A MUST HAVE for chewing pups
I was so happy to find this on Amazon, as I never see it at Petsmart anymore. This is our Australian Cattle Dog's ABSOLUTE favorite toy. We got it right after adopting her when we realized she was a chewer. She never destroyed another part of our house or furniture again. We thought she may grow out of it, but three years later she still HAS to have it. She chews on it every day and we have never had her chew down it down to nothing! (We did hear about this from a friend who went through 3 in a year because he would chew them down to a stump, so I know it's possible). Anyway! It's been so safe for her, we can always leave it out, even when we aren't home because it doesn't break off in sharp pieces. The only warning I will give to the humans is that, if you step on it while walking around in the dark you might cry. It is worse than stepping on legos! A small price to pay to have a happy pup and intact furniture!

AWESOME, CLEAN AND SAFE!
Honestly, this is one of about 5 of 50 "aggressive chewer" toys that I have purchased for my King Shepherd that actually has lasted. She packs it around like a pacifier on days when it's too wet to take a vigorous walk or the two days per week that I have long work hours and she is kenneled. It has no odor that we have ever noticed, leaves no stain, goo or residue on surfaces and she's had it for over 6 months. The only thing that is MILDLY irritating is after months of chewing, it has scratchy edges all over it, so if it's on a carpet or soft bed, or she brings it to me when I have shorts on, it may scratch a little, not enough to be a problem on hardwood or soft flooring, more like Velcro ribs, however, this is a valuable compromise!!!! It's deal with this minor issue or have a dog chew through their kennel or eat your shoes, what's the better deal????

Fantastic multiple use toy. Only one mild concussion.
This thing is amazing. I got it one evening after sewing yet another toy that my very active chewer had destroyed. This thing gas lasted a month now, and after a ton of chewing he can still easily go another month with it. As you can see in the photos that he enjoys it very much, and offers it to me on a regular basis. He can play tug of war, hit you in the head with it, even flip it backwards on his face then whip it around hitting everything in sight. My personal favorite is the "bull nose ring" that hangs from his mouth as he offers it to you only to drag you across the room. UPDATE: APR/17/2016: I cant believe it, this thing is still going strong. He has lost some interest in it, but I think maybe some of the flavor is gone, or he is just frustrated that he cant kill it. He still chews on it nearly every day.... he has had this for nearly 150 days (5 months)... still plenty of mileage left! I'll be buying him another one just for him to have something new, not because it needs to be replaced.

24 paws up from this pack
6 out of 6 huskies love this as much as they love the Nylabone wishbones. Woo! So glad for another great toy that can gnaw at safely. :] It's holding up very well like typical Nylabones.

Consistently selected from the toy basket!
My 50-55lb dog is a big fan of the Nylabone Ring. She enjoyed it immediately and has continued to chew this toy for a couple years. I just purchased a replacement - about 1 year after the last one. The first one of these she inherited from another dog and did manage to chew through the ring and then started chewing bits off, so it needed to be taken away. That took quite a long time, and I just replace them before it gets to that point now. Small pieces will come off while they chew the bone. Some of these they will swallow (but she's never had any issues passing the small bits) and others will just fall on the floor. My one complaint about this bone is that it gets VERY sharp edges, and when they leave it all over the floor, stepping on it or running into it can be painful. Also, if you have a dog that pushes toys on your lap, this can scrape the skin, or delicate fabrics. Despite that, this toy remains a favorite and I don't see any way to prevent the edges becoming sharp, so I stand by 5 stars. One of the best benefits of this toy was being able to teach my dog that this is for chewing and her plushies are for gentler play. The bone is already fairly inexpensive for how long it lasts and has saved us a lot of money on plush toys since she no longer destroys them in minutes (this does require training and guidance - the toy doesn't work miracles :) )

Bulldog approved
Just received these to replace other Nylabone products that my three dogs all loved but had eventually destroyed after a year of constant chewing. We have a Bullmastiff and two Olde English Bulldogges and they are all very strong chewers. They can destroy a soft toy in a second, a rubber toy in a minute, and most large rawhides within 5 to 10 minutes. The only toys that last more than a day are the solid Nylabone type, Kongs or a rope. I specifically chose this product because of the axis shape. All the dogs like to hold their toys with their feet while they chew, and this shape is perfect for them to get a good grip and be able to chew on any of the 4 ends. The pictures are of the bulldogs just a few minutes after these arrived from UPS. They already love them, and were completely distracted as I quietly retrieved the old mutilated toys and threw them away when they weren't looking.

