selected; an ideal choice! Hairdryer is sleek, lightweight (relatively speaking), powerful, stylish, easy controls, very efficient and effective! I've even started using the special 'cool' buttont for enhanced styling/setting. This product is also reasonably priced. I highly recommend for yourself and/or a gift to family member or other! Happy hairblowing days ahead! Enjoy!

Really works. I'm shocked.

Wow. Just wow. I have long hair down to the middle of my back and it's wavy and thick. I have, for years, either allowed my hair to air dry up in a ponytail or I would blow dry it and then flat iron it. It took FOREVER. I used this dryer for the first time today and my hair was silky, smooth and pin straight with no flat iron. I can't believe it. Love it!!!

So far, so good...

So far so good. The dryer is easy to hold, the buttons are not too easy to slide around while drying my hair, & it is easy to clean. Love the hanging loop on the cord to hang it after it has cooled on the bathroom vanity. There is a great level of power to it. My hair dries very quickly with it... my hair is about 4" from my bum, so that is no easy task to dry all of it. It takes about 10 minutes to be dry. Also love that it is EASY to clean... YAY! All around good purchase. I RECOMMEND this dryer as it is my 3rd Conair hair dryer (& only ones) purchase in over 25 years.. they last THAT long.. hope this one does too. I WOULD purchase it again, but sure hope I don't need a new one for at least another 10+ years.

Full-size dryer is fairly quiet and powerful

In the age of covid19, my hair was getting a bit long and was taking too long to air dry. (It gets wavy and unmanageable when I let it dry by itself when it is long). Doing repair/maintenance work at a vacation home, I wanted to dry my hair better so that it wouldn't bother me while I was working. Had a hair dryer at home, but didn't want to lug that one back and forth. Ordered this one after looking at many reviews of hairdryers. None of the hair dryers get unanimous good reviews. This one had mixed reviews, like the others. But, it seemed to float to the top. The hair dryer does work well. No complaints. It is relatively quiet -- not super loud like those small mini-blow-dryers. The larger full-size dryers should always be expected to be quieter than the small ones. That's why I wanted a full-size dryer. The blower power seems perfectly adequate, and dries my hair quickly. Not too hot, but hot enough for the job. Didn't want to spend a lot of $. This fits the bill. Recommended. (By the way, the one I have at home is about 30 years, maybe 40 years old! It works perfectly. Westminster brand. Made in Japan! That's how old it is! Made in Japan!)

FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!

I have had Conair dryers before and loved them and have had $100-$200 ones and I would pick the Conair every time. I saw some people say it was not as powerful as they would have liked and I don't know if they were using a leaf blower to dry their hair or what (LOL) but this blow dryer is fantastic. I have long thick hair and I love the 3 speed/3 drying temps and it dried it very fast with plenty of power, Also like the facts that it is lightweight, easy to handle and has the removable lint option. I would give it a 10 out of 10. And for the price you can't beat it ;)

Ion Shine Works. Great Dryer.

This new Conair 1875W dryer replaces my old Conair 1875W dryer which died after over 20 years of almost daily use. I was so pleased with that old one that I wanted an exact replacement. Well, of course, that’s not possible 20 years later. But this one is the closest. I like it! It’s powerful and dries fast. I believe in the Ion Shine thing. Ions in air reduce static electricity. Reducing — eliminating — static electricity in hair makes it easier to style, yes, but it also reduces hair’s tendency to attract and retain dirt and, importantly, oil in the air. Yes, the air around us contains microscopic oil droplets. Those are a part of what makes your hair heavy and dull by the end of the day. Ions which neutralize the static electricity in hair reduce the tendency to pick up those oil particles through the day so your hair stays nice longer. It works. 1875 Watts is about as powerful as a hand-held hair dryer can be. This is a powerful dryer. Mine was fulfilled and shipped by Amazon Services. The packing was atrocious, entirely inadequate. It was just put in a plastic envelope and sent on its way. While the dryer survived miraculously, its box was badly damaged. This is ok for me. Fortunately, I was not intending this item as a gift because the box was unpresentable. Great dryer. Love the dryer. But just not well packaged.

Well...I’m sold!

I stopped using blow dryers for quite a while because I didn’t wanna damage my hair, and because my hair always felt...frizzy after use. I decided to give blow dryers another shot and this one is a GAME CHANGER. I was sold after the first use. Let me start off by saying I have long, very fine hair. So naturally I worry about heat damage (or really any damage). I started off with a nice heat protectant spray, and used this dryer with my head upside down to get the volume I don’t naturally have with fine hair. The finished product with this dryer is spot on. My hair has volume and a wonderful softness, without any frizz. My hair is down to about between my shoulder blades and it had it completely dry in 7 minutes. It has the perfect amount of power and a good amount of heat. It’s not overly heavy and it’s nice and compact, while still packing a punch with its power. Plus it sits at a great price point. I highly recommend this blow dryer!

It’s great!

This is an excellent blow dryer! I have hair past my waist, so drying it is time consuming. I don’t like a huge dryer and this one is a good medium size. With the concentrator on it’s not too big for me to manage. My hair dried quickly and wasn’t fried. My one and only complaint is that the cord is SO SHORT!! Sooo short! But whatever. Take the good with the not so good. For the price point and given how well this works it’s a total win!
