We bought 2 sets, hoping to use both together to form a large rectangle play yard. That set-up did not work. We have found we have to have a bend between each panel to provide stability, otherwise our little guy would just shake it out of shape. What we ended up doing was just using one set and doing the octagon configuration. If you have wood or tile floors, I highly recommend you also order a foam playmat. I set up the mat (we ordered the HemingWeigh Multicolored Mat), placed the panels in the configuration I wanted and placed it on top of the mat. Then I took a pen and traced along the inside of the metal panels, took the play yard off and cut along my pen line. So the mat fits perfectly inside and my son can't move the play yard around. He is also 18 months now and hasn't figured out the gate lock. I also appreciate how tall the gate is, and that there isn't anywhere he step on and climb up/out, as in some baby pens I've seen.

My poor old dog has arthritis and some dementia at nearly 14 and I didn't want to put him in a crate so after a lot of reading reviews I decided to try this play yard. I love it! He has his bed and a large rug in the play yard and he enjoys being in there. He was traumatized by being crated to long when I got him, so I really avoid crating him and was happy to find this worked. Now I can have peace of mind that he is safe and not slipping on the floors or having accidents overnight. My plastic baby gates are all starting to deteriorate so I am excited to try this metal gate system and see how it lasts.

My 88 yr old father just moved in with me ... and with Dad came his 50lb dog. Now, I live in an apartment and I have 2 cats and I a granddaughter. This dog has, shall we say, minimal training and she's been known to nip when she feels threatened. So I kinda have my hands full with this dog. Sadly my father and step mom adopted this dog and she would have been a project for a seasoned dog trainer.... they were definitely in over their heads with her as they are NOT dog trainers. She has always been wary of strangers and nips at their legs/etc if they turn their back on her.... bad enough with a grown adult, but if she does this with my Granddaughter or her friends, we're going to have trouble. She has almost no exposure to kids so that alone is a pretty big challenge. On top of that she's got a chase urge and hasn't been around cats in about 8 years. One of my cats is a real "scaredy cat" who hides if you look at him sideways just to complicate matters. I have a lot of work ahead of me. When I knew I was going to have to take her on along with my father, I started researching gate options. I need something that will hold her in (thankfully she doesn't test these things though!), while allowing my father to get through with minimal struggle. His mobility is pretty compromised (he uses a Rollator) and he's a fall risk so he has to be able to get through easily. I realized I likely needed more than one gate. And I realized that until the dog was here, I really wasn't sure exactly how it would work out. When I saw this gate/yard, I knew it was my answer to my problems. I have tons of options with this so as things (hopefully) change I can alter how we set this up. After trying multiple configurations I ended up with 4 panels at one end of the long living room to lock the dog in both when we go out (she will crap if left in a large enough space) as well as a place to put her if we have company to keep them safe while she's learning her manners. We have 3 more panels at the other end of the room to keep her in with us most of the time while allowing the cats a safe space where they can get to their litter and food. (It's ended up also being great for keeping one of my cats from escaping through my sliding door when I'm Bar-B-Quing!) The only thing I haven't used is the actual gate because my father's Rollator won't go through it, but that's ok - it may come in handy in the future. We will be moving to a house soon, so I love that I can take this with us and adapt it to the new space. Dealing with the issue of this dog has probably caused me more stress than any other part of the move... or at least it's right up there with the more stressful parts, because I'm realistic that if she so much as nips at one of my Granddaughter's friends or even an adult that she could well be impounded and even put down. The burden of this feels bigger than the "burden" of dealing with my ailing father. So I'm really relieved that we have this in place now. It's working great! She's already learning to not chase the braver cat who comes and goes through the gap we left so he could get to the Living Room. She also seems to be ok with staying in the smaller space when we go out. I honestly couldn't have chosen a better option for my needs. This thing is quite sturdy yet light for such a big set. There are seriously sooo many ways you can configure this thing depending on your needs. And the price, for a gate with 8 panels, is amazing. I was getting quite discouraged when I started researching for a gate because I really didn't know exactly how I would set things up and I didn't want to have to buy 4 different gates (or more) to figure out what would work. So if you have any kind of situation where you need to separate groups of animals easily and quickly, this is your gate. If you have an awkward shaped space to cordon off, this is your gate. If you are traveling and need to have a movable pen, this is your gate. If you have someone who can't get through the standard gate that most of these things have, this is your gate. I'm going to upload photos in the next day or so to show how we have this set up for our current situation. Although I'm a reviewer here I purchased this item at full retail price as a PERSONAL purchase and am reviewing this because I want to. I have not been asked to write a review and I have no personal connection with the seller. As usual my opinions and experiences are a real and true reflection of my experience with the product. I hope my review helps you in your purchase decisions!