Lasts for a really long time, dog loves it
We have a small terror rescue dog and she is an avid chewer... no matter what I give her it is ravaged shortly, but it keeps my furniture safe... which was a target of hers at first (by the way... little tip, put Vicks Vapor Rub on furniture chew zones and that stopped the chewing in it's tracks :-) This ring (I bought the big size) is invincible!!! she has had it for about a month now I would say and has barely gnawed on it, it will take her a long time to get through that is for sure and adds to her variety of chew toys. I do see her quite often with this one between her paws and just a munchin. Funny to see her drag around this heavy thing in her mouth, looks like a big door knocker. She does not seem to mind the weight and size even though she is only 16 lbs. Thank you for making indestructible alternatives to keep our pooch's happy. (and me as well for saving my furniture... yeah!)

Super durable for heavy chewers!!
The nylabone durachew line of hard chew toys are the only toys I trust leaving in my dog's kennel with him. Everything else, including an extreme kong, will get destroyed. Plus he loves them! This ring usually lasts about 6 months before it just looks gross and I replace it - however, it is still completely intact, just worn down, after those 6 months.

OUR DOGS LOVE THIS RING!!!
NYLABONE GIANT ORIGINAL FLAVORED RING BONE DOG CHEW We are owned by a five year old Greyhound, Kisser, and a ten month old Whippet/Heinz 57 mix, Diego. It was time to get some additional toys in the house for these two to share and to satisfy our puppy's lust for chewing/destroying. This NYLABONE GIANT RING CHEW is awesome. Both Kisser and Diego have been working at this ring and love it. Not only do they chew on it, they also play with it. They throw it around, push it across the floor, and smash at it with their paws. Diego, the puppy, has shark-like/vampire-like teeth and he loves to chew as most puppies do. He is into fine linens, pillows, blankets, tissues, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper big time, but this giant ring seems to satisfy those cravings. It is sturdy, heavy-duty, and keeps both dogs interested. Kisser is willing to share, but not Diego so we got both them another NYLABONE too just to keep them [and us] happy. Not only made for fun this ring discourages destructive chewing, fights boredom, and helps clean teeth and freshen breath. It is recommended for dogs up to 50 pounds. You can hand wash and dry to keep it looking good. At the bottom of the package is a graph that starts with GENTLE CHEWING STYLE and works it way up to EXTREME CHEWING STYLE. This ring is for EXTREME chewers. Kisser is a gentle girl and chews like a lady. Diego? Dang, he's like a chain saw but this ring stands right up to him and his nasty little teeth. It's fun to watch both of them play with this also. I like NYLABONE products as the packaging comes with directions and recommendations. Plus, they are made in THE USA and that's always a plus in my book. Your satisfaction is also guaranteed; if you are not happy with the product you may return to NYLABONE for a replacement. We are happy, Diego and Kisser are happy, so it's a win-win situation.

It becomes super scratchy and just you wait until a piece is ...
My dog absolutely loves this. He is a pitbull mix and is a fairly average chewer. He doesn't exactly destroy things instantly, but he also isn't light on any toy. ever. This takes a while to get through. The only flaw is that when it gets halfway through, the bite marks makes it a possible threat to your skin! It becomes super scratchy and just you wait until a piece is missing. Then it's a shank. Beware. You just have to find the proper moment for when it is ready to go into the trash. **In the beginning, it also may take some time to get your dog interested. It's not as interesting when it's bite free, but the bee's knees once it has a bite mark or two. I may or may not have fake (or did I for real??) bit the toy to get my dog interested.
