Currently receiving chemotherapy for cancer. Two things my oncologist advised me was to drink lots of liquids (2 - 3 quarts daily) and consume mass quantities of protein. Orgain helps kill two birds with one stone. I have one daily, first thing in the morning after my exercise. So far, I have had no problem keeping Orgain down, plus it's a great way to start the day - refreshing and tasty. Orgain is best when kept in the refrigerator but ... one side effect of one of the chemicals I am taking is sensitivity to cold (I often have to use gloves to take things out of the fridge - especially the freezer), so drinking a cold beverage is not always pleasant. Fortunately, Orgain tastes good even at room temperature (the package suggests refrigerating before using). The "inventor" of Orgain is an M.D. who also happens to be a cancer survivor. He developed the product with cancer patients in mind. It is organic, GMO free, using milk components from grass-fed cows, gluten free, and contains 21 vitamins and minerals. It is designed to be an easily digested source of protein (nearly 1/3 the RDA for protein in 11 ounces of milk shake) as well as being generally nutritious. Vegan versions of some flavors are available, and there is a version that has more protein (but the cost is disproportionately higher). I am now subscribed to the three flavors Amazon currently sells (Chocolate Fudge, Sweet Vanilla Bean and Iced Cafe Mocha), and there are at least two other flavors not currently available through Amazon - Banana Cream and Strawberry Cream. I would subscribe to them if they were available (hey, Jeff Bezos! Are you listening?).

I ordered these because I have been making some unhealthy eating decisions after my schedule changed recently. I was really expecting them to be your average meal replacement shake, but they really were much better than expected. You know that odd aftertaste you get when drinking most of the name brand meal replacements out there, the one that lets you know what you're drinking is definitely not natural? It doesn't seem to have that. Some people describe chalkiness to it, but I didn't find it bad at all, if you set your expectations correctly. These are quite expensive when compared to other products you'll find at the grocery store, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I really like this stuff! Ingredients are relatively clean, considering a premade shake is by definition a processed food. Very filling and good tasting. I buy both the orgain premade shakes and the powder and actually prefer the taste of the premade shakes because they don’t have stevia. Good replacement for breakfast or a snack.

I have been dealing with nutrition problems for several years, namely, I can't get enough protein to satisfy my doctors. Not only am I vegetarian, but I've had side effects from cancer treatments (chemo and radiation), and multiple surgeries. Orgain is perfect for days I don't eat enough, or eat well enough. I love the chocolatey flavor. It tastes just like chocolate milk to me. I have not had any problems with it. I shake it well before I drink it. I have to say the "curds" that other reviewers are talking about are probably protein powder clumps that just need to be shaken out. If you get the high protein shakes, type more likely to get these. You really have to shake the higher protein shakes vigorously.

Tasty, nutritious stuff, and the best price I've found anywhere. I kind of hate getting things from Amazon instead of helping real live stores stay in business, but the only store I've seen carry Orgain nutrition shakes (at a much higher price) is Whole Foods, and they are the Amazon of brick-and-mortar stores, so I figure what the hell. Orgain is great, though - either by itself or as the base for a good chocolatey (or vanilla-y or banana-y or strawberry-y) nutritious smoothie.

Delicious, however significantly cheaper on costco.com

These are good for meal replacement and I have them for breakfast. They do leave a little aftertaste in your mouth but a stick of gum gets rid of that. If you're not used to eating raw vegetables regularly you might need to use the restroom soon after drinking the shake (from my personal experience). Nice that they're organic and Non-GMO.

I’ve been looking for a shake that doesn’t have Stevia, monk fruit, and artificial sweeteners. It’s been a long, hard journey but the cholocate fudge is NOT gagging sweet, no bad aftertaste, and is delightful mellow. A meal replacement shake isn’t going to taste like a homemade milkshake but this is the best I’ve had outside the Isagenix Chocolate shake. We all have different taste buds but this shake works very well for me. Yes, they use organic cane sugar and brown rice syrup. It also has inulin but it’s used for the prebiotic and fiber benefits, most likely. But this was an acceptable trade off for me. Artificial sweeteners give me digestive problems and Stevia and monk fruit taste and aftertastes are quite off-putting to me. Wish it had a little more protein but I can easily enjoy a hard boiled egg or a piece of meat with this when the need arises. It’s a bit pricey but for on the go, it’ll be perfect. Going to try the unflavored protein powder tomorrow. Looking forward to trying that product now that this was a success. Might actually get my money out of these products.

I have a busy life and a hard time getting enough protien in my diet. These shakes taste great and are healthier and better tasting than most shakes I've tried. I always have one of these in my purse. The taste great even at room temp and they are a nice, fast way to get nutrients when you don't have time to eat.

Delicious! I’ve enjoyed these shakes for a year, but I’ve recently had two bottles - in two separate batches - where the TetraPak was swollen and bloated with curdled milk inside. Orgain should check up on their manufacturing process.
