cheap karaoke microphone replacement
I own an older rsq karaoke machine that came with two pretty heavy duty microphones (with on/off switch and replaceable cord). thought they were ok over the years. always wondered why the vocals sounded a little flat. but seeing it was a medium priced machine, I lived with it. wanting to record to digital media instead of cassette, I recently replaced it with a martin-ranger deck. it came with two decent microphones. not as good as the rsq's but I thought useable. they just didn't sound good. so I go searching around amazon and find this pyle microphone. it sounds much cleaner than the microphones I own. price is great too!!! if you have a karaoke machine I recommend these as they very clear. price is great too!!! I will watch the price and pick another up for sure. way better than what comes with a lot of karaoke machines!! if you own a karaoke machine and are not fond of the sound-give this microphone a try. I think you'll like it!!!! ******it DOESN'T have an on/off switch (I can live with that)*********it DOES come with a fairly long (10-15ft) REPLACEABLE cord**********don't think you can go wrong here for the price (I paid $10.29 shipped through prime).

I usually give products a while if I write a review at all. That said, I received this mic today, plugged it in to test and instantly went down and ordered another one. I have a small home studio and band that is just starting to work in background vocals. I did not want to invest in multiple SM58s or other vocal mics because it didn't seem worthwhile. When I plugged this mic in, the vocals were absolutely crisp and clear. I may even try to record with this. Even though I have some more expensive mics on hand, I'm interested in testing how this one stacks up. I'll update my review if I get any results. For now, 5/5 based on the initial sound and price.

12 bucks? For this?
Great mic for the price. Is it a SM58? No, but sounds pretty damn good. It's light, don't know if it would handle major abuse, but wow...for 12 bucks. you really can't go wrong. Plus, they throw in a cheapo cable for a backup. It also looks pretty damn sharp. Don't see how they even afford to make these things for this price. If you want a really good SM58 clone, I would recommend a Behringer XM8500. If you are looking for a back up mic, or you are a cheapo, this will probably satisfy you. I would have knocked off a couple of stars if it was over 20 bucks, but for 12 bucks...I don't think you are gonna find a better microphone.

Cheap and durable, I have three of these
I have a band on the side (I have a day job) so building up our audio setup needs to be on the cheap. The idea of spending $100 a pop for some Shure SM58s seemed a little excessive for our needs right now. I found these and ordered one on a whim, how bad can it be, I thought? It does a decent job, especially given the price point, I can't complain! We now have three for main and backing vocals, and when it comes times to mic our instrument amps through the PA, I'm gonna come back for more of these. They're also durable and I actually prefer that they don't have an off switch because that's one less thing to have to troubleshoot. If you need to get a sound setup on the cheap, you can't go wrong with these. Note - they come with an XLR to 1/4 cable, if you need XLR to XLR, you're going to need to buy some cables. AmazonBasics has some for very cheap that work great!

A solid microphone for a great price
This a professional microphone for a low, low price. They come well paked. I really like that it's heavy but not that heavy, they feel solid. I used them in a school activity and didn't have to control the mixer at any time for fidelity or feedbacks. It comes with a 15 feet of cable, the cable doesn't look or feel pro but they do the job. Also the upper mesh head is solid steal like material. I think I'll have a microphone for a long time.

Quality mic at a excellent price
I was a professional musician and sound engineer for years. I bought this for our Moose lodge because it was cheap thinking it would be ok. I was surprised at the response of this mike and quality of sound. It is a bit on the bass side for me the tone controls took care of that quick. What I really appreciate is the fact that the on off switch is silent and doesn't pop in the speakers. Would buy again for live reinforcement. Oh. No hiss.

5 Star for Price/Performance Ratio
$8.50 is what I paid for my first one...$8.50!! This INCLUDES a 15ft. XLR to 1/4 mono (even though they were silly not to show it in the product thumbnail image). I just bought 2 more (at the same price)-(3 total) because I firmly believe the price/performance ratio here is unbeatable. I am a musician & have an ear for things that sound distorted or uneven. I consider myself to be an audiophile, I always want the best of the best. That being said...this mic IS NOT the best of the best but it sounds quite good for $8.50, I was actually surprised because I expected much less quality. This mic is very similar to the Shure58, a renowned mic that many love. Same type of chassis/screen/look/heft. Construction is solid, XLR fits tight, & the 15ft. cord is nice. Sound: Good, does it surpass a Shure58? No - but nonetheless this mic sounds pretty good with the proper setup/amps. - The uni-directional is nice, reproduces very little unwanted sound/echo/feedback. - Doesn't sound washed out or muffled like you would expect in this price range. - The P - "PUH" sound exists, but not overpowering or cheap sounding, I expected a more pronounced "PUH." - Accepts all vocal ranges well, such as: metal, growl, deep, mid, high, child, falsetto, melodic, etc. There is no ON/OFF switch, I actually like this because there is less to go wrong with it in the future. This mic over-delivers with quality of construction & sound for this price range. ($8.50) I now own 3 for my family. If you are on the fence with this mic, get off of it now, no sense in looking any further if you're on a tight budget.

professional quality for fraction of the price
I would give more stars if I could.I sing at church choirs. When I read reviews about this mic sounding like a Shure 58,I just wanted to know. This is a very good quality mic that sounds very professional.Actually it sound better than many expensive ones I used at various churches. update: I have used this mic for two years, really heavy use ,for personal practice and for our music club.Nobody believes me when I tell them this costs less than 15 bucks. This is more suited for male and female singers with a medium to high pitched resonating voice. Not so much for male singers with a very deep voice though.I doesn't have a lot of bass. But I like how my voice is enhanced trough this mic.In Shure58 I dont get the enhancing like that.Another mic I like is beisinger that is close to how this sounds, but more expensive.

Almost the same quality as Shure SM58
This mic provides the best bang for the buck in it’s class. Overall build quality is unbelievable for the price. I USE THE PHANTOM POWER with INCREASED GAIN for better results. ( you need a XLR cable which is not provided) In my word, most expensive is not always the best. Price is Not = quality. I am using it for podcasting type work. This is great for cutting background noise. However, dynamic microphones don’t provide greate sound quality compared to condenser microphones. For less than $14.00 with the xlr to 1/4 inch cable not too bad.
