Basic, simple mouse that works beautifully, replacing my old broken mouse without a problem
This mouse was purchased very recently out of necessity. The mouse that had come along with my desktop was finally on its last legs after about five years of use (hey, if it worked fine, why replace it?) and subsequently died completely right after I'd placed the order for this one. Good thing I was proactive and went hunting when the old one started having issues! This little guy fit all the criteria I had when shopping and after about a week of use is performing every bit as well and comfortably as the last one! I like how it's simple and basic, much like my old one. It's a good size for my hand and is nicely shaped (I hate those ergonomic mice that are built short and tall) so it's comfortable to use and feels nice to the touch, all smooth plastic. The buttons work nicely, the wheel scrolls smoothly and only makes a mild clicking, and it has a USB cable (I'm not a fan of wireless mice; they seem less reliable and require more maintenance in my experience). Plus, I was able to get mine for like $5 which was very nice! I was only after a basic, reliable computer mouse to replace my broken one and this one fits the bill! I've used it extensively since it arrived at my door and works wonderfully! My only qualm is that I would have liked for the cord to be a little longer, just to have enough slack to be extra safe, but so far it fits in with my current desktop setup so I won't complain. If you're in the market for a basic, corded mouse that operates smoothly and is comfortable to use, I highly recommend! It's nothing fancy, but it is responsive, comfortable, and I can't find any point of contention with it or its performance. I'm just glad such a simple corded is even still in production! Logitech has always made products I find to be useful and reliable, so I felt confident buying a mouse made by the company. I'll update this review in a few months time (or sooner, if there's a problem) just as a check in on its longevity and functionality over time! Update as of January 24th, 2018 Everything is still working wonderfully after almost half a year of use! Update as of July 12th, 2018 Still working perfectly almost a year in! Update as of January 2019 My mouse began to do this strange thing where it'd simaltaneously right click as I left clicked, which caused me to accidentally select random parts of the right click menu while using my computer. Nothing I did corrected the issue in a way that would keep me using the mouse, so it is put to rest after about 18 months of daily use. The issue stopped when I switched my left click and right click controls to the opposite buttons, but as I am right handed, this was awkward, so I bought a new mouse. My only guess as to why this happened was that the components of the mouse where worn; there's not a super clear distinction between the left and right buttons (there's a single piece of plastic over the two that's just been cut down the middle) so perhaps wear and tear caused some warping that makes it so pressure on the left button side causes the mouse's sensors to feel like the right side is clicking.

The best mouse
Great for gaming and productivity. Good quality, perfect size and sensitivity. If you're cross-shopping the AmazonBasics 3-Button USB Wired Mouse, I would STRONGLY suggest getting this Logitech B100 mouse intead. The Amazon mouse acts erratically when flicking your wrist quickly, such as having to turn around quickly in an FPS game. Also the Logitech mouse is larger and more comfortable with extended usage. The Amazon mouse also has a weird rubberized-feeling plastic on the surface, the B100's glossy plastic is more preferable in my opinion.

Fantastic cheap mouse for gaming and more!
Full disclosure: I've bought these mice three times over the past six years and I love them. I spend around 100 hours per week on my gaming laptop because I also work from home. I needed something that was simple enough for everyday use, yet also had a wheel for gaming while being responsive and accurate. Like I said, I use these mice around 100 hours per week for work, gaming, AND personal use, and each one lasts me 1.5 to 2 years without fail. After trying other mice in the past, I stuck with these because they have literally everything I need and they're so much cheaper than the alternatives. I'm pretty rough on these mice, too; I play strategy games often that utilize the mouse wheel for map zooming. After about two years, the mouse wheel starts to get a little loose and unresponsive, so I replace it. Considering you use your computer less than I use mine, I imagine this nifty little mouse would last you even longer, and all for a few dollars. Other than the eventual defeat of the mouse wheel, nothing else about these mice has ever given me problems or stopped working. Overall, I'll sing the praises of this product until the day I die. Don't ever stop making these, please!

LOGITECH IS #1
Whenever I stray from purchasing a Logitech product, I end up being completely disappointed. After having made the mistake of buying another brand I've never heard of, I got this mouse. The ones I orginally purchased had a 5* rating...but not in my case. There were 2 in the box. Both stopped working within a few weeks and were cheaply made. If you'd like to know the brand, feel free to write. I don't use a mouse for gaming, but for graphic design. I spend countless hours with this mouse in my hand each day. I've never felt any discomfort or fatique. The mouse is solidly built. I will never buy anything but Logitech from now on. Everything I've bought from this manufacturer has been superb and lasted a long time. I've had a pair of speakers for over 10 years that are still working just like they did out-of-the-box. They're sturdy, quality made and will last a long time, just like my mouse! Thank you for making such amazing products!

