I've had this for a few months now and thankfully I haven't had to use it. I keep it under my rear fender well hidden and secured so it doesn't fall out while driving. It was so well tucked away that the other day I went to check to see if it was still there and barely found it. For a minute I thought, "Ah well, there goes my spare key." But alas it was there. So I can say that the magnet is strong and it has plenty of space for my one truck key. ******UPDATE******** I just upgraded my star rating from 4 to 5. The other day, nearly a year after placing it under my rear fender and driving thousands of miles, I accidentally locked my keys in the vehicle. I automatically went to the rear fender and there was the magnetic keycase right where it was supposed to be. I figured, "It's gotta be gone by now." But no. There it was, tucked into the fender all muddy. It took some elbow grease to open but open it did and I was able to open my truck door.

Works perfectly!
Super strong magnet and roomy enough for a large set of keys, although I only use it for the fob. My driver door handle broke, making it impossible to open the driver door from the outside. After one experience locking my 3 year old in the car with it running, I decided to purchase this to keep an extra key fob on hand outside the car (not the actual key, just the keyless entry fob). I wasn't thinking that my auto-locks lock the doors while I'm driving, and when I opened the driver door, it only unlocked that one...left my purse and the keys in the car to run into my dad's house quickly and came out to a driver's door that wouldn't open and 3 other doors that were locked. Good thing for AAA, but the 45 minute wait with my daughter in the car was something I never want to experience again. Anyway...knowing it might be a while before my husband gets around to fixing the handle (he works 60 hour weeks, but is still too stubborn to pay someone to do something he can do..I'm driving his car for now), I purchased this and a couple of extra keyless entry fobs, stuck one to the only piece of metal I could find near the inside of my wheel well and went on my way. I've been driving with it there for months now and it hasn't budged, and I have to pull pretty hard to remove it. I highly recommend if you are someone who frequently locks your keys in your car.

Good Size for Modern Keys
Fits a 2014 Subaru Forester key, which combines the electronic fob and key in one. Why don't local Auto Parts stock this? They still carry the old style that is way too small. I was using the smaller one, but had a hole cut out so the key could stick out. The box is 3-3/4 inches long and my key fits with just a small angling. If keys keep getting bigger, this box will have to get bigger. I put the key in plastic to protect its electronics from any water I might get into. The magnet is great.

Funny story!
So originally I had bought a fake key rock also off of Amazon to store my spare key near my apartment long story short it disappeared either from the lawn care people or the dozens of kids who play in the bushes where I hid my fake rock. So after locking myself out of my apartment and failing to locate my spare key rock I resorted to calling my land lord who was literally pulling into his home about to shut his work phone off for the day. After he let me in he recommended I get the magnet that goes under your car and can hold keys. As soon as I got back into my apartment I ordered this little gem. When I received it it seemed a little flimsy I was very skeptical to put my spare car and house key in it, especially where I'm at in Florida it rains A LOT. So I took a chance anyway after some fumbling of where to securely put in under my car I found a decent spot for it. 2 weeks later I thought I had lost my keys so I get under my car to look for this spare key box. It took my and a buddy of mine almost 10 minutes to find it because it blended in so well and man was it really stuck on there. I was very impressed with this thing well worth the money!

So glad I bought this.
Awesome. I bought this 3 months ago and waited to write a review since the whole point of the magnets is for the key to stay on my car while I drive that said car. I must say thank goodness I bought this. To start I first got the idea for buying this when my wife and I were visiting my parents for a weekend an hour and a half away from our house. It was a Sunday night and we decided before we hit the interstate home, we would stop at the grocery store. Well upon getting out of the car I always get out and lock the door manually because my key fob doesn't work to lock my car anymore (It still unlocks the car and it is not the batteries) but instead of getting out right away, my wife told me to wait because she needed to find the correct coupons. Well long story short we get in the store, I tap my pockets and notice something was amiss, and bolted to the car. After checking all the doors (hoping that magically one door did not lock, because you know that happens at a time like this). Then I notice the keys sitting in the cup holder. Before I went to tell the wife the fabulous news, I actually checked the doors again. Because you know...........the magic doors. Anyways....being a Sunday night not a lot of tow companies were open but we finally found a guy who actually did not live to far and since he was down the road gave us a discount. Thanks Mister Tow Man. After that moment I went out and bought this Master Lock Gem. It's big enough that you can fit a car key with the FOB into the space. But most importantly in my book is that it stays put! I know this because just last weekend my wife and I were out, (not too far from our house), and we stopped by a buddy of mine's apartment and left. We he had to go somewhere and when we got to my awesome car, I didn't have the keys. BUT this time I didn't pray for magic doors. Instead, I just prayed that the magnetic key case held up through the 3 months of driving through snow, salt, and freezing cold. Looked under the car and BAM! the case was there and I went from Zero to Hero. Definitely recommend buying. I wish I would have bought this sooner. Trust me it's cheaper to buy this keycase, than paying for a tow truck driver (even with the down-the-road-discount).

