Cool gift for any age, above 5
My 8yo nephew loved this. He’s really into renewable energy. “That way it wont die” “runs forever” easy to build with adult supervision.

They liked it so much
Big hit with the grandson who just turned 5. They liked it so much, they purchased one as a birthday gift for a classmate. It was a nice, fun project for everyone to work and it actually worked well

The Solar Rover Kit was a lot of fun
I got this for my kid and he loved it. The instructions were easy for a 5-7 year old to understand and build. Soon my kid was out trying to make the Rover move around in every single sunspot he could find.

Good gift
Gift for an 8 year old grandson - he tore into the package and immediately starting putting it together - really fascinated with it and inexpensive fun toy which is also a little educational

Quick assembly, simple design - a winner if you're just getting started in solar
Easy to follow instructions, 20 minutes to build, and worked immediately on a not-so-sunny day. Kids were impressed and are now more into solar tech (the intended outcome!). Make sure to have a small Phillips head screwdriver for assembly. There are 5 small screws in total that we used (there was a 6th but didn't need to use it). Also, the wheels are a little hard to put on and may benefit from some cement to keep them on. The kit comes with a plastic 'body' as well if you're not interested in using an aluminum can. I didn't know that when I ordered, it was a nice add-in I thought.

Hours of fun!
My son 6 almost 7 years old loves this toy. He put it together with little to no supervision, and he likes to take it outside. This does need a direct source of sunlight. However for a little 6 year old this is really cool.

Fun to play, not much to learn
It is science, suntastic but not much to the diy kit. Not much learning but very cool to play with