Great mouse
You would have to have experience with some bad mouse in order to appreciate how good this mouse is. Around half a year ago, my old M100 broke after many years of usage, and because I was in need for a mouse in a hurry, I rushed out and brought the cheapest mouse I can find from a local computer shop, it was some unknown Chinese brand, and it costed $15. And my immediate impression after first use was, "wow this mouse sucks." It was heavy, the texture feels like cheap plastic, and there's a stupid blue light lighting up the scroll. Then the scroll was terribly inaccurate. And the most stupidest design was that it added a contour down-curve for the finger placement spot on each of the two clicks, so when you're holding the mouse, your index finger was not having contact with the clicks, and to register a click, you'll have to put more pressures on the clicks than usual. It's just terrible. And finally I got fed up and brought this mouse, it is night and days and feels so much better. No more stressful clicks and the scroll is spot on.

“The absolute very best of the best!”
I’ve had my other Logitech mouse for nearly an entire decade & the only reason why it stopped working so efficiently was unfortunately due to my spilling liquid onto it.. Not to mention my not even realizing this for several hours as I had fallen asleep.. Ironically the mouse still worked! However, it was time to purchase this new one as the other one wasn’t responding as it had been prior to my damaging it.. I am completely astonished at these inexpensive Logitech mouses! They really are an extraordinary product and so extremely tough wow! I love my new mouse & highly recommend buying one! “ 5 STARS & VERY, VERY WELL DESERVED!” Thank you kindly Logitech!

No more batteries to replace!
I can't say whether this mouse would be good for gaming. It has a nice, long cord, but I leave most of it bundled up. I use the mouse for a plain laptop. I was just tired of constantly replacing batteries and needing to drop them off for recycling, especially in a pandemic. I'd tried rechargeable batteries in the past, but my husband often threw them away by accident. I also didn't like dealing with tiny battery covers that break easily and then have to be taped into place. Logitech is a reliable brand I've bought before, and a friend who repairs and maintains computers for a living agreed this was the best choice for me, so that's what I bought.

Fairly compact, no-frills, gets the job done
One button on either side of the scrolly-thingie. The scrolling wheel articulates so you don't fly all over the page. It's matte black, the light on the bottom side is red. There's no need for a mousepad if you use the mouse on a flat, clean surface (it didn't work on my textured, glass patio table). Sadly, in the 4+ star category, it seems like there's almost nothing in between the most basic type of mouse (like this one) and the $20-50 mouses (mice? hmmm...) that have buttons on the sides and light up the room. I'd like some kind of texture on the side--maybe grooves on each side or something?--for my thumb and ring finger. It's a small matter, but I'd pay an extra $5 to get that feature. Overall, it's a good value for the function it provides, though if I buy another mouse I'll probably bite the bullet and spend the $20+ for something a bit smaller with "anchoring" spots for my fingers.

I realize that very few people use a corded ANYTHING anymore, BUT:
This is still a great mouse, & is a Logitech to boot! You can get a cheaper USB mouse, but I was willing to pay about $1 more for the "L" brand. I've been struggling with bluetooth mice & keyboards for use with both my desktop & laptop for weeks (if not months), & was running into nothing but conflicts. Finally, I decided to get everything down to the "simplest common denominator", & got this mouse so that I would have one that I KNEW worked!!! It does, but it turns out that I already had a non-BT (USB mouse with dongle) mouse that works great. So, this corded one goes into storage for that inevitable day when things quit working again. LOL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS A CHEAP, BUT HIGH-QUALITY, LOGITECH-BRANDED CORDED USB MOUSE!

Works for MacBookAir OS Sierra
I jumped from wireless mouse to wired mouse. The new mouse was easy to install. It works as it should. However, I do not like the wheel. It's 'awkward' and noisy to me. It clicks as you turn it. I was spoiled with the smooth rotation of the wheel on the wireless mouse. So what did I do to justify the 5 star rating? I followed a previous reviewer who provided directions to remove a 'pin' from the side of the wheel ... inside the mouse. [Remove the screw at the bottom of the mouse. Separate the bottom from the top, exposing the internal workings. On one side of the wheel is a thin, mostly straight wire; on the other side of the wheel is a 'spring looking' wire. Remove the mostly straight wire - leave the spring looking wire alone.] Know that by doing what I did you will invalidate the warranty. Who cares? I am happy now!
