Good to have extra cords around the house

Bought this so I could charge my Kindle either downstairs or upstairs of the house, without unplugging a USB micro cord from the computer. Now I don't have to worry about the battery running low where ever I'm at in the house. I hated having to go up stairs while laying on the couch, just to get something. (Stupid not-to-code stairs!)

A real life saver if you forget to bring yours when traveling

Recently; I brought my Kindle with me while away on a trip. When the battery was nearing the 20% mark; I searched for my charger, only to find out that I had left it behind. Thankfully, with Amazons quick turnaround time; I was able to order this replacement and had it sent to where I was staying the very next day. It works exactly like the one that came with my Kindle and I've had absolutely no problems with it whatsoever.

Amazon Kindle replacement power adapter

Recently, we went to Cancun for vacation and I had a terrible accident involving my Kindle 3. Meanwhile, for reasons beyond our comprehension my husband's Kindle 2 adapter had the plastic coating disintegrate (air pressure?). Anyway, when we got home the Kindle Staff very curtiously replaced my KIndle 3, but it only came with the usb cord and not the AC adapter, but no prob - cause my original Kindle 3 adapter and usb cord still worked and my husband was able to keep his Kindle 2 charged as well. However, being that I want mine and he want's his type of thing, Kindle was ever so kind in giving me a promo for another adapter! The Kindle is my best friend other than my husband and my dog and the Kindle Staff would have to be included in this group somewhere - maybe before my husband? Shhh! You didn't hear me say that! Shouldn't have had to replace the original

I pulled out my original power adapter which I hadn't used in a while and all the rubber coating came off and just left me with bare wires!! I couldn't believe it. I hadn't done anything to cause this and I was afraid to use it as I thought I might get electracuted or shocked. That is why I purchsed a new one. I then learned a friend of mine had the same thing happen to her original cord as well. I just hope the replacement is of better quality and this does not occur again! I was really surprised that the original quality was not better as I really love my Kindle! Let's hope this was something that realized and fixed so that they will last the length of the Kindle!

Better than generic

I bought this because ive had bad experiences with generic/cheap usb adapters. This one ive been using for about 6 months now and is as good as ever. The unit is made of a sturdy plastic and metal. It has some weight to it so you can tell it is well made. As for the micro-usb cable, it has held up so far and has not cracked at the ends like some others ive had.

Terry speaks out on Kindle Replacement Power Adapter.

I had recently lost or misplaced the power cable to my Kindle. I had looked high and low without success. I hated to have to buy another one, but I did anyway. The power cable that I purchased from Amazon was just as advertised. I received the item within the expected time and it was well packaged. The price of the item was below many other cables I had checked out online. They sure took the pain out of having to buy another cable. Thanks Amazon and I will definitely purchase from Amazon again.

Love The Length

I love the length of this cord. It's incredibly long so while I'm charging my phone or kindle I can still use the device. This is the only charger that I will purchase from now on. The only drawback is that the plastic coating at the end near the plug where you put your phone in cracks and then eventually will stop charging your phone. It really annoys me about that and I know there's a problem with the charger itself because I've read numerous reviews stating this and several of mine have broke this way. Actually, it's the only way mine break. Still, because of the length and the length alone I will continue buying these.

Great Choice

I am very happy with the purchase of my replacement power adapter. It has made reading my Kindle so much more portable. I carry the power cord with me everywhere I go and at that moment in time when my Kindle needs charging I have it with me to charge and I am still able to continue reading while my Kindle is charging. I am very happy I purchased the replacement power adapter.

This charger is another excellent product from Amazon. I use it to charge my Kindle Keyboard, replacing the similar charger that I lost on a recent trip. It is well made and works as advertised. In addition, Amazon got it to me in 3 days from a local supplier, instead of the 5 days projected on the invoice. Thanks Amazon!

Great item! Great price!

This is made specifically for the Kindle. I found that not all micro-usb chargers will charge the Kindle Fire correctly so I ordered this after my son lost the original that came with his K-Fire. And as luck would have it, I found the original a week after this replacement came in the mail. Speedy delivery, and fast charging! Can't beat this price!
