I bought this product as a sealer for a project I was working on. I was truly amazed at how well it works and it’s very fast drying. I wouldn’t recommend spraying this product indoors as it has a very strong odor to it until it dries. I would also recommend using a face mask or respirator while using it. It works great and would recommend it to others.

Smells horrible when applying, make sure you have a well ventilated area before applying this finish. The odor is barely noticeable within a few hours. Provides great protection for my craft projects.

I don’t think the smell was any worse than similar projects. It gave my projects a nice smooth shiny finish! You definitely have to let it dry all the way in cool dry air before you touch it! :)

I was impressed with the easy, smooth-flowing spray application. It dried very fast and evenly, without streaking or "pooling". I teach outreach-education art classes, and it made the students' acrylic painting on canvas board appear vivid and glass-like, which was desirable for this project. They were impressed with their work, and so we were ALL happy! (It also made preparing the boards quick and easy, as we needed a slightly smoother surface than the pre-gessoed canvas and this spray was way less messy, and 10 times faster, than applying and then drying liquid acrylic gloss). I have ordered more cans.

I've used Aleene's Tacky Glue for over 30 years, so when this came up in my results, I put it right it my cart. High quality as expected. Leaves a shiny gloss finish. Sprays in a very fine mist and goes on nicely. I previously used Krylon and found this to be just as good for my needs as a crafter who uses these over acrylic paint.

Does just what it's supposed to. Pros: I used this sealer on a pair of motorcycle boots I painted on and it sprayed evenly, dried quickly, and makes the colors really pop. I did 3 layers over the course of 2 days to allow it to fully dry. It dried with a clear, bright shine. When looking at my pictures, note I only sprayed this sealer on the painted areas of the boot, not the rest of it. Cons: The smell was a bit strong even though I was outside at the time, and there was a sight breeze. My neighbor 2 doors over actually came to check on me because of it, and they were downwind of me. So if you're going to use this, don't do it indoors or in a small space. Try to be outside or at the very least, have a fan on or something. If you're rather sensitive to paint or chemical smells, you would benefit from a painter's mask with a filter. Overall, I'm pleased with this product and will use it on a few other craft ideas and projects I'm working on.

It goes on clear and dries fast. I've used the gloss on a at least dozen projects now and love it. Note that when spraying expect a lacquer type odor, so only spray it outside on a non-windy day. I'm leased to say stuff I've sprayed two years ago has not yellowed and the finish is still excellent. The only con I can note is there's a lacquer type odor that lingers if you apply HEAVY coats. Yes expect the smell to stay on your project for a week as it dissipates ... and yes it eventually it does go away. Ease of use - 5 Quality - 5 Durability - 5 Odor - 4 Overall - 5

I painted a wooden plaque, then glued beads, glass, old pieces of jewelry. When it was dry I sprayed the Aleenes Spray Gloss Sealer and it gave it a nice sheen finish that I am very happy with. I did cover the paper quote I glued in the middle of the plaque since I figured the gloss would smear or damage the paper. This is the first time I have used this product and wasn't sure what distance to hold the can when spraying. I found it sprayed better and smoother when I held the can closer . Holding it farther away just misted it and made it spotty looking, so after a few tries I got it to cover smooth. .

I Spray 5-10 semi thin coats about 20-30 min apart. Get a clean glass like finish similar (not as thick) as epoxy resin. I don't even want to waste my time trying other clear coats.

I do rock painting. At first, I tried clear spray paint because others were doing that. Only to find out that the clear spray paint was washing off. I'm glad I found This! This works wonders in keeping those paintings on the rocks so no more wash away