I ordered this gate in order to keep our dachshunds from jumping up and down on the furniture. Dachshunds are prone to herniated discs from jumping and we have had two who have had to have back surgery since September. I want to make sure that they don't continue to jump. Our room is 19 feel across so we had to buy two and they fit together perfectly and stand on their own. I like the fact that I will be able to move them into different positions as needed and remove them easily for company. I wish I had seen this long ago; before our dogs became injured. I have attached pictures showing the gates separating the living and dining room.

Finally I found something that can hold my two crazy puppies in! I have a 7 month old feisty chiweenie and a 4 month old boston terrier and I've tried just about everything. They destroyed the heavy duty fabric playpen I got them, and a kennel was too small and they hated it. So I tried looking for doggy fences like this and anything similar like this built for dogs as extremely expensive. Then I found this, and decided to try it. I am so happy! pictures will tell more then I can but as you can see they hold in my pups perfectly! and they don't even mind it is the best part! they have their bedroom area, their play area and bathroom all in one fenced corner of my apartment, and I'm not even using all the walls! This also really helped with potty training. I was worried it was going to take up too much space of my small apartment but its so versatile its awesome! I was also worried the dogs were going to be able to jump over the gate but not even close! SO satisfied with this purchase with defiantly recommend to any small dog/ puppy owners!

Would give 10 stars if i could! Best deal and well made! I like that 95% of this is metal and the small plastic parts can be replaced if needs be. Super easy to use. It does weight more than i had hoped for at 15-20lb and is taller than the descriptions. It stands at 28 1/2in high. The gate is 16 1/2 wide, each panel is 25 1/2in wide counting the joints. The spaces between the bars are small at only 2 1/4in gap. remember to read directions before pulling the gate apart as the plastic joints need to be loosened first. You can remove panels, which i like in under 1 minute!. The wall connectors are attached to the gate when you get it, so don't think they forgot them. You can make this into an octagon/circle, square, or a rectangle, L- shape, and probable a triangle! The gates opening is a little small it you are blessed with nice size hips, but it is workable for me and my family that range from 125lb to 230lb. This will work great for my puppy! please check out my photos! This is the best deal you will find online!

I just got this Saturday. It took me all of 10 minutes to install the brackets to the wall. I had to remove 2 panels because it was so long. I have a very muddy backyard and it just rained same day I did the install. It was perfect to keep the dogs from rushing in the house after getting all muddy. No more muddy paw tracks in this house! I read other reviews that were less then satisfied wit his product. They were basically all kid related. I dont have kids so I can't say if this is the best product for them. But I foster dogs and have anywhere from 5-10 dogs in my house at a time. This gate is perfect for them. Very happy customer and I've gotten so many compliments from my dog rescue community. They are so jealous and have already started ordering for themselves.

I'm so happy with this purchase. We needed an extra long gate to keep our curious 2 year old and crawling 8 month old away from the Christmas tree and presents, and this works great. The height of the gate is a little shorter than our toddler, but he still can't climb over it so it gets the job done. The length is very impressive. With our Christmas tree, we didn't need to use all sections, but we'll be using it to close off our kitchen later, which no other gate has been long enough to do. It anchors right into the wall so it's nice and sturdy. Both of our kids have pulled on it, shaken it, etc and it's holding up fine. The little entry door is also easy to open and close. To keep our toddler out, we use a zip tie or lock on the latch, which works great. I looked everywhere for a gate this size and this was definitely the best deal.

We bought this for our puppy since the first day he came home. He has no problems sleeping and playing inside. He's never climbed on it which we are so happy. Now we got another one to use as a gate in the kitchen and the rest parts to expand his bedroom a bit so he has more room to move around.

These Regalo Play Yard's are fantastic! We have a very active and mischievous little puppy who likes to dig. We bought 3 of the 192" Play Yard's and set up sectioned off areas in our back yard--they work and look great. I'm not sure if they're really meant to be used outdoors, but so far so good. The handy gates make it easy to move through them with out having to move the entire fencing around. They are well made, versatile and attractive. They are exactly what we needed to quorum off our dog. Great product!
