Great uke but one thing...

I purchased this ukulele after numerous recommendations and it sounds amazing! Not to mention, the exterior is gorgeous. However, the color I received is not a color shown. The overall color is a medium mohogany and the bridge (where the strings are tied towards the bottom of the ukulele) is a very light brown/light wood color. I’m not sure how I received this color (I’m not complaining), but just be aware of that. Overall, great for the price!

Gateway ukulele.

This thing is fun and it sounds good. It is so tiny though. And so light. Which aren't bad things. I love it. However the concert size is so small I can't play the things I want to (which honestly aren't meant to be played on a concert size). I play guitar and know how to adjust to play different types of chords. This thing is awesome and I love it but I can only get away with basic chords on it. Which is fine. It's my first ukulele and now I am addicted.

I am new to Ukulele and I have only had this one about two weeks. I absolutely love it. This Luna Concert Uke is beautiful to look at and feels well made when you hold it. It is super light and the sound is amazing, it sounds so much bigger than it is. I actually look forward to coming home to pick it up and continue learning on it. You won't regret this purchase.

Great Tone Handsome Ukulele Excellent Craftsmanship Made with high Quality Materials

Great Tone Handsome Ukulele Excellent Craftsmanship and It keeps itself tuned after tuning and using on a regular basis for about a month. The Tattoo work in the wood looks beautiful. We have 7 Ukuleles that range in regular retail price from about $200.00 to about $50. This Ukulele has the best tone and sound. It is made with High Quality Materials and strings. My opinion is that you would have to spend another $100.00 to get a better Ukulele.

Amazing sound for the price

Ordered this Luna for my 16 year old daughter who is an avid guitarist and cellist. She loves it. Beatlutiful tattooed mahogany. Amazing sound for the price. Purchased with having read negative reviews about tuning slippage and poorly manufactured tuning mechanisms. I found the tuning mechanisms to be just fine. Tuning slippage was more of a problem for the first few days until the new strings were properly stretched. Out Luna now stays tuned and only needs minor adjusting here and there which is what I would expect from any ukulele. Great price for both look and pure sound. Great for beginner, intermediate and I suspect, for a professional as well. We get many compliments on the design. Luna has quickly become part of the family and we wouldn't trade her!

Great Ukulele for the price

Received the acoustic, concert ukulele in perfect condition, and it was very easy to tune up to the correct pitch for each note. (I do have an electronic tuner to do all my tuning.) As a good maintenance technique, I tune it each time before I start to play, but it is usually pretty close and requires minimal tuning to be in perfect tune. I am a beginner for string instruments, but it sounds great, and I really enjoy playing. With the Aquila nylon strings (that it comes with), it gives you a chance to toughen up your left hand fingers (calluses) without absolutely killing you like metal strings do.

My 16 year old daughter order this as an upgrade to her currently ukulele. In her words, "it looks beautiful and it sounds beautiful." It's excellent. She's totally satisfied.

Beautiful instrument fabulous sound!!

Most important part of my review is that this is a beautiful, well made ukulele that has a rich and full sound. No string buzzing, and no "plinky" ukulele sound. Finish is beautifully crafted, and the tattoo design is a knockout. This looks so much better in person, as the photos don't show the warm mahogany tones well. My niece has several ukuleles, and this is her favorite. She loves it deeply, so after reading every review I bought mine. If considering this, or any breakable purchase from amazon, pay for the extra box!! When my mail carrier delivered it, there was a big tear in the Luna box they shipped in. Luckily there was no damage to the instrument. Also, several people in reviews complained about the free included gift bag. ( duh, it's free) The gig bag actually DOES have some padding in it on the front, back, and around sides. I am purchasing another case, but this one is way better than the one included with my first uke, and has an outside zipper pocket that is 7"x9", so big enough for a snack. I could go on and on about this beautiful instrument, but I would rather be playing it.

Simple Gig Bag Included

Just a quick review to let everyone know something that's not in the item description. This instrument includes a simple soft gig bag which was a nice surprise. While it's too thin to offer any crush protection, it would be enough to protect it from scratches and minor dings. The box however, is not heavy cardboard and had been ripped in transit. It also perfectly fit the size of the instrument, so offered little protection, and for some reason, Amazon chose to ship it in this form without placing it inside a shipping box. This is not the fault of the product, so I'm not downgrading the rating. The box does identify what it is on the outside, so be aware of this if you're buying it as a gift. I will update my rating if necessary based on the quality of the ukulele itself once I've had time to properly play it.

I love my Luna Uke~ I am replacing the strings w/ higher quality strings. I read the reviews after I purchased this, and I had no issues like others have spoken of. the packaging?? was really odd, not cushioned, not sealed, just plop there it was in a thin cardboard unsealed uke shaped box. I was totally surprised it made it here safely.. wow.. having fun with it, and feel it is probably a good beginner instrument, and will pursue a higher quality should I continue to love playing it ike I do so far.