End-all Be-all review
Well, I had this mounted on the rear underside of my car, magnet to the underbody where the spare tire is, near the rear bumper. My car was parked on the roadway when it was hit head-on by a drunk driver. The drunk hit my vehicle with so much force that her Jeep rolled over in the street and my car was immediately totaled. She hit my vehicle with such great force that my car was pushed into the vehicle behind mine, and that vehicle was also totaled just from the secondary impact of my own. A day later after my car was separated from the vehicle behind it and it was towed to a collision storage shop, I thought to check to see if the spare key was still there, almost convinced that there was no way in hell it would be. To my astonishment, this Master Lock key case did not budge an inch. I couldn't recommend this more, other than to advise that if you think your keys may rust from weather and/or moisture, just simply place it in a sealed baggie before putting into the case.

Probably the best one out there as of now
Pros: No writing or key symbols of any kind on the exterior of the product Solid plastic, not flimsy like most Huge capacity Large solid magnet Easy open lid with a nice "click" to let you know its closed tightly Cons: If your key is 4" or larger you are out of luck. If that's the case then you should just buy a magnet and tape it to your key. Although decent plastic, it's still plastic The lid does worry me some about staying in place but so far it holds good. The way the magnet is positioned, it allows you to tape the ends without interfering so that's an option for those paranoid about the case opening. INSIDE Dimensions. Keyword; >>>inside<<< hair over 3 3/4 inches long 3 7/8ths inches diagonal corner to corner 1 1/2 inches wide 3/4 inch deep I included some pics above showing what a nearly 3 3/4 inch 2010 Honda Fit key with built in keyfob looks like, also a Dodge Ram truck key and a standalone 2001 Honda Civic keyfob. All in all, this is the best key holder I've owned and I've owned several different kinds. Will buy another one again if the need is there.

sticks better then glue
Update: 11/18 Still using this little box on my next vehicle. It has held strong for 3 years and I have never had a problem. I can always count on it to be there when I'm a little dumb and leave my keys in the ignition. Any product that lasts 3 years sitting outside and getting wet and dirty is a win in my book I have been continuously locking myself out of my vehicle since new ford keys run about 200 from the dealer. I finally got one made but realized I had nowhere to store the key when I locked myself out away from home. This little box is great! Like another reviewer I stuck it on for a few days before I put a key into it to ensure it would stick and it has done a great job. I found a place inside my rear bumper that I placed it where it can't be found but had a difficult time flying out. I left the box there while I went offroading, snow driving, and just general road usage. It is covered in dirt and mud but is still stuck there holding tight. It holds what it is made to hold, a key, and maybe something else small. I put a lighter, a small knife and a ford key in mine along with some paper to prevent in from rattling around and making noise. It is not watertight so whatever is put in should not be subject to water damage. I cannot speak to usage over years but for a few weeks of heavy bumping around it has stuck well.

Worked for so long I forgot it was there.
Still on the bottom of my car. Funny story, locked my keys in my car at a bachelor party in Mexico. After trying every coat hanger trick in the book the 65 year old father asked if I had a spare. "Of course I don't, that's a pretty stupid quest... Wait a second..." And then I remembered this key I put under my car 2 years ago that I never had to use. Sure enough, there it was. Opened my car immediately and took a bunch of crap from everyone. In summary, 2 years under my car still going strong. Long enough that I forgot it was there.

Exactly what I need
Strong magnet. Simple, practical and does the jobt. Fits my car and house key perfectly, and has room for some cash, card for emergency needs. Used to got stranded out of nowhere when we got lock out of the car from a road trip. No police or road side assistance could help. It was dangerous to be trapped in nature at night and nothing to protect yourself. So after that event, we decided find something to keep our spare keys under the car so we wont ever have to face that situation ever again. I have done research and just cannot bring myself to pay so much for something made out of just plastic. Good thing I found this product. Tip: Add some paper or cotton balls in there to keep the keys from sliding around and makes noise while you are driving and reduce the risk of damaging the box. .
