No steroids, fast-acting, can be used as often as you like and YES.......WORKS FAST EACH AND EVERYTIME for both, symptom (itching) relief AND healing with, truly, fabulous regular moisturization whether you are experience eczema or not. Have tried just about everything else with different eczema bouts and with various people and it is always a success without risks. Recommend it to everybody.

Not just for eczema

I don't have eczema, but this is my all-time favorite facial moisturizer. I was using far pricier stuff, but this outdistances all the fancy brands. It has a wonderful consistency, and my skin actually FEELS moisturized when I use it. Some of the other products I've used may be moisturizing (the manufacturers certainly say they are), but I have to take them on trust because the feeling is simply not there. If you have dry skin, I strongly recommend this product as a moisturizer. It absorbs very well, and will leave your face and neck feeling wonderful. Or at least I have found that to be the case. And for that purpose, the price is a tremendously good buy.

A good moisturizer.

Best emollient I've found that I can use overall and still get dressed afterwards (i.e., not too greasy -- absorbs well while softening). I am an atopic with severe eczema for 62 years, so I've tried it all, it seems, from plain Vaseline to all the most expensive lubricants, both over the counter and prescription -- and I still like Aveeno moisturizing cream best. I've tried thick pastes, which are usually not as comfortable or practical to use, and lotions (too thin and runny), resins, oils and creams. For me, creams are best -- and this one is pleasant and doesn't sting or burn like some others do. Five stars.

Best decision EVER

Absolutely amazed at this stuff. I had a terrible allergic reaction and broke out with eczema all over my face (have suffered with it for years, just never on my face). My eyes were completely swollen shut and red, my face was peeling, in pain, inflamed and DRY DRY DRY. I tried everything and I mean everything. I ordered this and nearly instantly felt and saw results. These two pictures are LESS THAN 24 HOURS APART. I've been using it now for 3 days and my face is 100% back to normal. I really like that this product is a cream versus a lotion, I feel it helps soak in better and KEEPS the skin hydrated. 100% recommend.

A great lotion.

I bought this based on many friend recommendations and noticed an immediate difference when I first used it on my daughter. We have been since been buying this lotion for the past two years. We used this twice a day (or more) for over a year to keep her eczema down. Her flare ups have not occurred as often lately and we have been able to back off to once a day. This lotion is worth every penny.

Flare-Up Free for Two Years

I discovered this product two winters ago when I was experiencing a particularly bad eczema outbreak on my hands and wrists. My hands were red, itchy, dry and irritated to the point where the only thing I could do to keep from itching was to tie ice packs on my hands to numb them completely. One particularly cold night I was driving home and I could feel my hands starting to burn and itch underneath my winter gloves. It got so bad that I had to pull over and put on some lotion, which, as usual, did little to remedy the situation. So I stopped at a store hoping to find something that worked and saw Aveeno's Eczema Therapy lotion. I was skeptical because I'd tried other lotions, including over-the-counter ones recommended by medical professionals and even a bottle of lotion that came with my steroid prescription, but experienced little to no clinical benefit (the one that came with my steroid prescription actually made my hands sting and burn even more). I was wary of spending another $12+ on a lotion that turned out to be greasy and ineffective. But Aveeno freakin' worked!!! My eczema tends to flare during the winter, when my hands are exposed to drastic temperature changes and when I wash my hands too much. As I'm a hopeless germaphobe living in Cleveland, this used to mean that my hands were raw 6 months out of the year. After just a few weeks of using Aveeno, my hands healed completely. Besides whatever specific eczema-soothing ingredients it contains, the reason I think this product works so well is because it provides a good protective barrier for your skin. If I wash my hands within an hour of applying it, I can still feel that the lotion is on there even after I've washed and dried them. But unlike some other lotions recommended for eczema that I've tried, this one absorbs easily and is not at all greasy. It also doesn't have a strong smell - medicinal or otherwise. I use it religiously on my hands year round and as an all over body lotion in the winter or if I've noticed my skin feeling particularly dry and/or itchy. I may sound a bit overenthusiastic (and no, I don't work for Aveeno), but I'm just happy that I don't have to strap ice packs to my hands any more or feel embarrassed because people are eyeballing my hands while talking to me. If your eczema is driving you nuts, I'd say give it a try.

WAY Better than Hydrocortisone!

This is the BEST product! My daughter was born (Oct 2013) with little rough patches on her arms and legs. When I mentioned it to her pediatrician, the doctor said that it was eczema and prescribed hydrocortisone gel. I didn't like having to use it on my daughter because it was medicated, but I noticed that it worked after a while. I also noticed that because I could only use the gel on the affected areas, I was worried about the rest of her skin not getting moisturized and it was a challenge putting on moisturizer around the spots where I had applied the hydrocortisone. I needed something that was safe to use all over... the affected and unaffected areas. I decided to do some internet research to find a better solution and came across the National Eczema Associate site regarding Infants and Toddlers. They had a section about suggested moisturizers and the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream was on the list. I purchased it, used it on my baby, and couldn't believe the how well is worked almost immediately! My baby's skin cleared up within a couple of days. My baby is now 13 months and there isn't a trace of the eczema and I still use the Aveeno one-to-two times daily of my baby. I am upset that the pediatrician did not even consider over-the-counter options, but I am grateful to have found Aveeno!

Greatest eczema cream i've ever tried!!

I have had extreme eczema on my whole face and head for my entire life and I was pretty skeptical of this cream because i've used so many different prescription creams, a huge assortment of other types of over the counter "eczema creams," and different oils/vitamins and they never worked very well or were extremely greasy but I was pleasantly surprised because this is BY FAR the best cream I have ever tried. It instantly cools soothes the itching and within a day it will clear up a lot of the redness and flaky skin and within a couple of days my entire face was clear. For best results i've found using something like Cetaphil skin cleaner before hand and then putting Aveeno Eczema cream on afterwards I received the best results. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures but to be honest I didn't think is was going to work that fast or work at all. If you are plagued with eczema I can't recommend this enough.

Miracle worker

This stuff is pretty amazing. I’d been using a prescription steroid cream for a couple of months, and it worked OK if I used it twice a day. But I became pregnant and needed a new non-medicated option. Enter this product, which was a game changer. I only really need to use it every couple of days and it clears my eczema up wonderfully. It has no scent and isn’t greasy. It’s probably worth noting that my eczema is only a small area, but if yours is more widespread I’d definitely still give it a try. I don’t think I’ll go back to medication after this.

I suffered for years until this!

This product is amazing! I went on a all out hunt for something to clear up the eczema on my face. It made my face dry and red which resulted in me being very self-conscious without make up. As a Mom and a business owner I don’t alsways have time for makeup. This within 24 hours Improved my face 85%. After the second day it was completely gone. I use it every night as a moisturizer. You don’t have to use a lot a little bit goes a long way there for this bottle will last you a long time. You could not ask for more bang for your buck ! I recommend this to anybody with eczema .
