Someone backed into my front bumper and left their black paint on my light colored bumper. This and a dual-action polisher worked like a magic eraser and took all 4 of the marks off in maybe 10 minutes. It also did a nice job of taking some of the road grime off using the same DA polisher and this stuff. Meg's always makes great stuff, sometimes it's hard to figure out what product is best. For refreshing paint and "erasing" bumper marks, this is what you want.

M105 is my go to for scratches and neglected clear coat. This stuff with an orange pad is an unbelievable first stage of polishing. I use M105 and then M205 and then M66 for a 3 stage polish and wax.

Wow, works if used correctly. Used a Porter Cable DA with Orange Chemical Guys Cutting Pad. Removed large scratches from black paint on Kia Sportage, Black Cherry paint finish. This is what you want to use first to remove most scratches and rain and road damage. Way better than sanding, though sometimes you need to sand. Always try and cut with M105 first, then you can follow with M205 and a paste wax on the top!

I purchased this after reading rave reviews in several different forums and websites. The reviewers were right. This product does exactly what it is intended to do. It's perfect for compounding a vehicle in need of paint correction. If you have swirls and light scratches, then this is what you use if you want to eliminate them. For those that use off the shelf waxes at the auto store (as I used to do), they only temporarily cover up the swirls, they do not remove them. I spent close to 30 hours researching how to properly do paint correction and this was one of the most hyped compounding polishes out there from the pros. I started by using a clay bar and clay lubricant on my car to remove the contaminants in the clear coat that even the M105 won't pull out. Then after washing the car, I used a Porter Cable DA polisher (also purchased here on Amazon) to compound the car's surface with the appropriate pad (typically orange). I worked in 2 foot by 2 foot sections and used cross hatch patterns to assure even coverage. This really brought out a lot of shine and this isn't even the polishing stage yet! It wouldn't pull out one heavier scratch that I have, but it made quick work of the smaller scratches and completely removed the swirl marks. Keep in mind that this is an abrasive. You don't want to use this every time you detail your car because it removes a very small amount of the clear coat. You should hopefully only have to use this once to correct the issues then you can maintain the paint from there. I then used Meguiar's M205 to polish the car, again using the DA but this time with a white pad designed for polishing This is what brings out the shine! It's like wood working.. you start with a rougher 120 grit to get the majority of the roughness out, then move up to a less aggressive 240 grit sandpaper to smooth it out even more. These products are simply liquid sandpaper - one has more grit and the other has less. One does the dirty work, the other finishes it off For what it's worth, I then followed up the polishing with 2 coats of sealant and 2 coats of Carnuba wax. The before and after is simply amazing and that's saying a lot because the car I did all of this on is yellow, not a color known for high gloss and reflection quality like you see on darker cars Highly recommended!

It's a very easy product to use, it cut thru my paint oxidation like butter every one I took it to said the car just needed to be repainted at 2500 plus so I figured I would give this a try after reading reviews on different products this was the best option I ordered it along with the 205 and I picked up a DA buffer and pads at a local HF store and went to town three days later doing a few hours a day you can see the results I think I did pretty good for a first timer. I also used meguiar's m205 and a gold class wax. Great products

I was working on attempting to restore an old car hood that I had purchased many years ago from a junkyard. This was mostly just a practice project as I did not think that the paint was actually salvageable. I started out with Meguiars Ultimate Compound, which has worked great for me on less damaged surfaces; it did nothing for me on this severely weather damaged hood, however. I then purchased this Ultra-Cut compound. I was actually able to get impressive shine from the hood, when I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get reflectivity out of it at all. This stuff is the real deal.

I work at a call center and a guy was honest with me and wanted to make hitting my car right. I went out and took a look, figured it would be some compound and wet sanding to get it fixed up and then use a paint pen...we settled on $20 because I appreciate his honesty. On to this product... I cleaned it up with soapy water and paper towels (took first picture) then used a clean shop rag, making small circles with moderate pressure and wiping off any that started to escape. Wiped down with a clean shop towel (second picture) Totally impressed, I'll be taking the product to work for him to use on his black car if he's interested. I would buy again but won't have to as I over used it and have a lot left.

Excellent product. Discovered it on a YouTube after some birds left some droppings on the hood of our brand new 2017 Toyota. The paint's clearcoat was badly stained and regular polishing compound didn't phase the stain. Even tried some WD40. This M105 worked wonders!! I carefully used only hand pressure - no powered orbital device. Followed the directions and with only hand pressure the stains were gone after three attempts - they were pretty bad and I didn't want to apply too much pressure and really get into the clearcoat and make things worse. We couldn't be more pleased to say the least. We thought the paint would forever be messed up. A+ to Meguiar's and some who took the time to make some informative YouTube videos.

I've detailed cars for years. My go-to scratch/oxidation remover was Meg Ultimate Compound. I tried this out with my Meg DA polosher, Chem Guys Hex cutting pad and was STUNNED at how much better this worked than anything else Ive tried. I was worried it would be too abrasive, but it's perfectly safe. Even with 3 passes. I follow up w my fav polish and wax and I'm set. I highly recommend.

I had a two foot long gash down the side of my black 2017 Lexus from when luggage fell. I was nervous to try anything on my own, but decided to try this after reading the reviews. I wish I would’ve taken a before photo, because the scratch is completely gone!! I used a foam applicator and did it by hand. It took maybe ten minutes. The scratch was fairly deep and a good quarter inch wide. I didn’t expect great results, but I’m pleasantly surprised and pleased. I highly recommend this product!!
